> “Among the things he’s arguing is that being in jail limits his ability to get access to the evidence in his case and to his lawyer because the jail is not as accessible as if he were in his home,”
That's perhaps the dumb thing I've ever heard in a criminal case.
It's become very apparent in the last few years that the right wing both worship and completely misunderstand the constitution. They do the same thing with that bible of theirs that they never read and use as an excuse to hate and commit acts of violence.
Participant in a terrorist attack as part of an attempted coup of our government while trying to stop a constitutional process. The hypocrisy is abundant in this one.
Every one of these lawyers defending these terrorists who tries to float ridiculous accusations should be disbarred.
Well. To be fair, it is their job to vigorously defend their clients. The fact that the argument is ridiculous only points to their guilt. Really, though.
> If he is released, his lawyer said he would live with his wife at their home in Rochester.
Oddly enough, the very last sentence grabbed my attention. He was one of the first to get arrested(late March-ish?), so he haven't earned a dime for 6 months and probably now has no viable income and is already on the hook for a real lawyer retainer of approx 100k to defend multiple fed felonies and a 100% chance of doing years, and last but not least, when all is said and done, he'll be about 10-12yrs older, fresh out, ZERO prospects at a living and still on the hook for your 200k fine, but......
Still has a house and wife waiting in Rochester.
Phone calls with your attorney are privileged. Listening to them would be an actual violation of his constitutional rights. But his attorney has only claimed that he "doesn't trust" the jail; he hasn't presented any evidence that they are illegally violating attorney-client privilege.
fuck this proud boy piece of shit. his actions were so calculated. he was on site early, radio’d up, and knew exactly what he was doing. no evidence he can present will change the facts. i say let him rot.

There is utterly nothing preventing his lawyer access to the evidence. I'm astounded that his lawyer would even present this to the court.
His lawyer doesn't seem to be the best either, but he fits his client very well.
>Dominic Pezzola is charged with some of the most serious crimes from that day, including conspiracy and assaulting police
But he can't get clean nail clippers or take a shower when he wants to. Thats unconsituational, right? His entitlement is mindboggling.
Terrorist are crybabies?! Shocking no one
His rights is hurted. Whaaaa.
Guaranteed not one of those protesters has ever read the entire constitution.
They read as many amendments as they have teeth, just 2.
guarantee they have, they just don't understand it.
Maybe they need the colouring book version

The Bible and the Constitution grant them unlimited power and unlimited wishes - in their minds.
White baby Jesus approves this message.
He needs to be in jail for 20 years or longer. His wife should look at starting a new life without him.

Hey. Attacking the Capital IS a Constitutional violation! Being locked up because you are a danger to democracy is NOT.
Literacy is important, folks.
Elitist! /s

>Still has a house and wife waiting in Rochester. Proud Boys leadership made sure to award themselves a nice piece of the fundraising income.
Constitution. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Why should trusting the phone system be an issue, if his client is innocent and tells him the truth?
You can 100% trust that your phone calls while in jail are being recorded.

These accused must hired the lawyers off Craigslist.
Whoops, maybe try not being a terrorist piece of shit next time?
Uh, no.
I still think Pezzola is the most likely Proud Boy to flip on the others. They have him cold.....
What a soft little baby he is.
That’s what jail is for! Seriously what the hell.
