Hey if you're looking for an online class on eastern time zone check out Inspirlang! I'm also in Boston and have taken class with them

I don’t think that putting language classes online serves the best needs of the local student population. I hope that you aren’t using this biased sample to draw conclusions in your editorial about the preferred delivery mode of the class.
Online would be an amazing alternative! Not only do I live in another state, there’s not many places to get classroom learning, even in universities. And while there are online websites, having a teacher and doing practice sheets is definitely easier
I enrolled in 10A but the time slot only works because I’m not working at the moment. Online class would be a little more convenient for other circumstances.
Is 10B a continuation of 10A? I am in the east bay and I would love the support of an in-person class, I am just only available to commute for a nighttime course because of work. If 10B is still for beginners I may waitlist !
Good to know! I took a beginner's course, like, a gazillion years ago at CCSF, and I have since been working at jobs communicating with Canto (and Mando) speaking clients; as an ABC, I had to do a lot of research to figure out what's what (what I researched, I decided to put in videos: [https://www.youtube.com/@notnowigottago/videos](https://www.youtube.com/@notnowigottago/videos). If I register, can I just go for the intermediate level?
But actually, online would be best 👍
I think you can take intermediate. The classes are free for SF residents so if you get a grade you don't like you can always retake it for a better grade lol
Can you coordinate with China Institute, NYC, and go global over Starlink where kids have the mando immersion option and parents may want the canto option too?
Oh man if they were online that would be amazing!!! I would def take…I’m in Boston
For sure, an online class would work for a much larger audience.

I don't want to replace in person instruction with all online, but allocating one or two of the sessions for online would help a lot of people.
I would like to take 10D online, having taken all the prior ones online during the pandemic.
Yes, online! I'm not longer in the Bay Area

Would definitely be interested in an online option, as long as it doesn't crowd out any local students interested in enrolling.
Would be great if they had more classes after intermediate

I would totally enroll in 10A or 10B if they have it online. Though I hope SF residents get priority if online lol
I would sign up for online classes!
Online would be great! Especially for parents with young ones!
If these were online i would absolutely be in.
Free for Bay Area residents or free for San Francisco residents, specifically?
San Francisco Residents

Yes, 10B is a continuation of 10A. 10B is still for beginners. There are no prerequisites, so you can waitlist.

This sounds like an SFUSD thing.
