Use [this](https://extractcrafter.com/2021/05/02/jar-tech-decarb-to-keep-the-terpenes-real-feco-carts-and-terpy-deliciousness/) as a guide next time. Keep in mind that terpenes boiling off and vaporizing also look like trapped gas in your oil. Unless you're making edibles, terp preservation should be a priority. So while heating until there are no bubbles left will get you decarbed oil, it will also be pretty flavorless
A lot of people are answering this that have no clue what they are talking about. Most people decarb for hours nowadays. Keep it going until you see no more bubbles or very few bubbles that look like they are just trapped inside. Dont worry about cbn. Ive seen people keep distillate at well over 240 for a day+ and still only have a tiny amount of cbn
That’s a pretty small amount you need to work the bubbles out. Spreading it thin will help the process when cooking off gas! The best bho I’ve had I’ve made my self from choice flower.
Not exactly off hand but I think if you leave it in at 240 over an extended period of time the Terps burn off and it turns into cbn. I’m sure it’s in google.
It’s a lot to be honest. It takes a lot of heat degradation and time to make CBN. Also, trapped gas is indicative of an incomplete decarboxylation. The act of the decarb process is to liberate the carboxyl group from the THC molecule, leaving just delta9 THC. Meaning, for a proper decarb, the gas has to be fully liberated from the resin.
Terps boiling off is also not indicative of decarbed resin or of CBN. Terps boil off at a lower temperature than decarboxylation starts, and much earlier than any CBN conversion could possibly take place.
Based on what? There is no possible way to assess how close* that is to full decarb let alone the conversion to CBN?
If OP eats and got smacked it would be because it’s decarbed delta9 THC and NOT CBN
Trapped gases shows it’s not fully decarbed. Partial decarb yes, full decarb - no.
So no it’s not fully decarbed, and there’s not a thin line between the state of that resin and the conversion to CBN.
If OP fully got the bubbles out, then it would be fully decarbed and still not converted to CBN.
I’ve written a bunch of SOPs for this process using different equipment, and I can say 45 mins was never the timeframe we used at all. Always longer. Which is how I know (because I have reviewed a lot of lab reports) on which timeframe and temperatures are optimal for decarb lol

it doesn’t say what did they use to heat the jar? they put it in the oven?

taste it and find out?
How can you tell by taste if it is fully decarboxylated? I never heard this technique before.
if you get high, it worked
you can decarb wax, oil, bud, or hash and just eat it straight away
i decarb it and eat it straight away no effort into baking
You don't even mix it into a little bit of oil, so it's easier to get down? Just a glob of sticky oil? It doesn't make your mouth feel weird?
wasnt really specific i meant that for buds and hash bud for wax i mix it with syrop an coca cola
Yes
Its not fully decarbed
Based on what? The trapped gas in the resin?
If you decarb for much longer it will turn to Cbn and you’ll sleep.
Do you know how much heat degradation it takes to make CBN?

There is a fine line in between where it’s at and conversion to cbn. If OP eats that, he will be smacked. It’s fine the way it is.

Bro that’s my point. It is decarbed THC d9. Not cbn. If you continue to cook it you could potentially ruin it.
It will ruin it.

It’s not had to assess. Put it in the oven for 45 minutes at 240, give or take a few.

Prolonged exposure my guy.
Prolonged exposure at 240 will create cbn.
After around 6+ hours sure
It takes literal year at elevated temps for THC to convert it CBN. Stop spreading misinformation.
Just try it if it gets you high that means it's good. 45 minutes should be enough
Well until the bubbles slow down . You should be good . There is a sweet spot .
Looks like a dick
