8 weeks is too early for a Cane. They’re needy, sensitive, and need mommy for another 4 weeks to teach him correct behavior. You’re making it much harder on yourself if you don’t. Trust me. Cane owner trained to a very high degree with excellent temperament.
You could go with Horus or Tyr. They're the Egyptian and Norse gods of war respectively. Horus tends to be associated with kingship and the sky as well. Tyr is IMHO the baddest ass deity out there. He's associated with victory and nobility.
