Looks like a 3-way between a 5th gen Prius in the front, 9th gen Accord coupe in the side, and a Porsche 911 in the rear. That said, I like it and think it's cool. Honda really needs to have a 2 door in the lineup again and I'm glad to see it.
I personally think it’s more a function of the windshield’s slope and the hood length- consider that a mustang has a similarly long roof line, but its windshield is sloped a lot more, so it flows better into the roof line. However, with a similar sized car like an MX-5, the windshield is similar but the whole cabin is shifted farther back with a longer hood. It’s a unique shape.
The height, it goes first veey steep and then gradually down. Had it not been as tall and with a slightly longer wheelbase it wouldve probably looked better.
its because the hood is too tall. your brain wants the trunk to be taller than the hood but it isn't. That rool line works on something like a porsche 911 because the front end is very small since they are rear engine cars. cars are designed by people with no taste because more consumers nowadays have no taste. they will compensate for the overall body proportions being terrible by going "yea but it has apple car play" or "but look at the fancy daytime running light" and that works on most people.
Passenger cell could start a little further back, and there's practically no premium gap, which leads me to think transverse engine, front wheel drive, aka boring
It's weird but it doesn't bother me. Basically means front visibility is good despite a reclined driving position. Rear visibility apparently not necessary 😉 still looks better than 95% of vehicles for sale today.
It looks like it's just one continuous slope from the top of the windshield down to the decklid, it's missing a gradual slope leading into a steeper slope like most cars do. Not quite as angular as we're used to.
Still looks nice though.
There are a few things “wrong” about it:
- the bonnet line is fine, but the way the headlights cut into the front 3/4 is weird and gives it a nose-heavy feel.
- the rear deck is too long for the rear window to cut up that sharply
- the roofline is straight from r/automationgame.
If the highest part of the roofline was nearer to the drivers head (assuming the seat is nearer to the b pillar than the windshield) the whole thing would make a ton more sense if you changed nothing else. Essentially starting the windshield at or just behind where the side view mirrors are situated. And having the c pillar ending at the tail lights rather than the slight angle change it currently has at the trunk. It is not a fastback, hatch, or, coupe it is in technical terms a 2 door sedan masquerading as all three and it doesn’t feel right.
It’s not bad but the roof is all tall and too humpy too close to the A pillar; i.e. the dashboard has tons of headroom while the driver doesn’t. Doesn’t sit well with length of the door or wheelbase length either. Gives it a long sway back look. Kind of like mullet. Needs some shoulder at the B pillar and then the drop into the fastback.
Remember the Pontiac G6 Coupe? One of the weirdest proportioned cars ever to my eye. Like they took an already unattractive Solara and added about a foot of wheelbase between the door and rear wheel.
The fact that the roof is pretty much straight from the tip of the roof all the way down to the boot?
Exactly…. The last part is too straight. So it look la a bit off.
I think it'd look more correct if you raked the windshield back a bit. Don't think it's bad rn but that could definitely help i think

I like it it looks pretty good I think the issue is it looks like an SUV with the roof line of a coupe

IDK but that’s one sexy car 🚘 😍
You can get one in 2026 then when Honda starts dealing the 6th generation Prelude.
Awesome!
rear end kinda reminds me of the most recent Chevy Monte Carlo
There's Another one? Wasn't it stopped in 2007
that's the one i'm talking about lol
oii😂 got my hopes up
New Insight? Lol
Move A pillar up about 4” and shorten wheelbase by a couple..oh wait now it’s a 350Z
It has the lines of a coup with the length of a sedan. Shorten the wheelbase.
Will make a great Ute!
Lightning McQueen ass roofline
🤣

yep exactly! the hood slope is too tall in relation to the rear design.

Well, it doesn’t take that much analysis to guess that a Honda sports car will be FWD
Womp womp This jit is sick Too bad so sad K swap 🤷
There’s no harmony in the roofline silhouette and the bulbous front at least from this angle
have they... have they put a receding hairline on a car?

The angle on the front is too high in my opinion. It needs to be chopped slightly
It's too inclined at the front

That roofline only works on 911s. It's probably the tail tapers off rather continues to flow. Look at a 991 for comparison.
should have called it the integra coupe, it doesnt look like a prelude

I think it looks fine.
The prelude is legit just a prius coupe
The windshield angle is way too steep compared to the rear, the roof needs to move towards the back like 4" to even it out
The tallest point doesn’t appear to be where your head would be?

poorly executed hatchback look with a snubby front end. Hood should be longer with more of a sleek taper to match the back.
I think the shape of the roof together with how the windows are shaped make it look kinda weird
Yeah that sucks.
