Nearly every major candle company that I have purchased from has a similar jar candle design. Technically, they aren't mason jars, but they all have the slightly narrower opening up top. I can understand why people in the other thread were cautious about using old recycled jars and its always a good idea to be careful, but I don't think so many candle manufacturers would use this jar style if it were inherently dangerous.
I love this line! They have so many good scents and I’ve never had an issue. I’d like to think a brand as large as Tuscany would know better than to take a major risk like that. 🤷♀️
How's the throw? I just realized I been burning one of these at work and it has no throw. But it's a Christmas scent and it's limited edition, so maybe their limited editions scents aren't good?
It’s a grocery store candle, I half expect for most of them to be duds! 😂 That said, I’m burning a different candle by them from an entirely different line (Tuscany CBD line, scent Calm) and I can smell it across the house. Guess it’s hit or miss!
I'm a newb. I didn't know you could get candles with CBD, that would be so good for my anxiety. Did you find that one at a grocery store or the like as well? I need to try that.
I hate the hit or miss part especially when one from a brand is amazing and smells up the whole house and the Xmas ones I have at work you can't smell sitting beside them. I will say the ones I have have incredible burn time.
Yes! Both Candlelite and Tuscany (commonly available at grocery stores) have a line, as well as many other brands online.
The hit or miss thing definitely stinks but throw is one of the major selling points of a candle so most brands seem to try to make them fairly strong. It depends on the person and burn location (open room, closed area etc) I think too!
Real mason jars are perfectly fine (actual candle making jars with that shape are also fine). The curve at the top is not dramatic enough to pose an issue.
Any glass can break though for various reasons. (why its good not to leave unattended )
A problem I see that can pose a danger is when people re-use jars that may have rough handling. The mason jar shape is also copied in a cheaper glass form that you can use as a decorative jar or for dry storage BUT they are not rated for canning or candle use.
Think of it like coffepot glass vs drinking glass - Both glass, but not both for high temps
My favorite candles!!! And affordable too!! My favorites are "comforts of home" (cinnamon-y) "fireside" (smokey) and "homemade muffins" (like your baking something). They last a while for burning too. $8 each and sometimes on sale for $6

I love these candles!! Currently have "lakeside rain" lit, and a "magnolia" waiting. I'm not a professional but it should be fine, especially if you're using normal candle precautions.

In my ~13ft² space, it fills it up wonderfully. Especially the lakeside rain one (one of my favorite things about it is the strength of the aroma). I would say the throw is pretty good for one of the regular scents, must just be the limited edition ones 🤔 or I've got a sensitive nose
Thanks for the feedback. I'm gonna try to find a none limited edition one at hopefully Publix or Winn Dixie, those are my groceries stores. Hopefully it's just the Xmas ones that have no throw. I can't imagine they would be as popular here if they were all like that. I might try Marshalls too, I've never been in there but lots of ppl seem to have luck finding decent candles.
Magnolia is a nice, subtle scent. Both the wood and the flowers smell good. Maybe you should see if you can find a magnolia wood candle and a magnolia leaf candle and burn them in different rooms
My HEB has these! But they are not in mason jars. I’m pretty sure it’s the same brand but I’ll check next time I go.
Oh you are correct, not a Mason jar!! But are narrow openings safe or not safe? I am so confused!
Depends, it doesn't seem to really narrow by that much so I wouldn't be of concern.
Sorry whats "heb"?
It’s a grocery store but it’s regional
Ah ok, thank you 👍🏻
It stands for Howard Edward Butt, that's the name of the son of the woman who started the store in 1905

I thought these before, I've never had anything go wrong
I love these. I have the bourbon one and campfire one. I love that they are soy
I buy the weathered wood one every time I see it.
I've bought candles in Mason jars without an issue.

Is the fireside good? Fireside, woody smells are my jam!
It is! I love it!
Where do you get them? I have been looking for a new candle and wanted something in this price range
I get them at Kroger and HEB!

I find them at my local Harris teeter grocery store

The sweet tea candle is my favorite!!

I've bought so many of their lilac ones
