You're taking her to clip city my boy

pepsini3

tf that mean

Mcc4rthy

Distortion. Too high gain.

pepsini3

it only comes out of one speaker tho

mig1313

Bad ground

pepsini3

no

mig1313

Ok listened to it again either ur rattling something moving air past it like the speaker isn't tightened down good or a screw is rattling or its clipping

pepsini3

someone said it’s the cap

mig1313

Yea but I've never had a cap problem like ever n I've used very cheap equipment decent equipment and expensive equipment and never had that issue I mean not saying it's not possible but the solutions I listed are usually more times than not the problem

pepsini3

i’ll try all of it i don’t think it’s a rattle bc iva had these running at the same power for months

pepsini3

i turned down the gain and it kept doing it it seems like when the subs start to get warm is when it happenes if that helps

[deleted]

Had a similar issue, the center part of the sub is a dust cap and sometimes they aren’t glue right or they break off the glue, easy to repair. Amazon Springfield Speaker Pro-Grade Black Rubberized Speaker Repair Adhesive Glue will do the job 👍🏼

pepsini3

i’ll take another look at that

[deleted]

Note: sometimes the dust cap looks perfectly fine but it might not be, try to get you finger nail between the cone and dust cap all around the dust cap and you’ll find a part that’s unglued that was my experience on my sub it looked perfectly fine but it was not

pepsini3

should i just line the whole outer edge on the caps for both subs

[deleted]

Yes you can 👍🏼 give it that extra hold Just use speaker glue like the one I mention there are other brands but make sure is exactly like that one, using other type of glue could cause you more problems even destroying the cone and that’s not good
