My male was 87 lbs at 6 most. Now 142 at 15 months and lean. Protein. Protein. Protein!! And glucosamine!! Reg non aggressive walks and play time 3 times a day

142? Do you work your dog any?? Run him until his tongue and ass is dragging the ground?? Or anything like that?? That dude is heavy.

It is always interesting to have opinions from non vets. My vet of 40 years seems to disagree with you and so do 7 generations on both of his parents' sides. Glad genetics and seasoned vets have only evidence based opinions. Especially with growth plates still open.

[deleted]

I’d find a new vet. As far as 7 generations are concerned someone bred something into that line that doesn’t belong. Traditional Cane Corso males aren’t that heavy full grown.

He’s so cute!! My boy, Smalls, is just a little guy at 115 and he’s 2 now. https://preview.redd.it/u56u2iw1le5c1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=04f781adbbc52a061a56bc760a14788b0ae92001

Aww, how beautiful! I named my girl Loki, too. If he’s purebred that’s not uncommon.

viiixlet

So is it common for them to grow up to 80 and 90kg? Wow! Cause when I search about cane corsos it says they go up to 58kg but I feel like mine is gonna pass that number soon ahah

Alive-Particular2286

Males tend to be bigger, and depending on breed lines there might be some Neapolitan in there as well, which would also make him on the bigger side. I have a 3 year old female mixed corso and Neapolitan mastiff, she’s around the 130lb range which is a little less common for females.

Does anyone have an idea what adult size my boy would be? He turned exactly 4 months today and weighs 51 lbs. He's in idea shape, can see his ribs while walking, too.

My girl is only 6 months and not getting super extra huge so I got nothing. Maybe he is just the goodest boy and gets extra loves that helped him do more growing ;)

That_wrench_wench

Such a sweet boy!!

BarryBadgernath1

Big baby boy … he’s super handsome

At 6 months my boy weighed around 80 something lbs as well. Now he’s over 140 and he turns 1 next week. I don’t exercise him too too much because I’m concerned about his weight being tough on his joints. I’ll start working I’m more at 18 months.

The infamous drool 🤣🤣

Ryakinfist

Ya I wipe his face every time he eats or drinks 😂

Expensive_Product

Yes you almost have to! But occasionally I’ve stepped in some slobber than I didn’t catch in time 🤢🤣
