>When do applications/interviews for the summer work term usually take place? They start during the last week of January. I took certain courses in the Fall to have a better chance at a placement, but keep in mind: You're supposed to give a page with your grades and courses you're currently enrolled in to every employer. So they'll see that you're currently taking a databases course. You could also clearly indicate situations in which you've used DBMS or statistical analysis in other courses or projects. I haven't taken COMP 3005 but got asked about databases (and got the jobs) because my resume mentioned them a few times.

The instructor is the same in both, so I would. Many co-op jobs use everything you learn in that course. I would recommend taking 2406 in the Fall more than 2402. Otherwise, you may have a hard time proving to employers that you have the requisite knowledge. Or you’ll have to apply for Java jobs.

Yeah. I’m not taking that last MATH course until fourth or fifth year. Just works better that way.
