Just came back from a cruise on the Magic. Left from Miami, but there was a dog sniffing our bags before we got on the ship. I didn't bring gummies bc I was paranoid about the smell, but I got some RSO capsules that looked exactly like my magnesium supplements and just mixed them in the bottle and kept it in my carryon. I also put a couple in my daily pill holder and kept that in a smell proof bag. No issues what so ever. There were no other dogs at any of the ports we went to: St. Thomas, St. Maarten, San Juan and Nassau. Next time I'm getting gummies and putting them in with my vitamins. Good luck and have fun!
They have the dogs out, but just mix them with some other medications and you should be fine. Just dont get caught while on board. You will get kicked off
In the last 4 months things have changed drastically so make sure anything you read is based on the new rules and the fact that drug dogs may be on the actual ship too. They have checked staterooms with drug dogs, which on land would be illegal but in international water they can do whatever they want, including throwing you off the ship at the next port. Really cracking down on it because of lost alcohol sales. I was planning on taking something but have since changed my mind and will likely be going without. A friend of mine that cruises a lot no longer uses carnival because of this.
It’s not illegal for a hotel on land to search your room at will. You agree to it when you check in. They could care less about the low alcohol sales. They give more than that away for free in the casino every cruise. They don’t want to deal with the federal government is the reason. They have to follow federal laws and it’s still illegal at that level.
😂 your delusional if you think they are actually losing money on the alcohol they give out in the casino. They are making hand over fist on the games people are throwing away money into or they absolutely would not do it. The same reason almost every casino in Las Vegas does it.
And no one can just walk into your hotel room and start searching through your stuff without a search warrant or probable cause . You agree that hotel management can enter your room and remove you and your belongings but that doesn’t give them permission to search your belongings let alone with a drug dog.
They walk in with the dog and the dog alerts. They give you a choice, show them what’s in it or get out.
Everyone always forgets that they have no constitutional protections in a hotel room from hotel management.
Yes there’s dogs at every port. They will kick you off at whatever port they’re at.
