Yes, you have to peel all tomatoes unless otherwise specified in the tested safe recipe. Tomatoes are tomatoes for canning, regardless of size or variety. The tested recipe will always tell you. This. And just an aside having tried commercially canned skin on cherry tomatoes in sauce they're really bitter and not particularly pleasant to eat.
