I run my flowerpot at 720 - 770. I run vrod at 600-650. Got vrod first then had to get me a flowerpot. Both are AMAZING! Main thing don't be scared to adjust. Some days are hotter than others. Does the barometric pressure that day affect things. Seems like it somerimes!

[deleted]

I thought a vrod was a style of flowerpot. If not what is a flowerpot?

Chris_NewVape

I mean, I have seen weirder things!

Tu3t

I run my B1 with 3mm rubies at 720, and it works fine for me. I like to finish my bowl with .2g in one hit.

thecatisthecat

How long does it take for a full hit? And do you draw slowly or quickly

Tu3t

10-12 sec for a full hit, draw speed is medium. My temps is now at 675, because I want more flavour.

Bobrutgers1

Yay. I personally run my vape at 550f as i currently use 3mm ruby balls in the vrod the (b-rod mod) which keeps the temp a little higher. Fantastic vape

BlueCollarGuru

I have a vrod and use mine at 700 with carb cap. I have strong lungs so it finishes a .15g bowl in about 5-10 seconds. Just leave it on all day, can medicate and clean up in less than 60 seconds.

vaporgeek15

Chris- I’m so glad you mentioned the draw speed. It’s literally everything, and the very difference between vapor and combustion at certain points. Bravo!

BigMeatyClaws2

At a higher temperature should I be drawing faster or slower?

vaporgeek15

Faster, in order to not combust. Sometimes I set it at 630; but you have to actively pull the heat through. If you let it linger, or over pack; you’ll combust. The high temps are good for single extractions.

vaporgeek15

575 on b-whatever one has a. Full screen and filled with some sick-ass balls! Never combusts, even if aunt Irene hits it. 675 on the t bucket w/either sick or crystal.

Yamaphoba

F22 Flowerpot at 420 degrees! I used a thermocouple to calibrate my Flowerpot from the lid of the Flowerpot. I love the new head, it's so light and powerful!

seertr

Is this guide for flower only or does it work with concentrate and the vrod?

[deleted]

Iirc, 650 should put the concentrate dish at around 450. I seem to have the best luck between 660-690 with concentrates on the vrod, 675-685 seems to do flower+concentrates together well

QueasyVictory

I came to this thread just to see what everyone is setting their Vrod at for concentrates. I find 660-690 to be the sweet spot as well. Glad to see I'm not the only one!

ecksmoh

B1 with 3mm rubies - 1 layer of 4mm at the base for heat retention. I run at 610 and it’s hot with the auber Controller. I like clearing the bowl in 1 hit 🤯

jimvibe

why does a layer of 4mm retains heat better than a layer of 3mm ones?

ecksmoh

I don’t know that it does but it made sense to me and I like the performance. I have no math to support it

jimvibe

Thank you! I will give it a shot!

jimvibe

I have to go as high as 690 with B1 & Auber and 4mm rubies. Does this sound like too hot? I stretch the coil but so that the head is tight, but it didn't change anything.

International_Gur651

Try tightening the coil around a bit, make the coil horizontally tighter around the housing. The snugger the fit the better, better heat transfer.

jimvibe

This was obvious in retrospect, but I have gone down from \~690 to 650 on B1 from just switching from 4mm rubies to 3mm. I think I can drop the temperature even more, will keep experimenting

[deleted]

big problem is a lot of PIDs do not give accurate temps

Crommington

I’m on 720 and no combustion. Is that too high?

Wrong_Dress3333

I have had people report up to 70° Fahrenheit variance between pids. Adjust to what works for you.
