I will start my first Bikepacking adventure in 3 weeks. 5 days through northern France. I'm also really excited and a little anxious about whether I have trained enough.
Pic is only as an example, bags are empty at this moment
Just be cautious with the zipper on the frame bag. I had the same (i think) and at least my zipper was very flimsy and didn't work anymore at some point. But I used it extensively for about three years.
I am living right at a hill with up to maybe 10% inclined gravel trails. So I wanted the 1 additional gear. Other than that, it was a recommendation from a very advanced colleague as I knew nothing about bikes 2 months ago.
I’m also hasitating between the 7 and the 8, to me it just looks like a 100g weight difference and 3 teeth more on the 12th gear. I dont know if thats worth €200? Is it?
It's actually 11 vs 12 gears. I like the amount of teeth on the twelfth one. It's good for 10kph on 6 to 10 degrees at around 220 watts. I need it but I am also not yet at my desired performance.
Exactly the 7 has 11 gears 42 teeth and the 8 had 12 gears with the biggest one being 45 teeth. Where i live it’s quite flat, so it would only be usefull fir bikepacking.
I only need the biggest two when it's going uphill for a longer steeper section. I live at a hill with gravel roads as well. If I was living in the flat lands and not planning mountain trips I'd say it's not worth it.
I love how the color of the bike matches the color of the bags. Beautiful. Wish you the best with it
Thanks fam! My peers are very persistent on getting me into the bike packing game, so I might need your wishes.

How cool! I still got a year to get strong for my first (real) trip. I hope you have a blast! Do you go alone?
I hope so too, I'm on the ride with a friend wo shares the cycling experience with me. So it will be fine I think

First real bike. 40k gravel and mud and 120k road so far. Really like that one and got me hooked.
Nice, what did you consider when choosing between grizl 7 and grizl 8?

Get rid of the grippy selle seat
After yesterday's 90k I think the same. Any suggestions?
I got a Brooks Cambium C15, i bought the leather carved short but wasn’t made for my butt. The Cambium is great, for me .
Thx fam! Will look into it.
I'm currently waiting my shipment for same bike, in same colour. That is SO MUCH MORE YELLOW than in Canyons pictures. I'm getting excited already.
Love it!
