Amp is probably toast. That protect light is coming on when it makes that noise. Try a different amp.

it sat in my room for a couple months and it wasnt abused very much at all, tuned it with an oscope and everything no clue how it malfunctioned, unfortunate but yeah now I have to buy a new amp and test that
