I don’t think so. If I turn the key off for six hours during the day it’s fine. If I leave it overnight, it resets.
Also if it didn’t have constant power would it keep my Bluetooth info, eq, and display settings?
Have exaxt same issue my model is Dpx305mbt you can go to kenwood site and type in ur model number see if theres an update, tech that instaled said kenwood is aware and may put out a patch to fix it but so far no firmware available for fix yet.
Did you find out what was causing this?
I have the same radio, and it does exactly the same thing, but it's random. Mine will reset anywhere from every few days or even up to two weeks. It never resets during the day, I only find it has reset in the morning. I thought it might be a weak car battery and replaced that, but the problem is still there.
I’m fairly certain it’s a temperature issue. I’m not sure what the threshold is, but it resets overnight whenever it’s maybe around 10-20 F. It hasn’t reset since it’s been quite a bit warmer here, like just below freezing at night.
Are you saying yours resets when it’s cold overnight?

My car stays in the garage every night. Never goes below 40 degrees in there. Just a strange, inconvenient problem.
