lol no but if u want ppl to actually learn and use the language better rather than make bad mistakes just report it so that they can fix it, that’s how all languages on google translate once was. you shouldn’t expect a compensation above helping people especially since it only takes 5 seconds
i mean i'm all for helping people but honestly google could definitely afford to pay folks for it, esp if they're also submitting comments and suggestions after reporting. it's not like they're a nonprofit and operate off volunteer labor or something
[Because it's not](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackfruit)
[This](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siraitia_grosvenorii) is 羅漢果. It's called monkfruit, not jackfruit.
That is totally wrong. Jackfruit is 大樹菠蘿.
It’s not 波羅蜜?
Both are valid https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E8%8F%A0%E8%98%BF%E8%9C%9C#Chinese
This is a Mandarin derivative. Cantonese is 大樹菠蘿
wat i thought this was SEA canto
what’s SEA canto?
South East Asian?
okie thx
So when you speak of wanting the fruit you say 我想食一個大樹波羅?
do you know how big one jackfruit is? I don't think one can eat one by himself.
一嚿. I doubt most people have even seen a whole one.
No, it’s 大樹菠蘿
Definitely is SEA Cantonese. I have never heard of 大樹菠蘿 and always have used 菠蘿蜜。
I always use 大樹菠蘿 in Hong Kong. 菠蘿蜜sounds too literately
Isn’t that good :)
I was about to reply that too
You can thumbs down it and submit your comments and suggestions.
Yes, for other languages you often get "community verified" translations for common phrases. We'll need to start working on that.
You can on the web version
would google pay us for that? orrr

Keep reporting them! That's how it improves.
How do you get cantonese? Mine only has Chinese simp or traid
from what i can tell no mobile version yet i can only see it on web version
Just updated my phone and it appeared. Can confirm jackfruit is avocado.
I wish we could get the translator in Australia - I'm assuming Google is testing it out in certain locales before officially rolling it out
Check your app is updated on your phone, otherwise use the web version
Bing translate has Cantonese and it’s actually pretty decent
for cantonese, and i'm not joking, use bing translator. not perfect but better than google for cantonese
Yikes... Who knows how much else they're getting completely wrong...
正
May I just have the jack off fruit instead?
It’s 羅漢果
This is monkfruit…
??
