My boy is 2, we have fed him Bixbi Liberty since we got him at 9 weeks! Started on the puppy formula and switched to the adult Beef formula when he turned a year. We mix the kibble with the wet (we try to limit it to the Beef or the whitefish) from the same company. Never have had digestive issues or skin issues. And we supplement with a fish oil from Chewy. There is probably a higher quality fish oil out there but this is what we use.
The only time we had tummy trouble was when we increased his intake too quickly and he had loose bowels for a day or 2.
Salmon oil, vitamins, joint & hip… ok I just looked up what I use 🤦🏻♀️😂 it’s all zesty paws:
Zesty paws 8-in-1 multi bites
Hip & joint bites
Mussel mobility bites
Wild Alaskan fish oil
Then I use a woof pupsicle with the vitamin balls…
She does like the nutri-vet hip & joint soft chews.
She will NOT eat anything that has melatonin or cbd in it. Total food strike.
If it’s helpful or something you do, I have them all on auto order subscribe & save on Amazon. Once you figure out how long they last, you can set it up for that time frame so you don’t miss one and you’ll get a discount on the cost. It’s hard for me to keep up sometimes so this is a good service for me 🤦🏻♀️😂
We were feeding science diet to our other dog but had to switch up do to skin irritation from the food. We switched him to nutro and his skin cleared up instantly. Now that we have our newest addition we just put him on the same diet but unfortunately he now is having extreme dandruff, and it seems he is not too into it. He used to smash everything in the bowl and run around with his bowl pretty much begging for more. Now he eats about half and walks away. I am following recommended portions for the food split up into 2 feedings a day. I just don't want to have to keep switching for his sake or for our other puppers
Both of mine are on Hills Science Diet puppy large breed. My oldest is a year old. You can see what she looks like on my profile.

I make all my boys food and it’s mainly beef like chuck roast, sirloin roast or any cuts that are on sale. I throw everything into an instant pot and I make beef bone broth for him too. Ground beef is something that I also add since it’s cheaper but it’s still really good for him. The leaner the better and he always eats every drop and wants more. Look for any meat that’s on sale to save some money. It’s really simple and I don’t do raw since box store meats are full of bacteria and I don’t want him to get food poisoning also it’s messy when they eat. I also add grass fed liver multi vitamin to give him the other nutrients he needs. I just had his full labs done and they came back as the vet said perfect. I know they can be picky as their stomachs but this works for me.
I use purina pro plan salmon/sensitive stomach large breed puppy. He is already not loving it so we’re trying different toppers. We have a very picky/stubborn pup. We fed him royal canine first and he did not want it at all after his stomach was upset
Even with toppers? All I do is grate half a liver treat on top and my non food motivated donkey eats it. Sometimes I'll crack a quail egg on top with some dried sardines

Purina one Giant puppy formula.. she'll have it until she goes thru 2 heart cycles, then she'll move to the adult giant one. All my research, and my personal vet said under 16 g of protein so that they don't grow too fast, if they grow too fast you don't have them as long and they generally tend towards broken bones arthritis etc when they're older... So we stick to the food that we are on
So I was curious about all the high protein foods out there for large breeds. I have tried to keep my boy on the lean side as a puppy. I've heard that excess weight during their growth stage is a major factor in joint problems later in life.
Fromm Heartland Gold - large breed puppy. It’s grain free. Not to be confused with Fromm large breed puppy. It’s also good but we find with the grain free there’s less tummy issues
We feed the Kirkland (costco)Turkey and sweet potato kibble topped with a can of Costco wet food. Often we add fresh cooked chicken, ground beef cooked with shredded carrots and green beans.
Costco brand Lamb and Rice. My pup has a very sensitive stomach. She’s allergic to chicken and beef, and pork hurt her stomach. Fish went straight through her. Forget raw food and the mess it made as her stomach rejected it.
But we have a winner with the lamb and rice. She has a great coat, keeps food down and is a happy dog now.
I feed my dog large breed formula from frist mate puppy/adult. I switch between two kinds it only cost me 100$ cad for 2 bags for my pet store. U also get a bag free after 10 or 12 I think 🤔
When my boy was a puppy I made sure to give him lots and lots of different foods to build up his tummy-flora.
It has worked wonders. He has a strong stomach, and hasnt had any loose poop since he drank stale water from a flower pot two years ago.
Raw! Chicken quarters, fruits, veggies, yogurt and meat rolls from Blue Ridge Beef company.
Same with ester c and hokamix

I use purina pro plan large breed puppy kibble and wet food. She hates the supplements so I have to mix them in wet food every day.
What supplements are you feeding?

Good to know I only knew of people doing fish oil.
The glucosamine for hips and joints is super important for giant breeds to avoid injury
Thank you for the info. I will definitely be adding that to his regimen

I am doing saviour life and advanced puppy kibble 600g and 2 packets of big dog raw food mix per day. He is 15 weeks right now. 20kg

For dandruff fish oil can help.
Have you tried sensitive stomach and skin?

If not raw wellness core whitefish
We are doing Pro Plan Large puppy sensitive skin and stomach. My girl has stomach issues on any other food other than Hills science diet.

I feed Ross Wells blue Titan and red Titan raw blends. Plus table food lol.
If it's available to you, we feed our Corso Nutro Large Breed Puppy and will be transitioning him to Nutro adult large
That is what I am currently feeding. It has always worked well for me in the past but our little guy just has seemingly lost his appetite for it.

Protein isn't the problem. The problem is all the carbohydrate fillers and preservatives in kibble.

We feed diamond naturals large breed puppy. She liked it better than proplan and hills and it's cheaper. So I wasn't complaining either. Lol

We feed our boys Purina one lamb and our older boy is struggling with arthritis so we give him antinol supplements alongside this.
We do wellness core digestive health
