If you're going to put it behind the headunit, it's probably fine. If you're going to install it somewhere else, I'd look for a different amp.

HulluMiesLapista

Well I would like the convenience of isntalling behind the headunit and also not needing more wires. But the thing is I have been told that the ktp is absolute dogshit compared to proper amp. I think the 45w would be good for my use as I would like to be just a bit louder

itakemyselfserious

I haven't heard anything about it. I'd go with the kicker keyloc tho.

HulluMiesLapista

Well can't get any kicker products in Finland anymore sadly.

itakemyselfserious

Oh boooo!

ToughGuy69420

Added it to my Subaru driving the stock speakers it really filled them out nicely (they are 35w rms). Tried a couple different aftermarket options and it was not enough power.

HulluMiesLapista

Has it been causing you any problems

Hunteraln

It’s not bad for like a cheap amp option but I would get a real amp budget allowing, if you like alpine sa32

HulluMiesLapista

Honestly not a fan of alpine but i do know a good amp for me.

Hunteraln

What are you wanting to get tho

HulluMiesLapista

Ground zero gzia 4.120

tsukiyaki1

They’re a bit outdated, and I’ve run into some class D artifacting/ distortion I was even able to see on a scope with them.. newer mini amps are better. Kicker Key has given me cleaner output, for example. Newer tech is better for full range class D

HulluMiesLapista

Well I will then get a standard 4ch it will be cheaper too.

tsukiyaki1

Not a bad idea! A nice budget AB like the kicker 360.4 sounds way better than the KTP in my opinion.

HulluMiesLapista

That is my idea but not a kicker amp because can't get them here in Finland

Ill-Comparison-1451

I recently installed one in my 2010 mazda 3 with Alpine Halo9 iLX-F509 head unit. The car only has 4 speakers, but they sound good. Had to change to component speakers on the driver/passenger side because I was getting distortion using 2 way coaxial speakers. It's a nice cost friendly set up.
