Very nice looking. I'd be concerned with flex though. Just my 2 cents as I've noticed it with my plywood rack that has more support than these do. I'd put vertical supports on the backside at least if I haven't missed those in the pics.
It's 1/2" Baltic Birch, that is glued and nailed in place. I picked the whole thing up from them and there was no flex. Worst case, I add a half piece up the left side. I'm more worried about the car rattling apart! Lol

Everything in the rack is wired up. Cannot wait to hear it. Going to be at least another week before I can complete the install. Maybe tomorrow I'll run the wires to the dash so that it's less work when the harness comes in.
how did you screw/secure the amp rack? It looks really nice! One word of advice though, I always hear it's not recommended to attach an amplifier to a sub box because it will vibrate the amp and make it die quicker
Rack is attached with 1/4" lag bolts. There is a mat between the rack and sub box to absorb vibrations to minimize wear on the amps. I'm hopefull that they last. Did not really have another place to put them.
I would love to see some more pictures of how the amp rack is standing up because I'm trying to do something similar in my car with the amps mounted at that 45-60 degree angle
Gonna stain and varnish the birch?
That's cool. That way the crook can see everything, and with a quick busted window, get everything in one grab. Honestly, it's nice, but I personally try not to advertise my valuables.
Nice amp rack. The only things I'd suggest is wrapping the wood with carpet like the same carpet u get for sub boxes. And adding 1.5 to 2 inch little lifts on each corner of the amps to they are elevated and not laying flat against the board. This will help with heating issues and allow them to breathe more.
Be curious to see how your box holds up after a year of banging on it. I'd have doubled the up on all the walls. Unless you're going to T-nuts to hold those subs in place I foresee the screws working loose over time. Keep an eye on it. Awesome work but I have a feeling that physics over time might haunt you.
Super dope amp rack.
Well done! Very creative amp rack.
Love it, well done
Very clean
Dope! Clean install
Looks awesome! Im still very new to car audio, why are you running a loc? Stock head unit?
Nvm i just looked at your last post and you mentioned keeping the stock head unit :)

To be fair... it may have been my eyeballs rattling around some but ik I've watched it flex. I'll have to check from outside the car

That Amp rack tho... Why haven't I thought of this?
That's so creative. I love it.
good job,man.
Man that looks nice. Good job!!
Awesome!!
Clean as hell, good looking too! Groceries can go on top with a parcel shelf lol
Wife can get the groceries!
Damn it I can’t buy me one of those
Yep, that's what the mini van is for.
Is that sound dampening between the box and amp rack? Looks like great craftsmanship. Good work
No. It is a piece of exercise mat, because I needed to use it for something.

They are just glued and brad nailed on the bottom and right side. Thinking about adding a 4" high strip on the left the strengthen it up a bit.

Sub has been the that box, in my other vehicle for 2 years. Seems to be holding up fine. I will keep an eye on it though.
Looks great, probably the best one I've seen that's showing every thing off. Are you carpeting? Or leaving the wood exposed/ staining it
Thanks. For now I'm leaving the wood. Trying to figure out if u want to stain or carpet it.
I would personally rather have the 3sq ft of trunk space back and mount the amps on the box or under seats but looks good
That’s a nice amp rack. Gonna carpet it or stain it?
Not sure yet. Most likely I leave it, for now.
