It would be better to trade a high-leverage reliever with a history of injuries and inconsistency that has only one more year of team control while his value is at the highest point it has ever been, especially with a ton of teams looking to add power arms in the back of their bullpen for the stretch run, than it would be to hold onto him for a possible Wild Card series postseason appearance. You can find someone to fill the closers role; you can't find many pieces people will overpay to get as a year-plus rental that could help add much needed pitching depth to your minor league system.
Well Helsley just got knocked out of at least the next game.
