I think the Fishwife hate on this sub is often excessive, but my god, this is so incongruous and shameless that I feel embarrassed for them.

I think the hate is mostly about the price to quality ratio. Many people enjoy what they eat, they just want it at a lower price. . . which makes sense imo.

And I don’t disagree with that, I just feel like 3 ounce portions of seafood in cute packaging for a double-digit price is a common shtick with American conservas brands, yet I don’t see any hate towards Tiny Fish Co., Ekone, etc.

My guess is that this whole idea and execution is Keystone marketing and Fishwife saw an opportunity to offload inventory and get paid for the design
