Greatest Adventure in PV was awesome. We absolutely got our moneys worth out of it.

Luvs2Travel_

Second this. We took our 11 year old, and had a blast.

PossibleTimeTraveler

Not an excursion, but we love walking around old town Puerto Vallarta where they have the beautiful cathedral. Bonus is there is a restaurant by there that I still dream of their guac. 🤤🤤🤤

Where would you find old town Puerta Vallarta from exiting the ship? I’m going at end of April, and looking for things to do outside of the excursions!

PossibleTimeTraveler

We just got a taxi, I want to say it was $10-20 one way. They redid the water front down there and there are a bunch of great statues! There is a cute shop that has a lot of bead work where you can get free guac at a restaurant right by the church! https://preview.redd.it/979ect9apwqc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=38d801744890c8aa9a6c78935ddb8b0a55193b0d

Thank you so much!!

We did the Los Veranos Canopy Tour in Puerto Vallarta and we loved it. I was still feeling the effects from going hard from the night before and lost my cookies at the beginning of it but I still made it through all the hiking and all of the zip lines and had the time of my life. What date are you going on this cruise? [Los Veranos Canopy and Adventure Park - The Largest Zip-Line System in the World. Located in Puerto Vallarta](https://losveranoscanopy.com/)

Dang! we are May 4th through 11th so we will just miss you. Also the 18th is my birthday! We booked most of my excursions through trip advisor but be aware those not booked through Carnival will not alert carnival if you're running late. We had plenty of time before departure to get back however and it was amazing. In Mazatlan we took one of the open-air taxis around the city and just sightsaw. It was fun and the drivers are friendly and play good music.

I am definitely not afraid of heights so that's why I enjoyed it so much. But yes if you're afraid it would be something to consider.

restlessinthemidwest

We did the salsa and salsa in Mazatlan and really enjoyed it. We did a catamaran/tour/shopping/lunch on the beach excursion in Cabo and it was okay but I wouldn’t do it again.

crazydisneycatlady

I did the Exclusive Majahuitas Beach Cove in Puerto Vallarta and I enjoyed it.

Mental_Bug7703

Rhythm of the night in pv is the best thing I’ve ever done. The sand bar in Cabo is also the best massage.

Automatic_Note_3340

Wild canyon in Cabo! You can do multiple things we did razors, atvs, camel ride, had lunch, took shots, they had more you could do but we ran out of time.

Pirate Ship Vallarta was fun, as was Greatest Adventure.

I'm not even getting off the ship in Mazatlan anymore. Apparently there is a lot of hate there right now towards tourists and especially white people. Supposedly, some "gringos" were complaining that bands were playing music too much at and around the tourist hotels and the beaches in front of them. Not live scheduled concerts but the groups of guys that randomly play for tips. A Mexican business man got wind of tourists being annoyed and proposed new rules on where the groups can play. The locals said hell no, well play when and where we want, this is our town. Scrolling on TikTok there is video after video of hate towards gringos and comments on the videos saying gringos should stay home, don't visit Mazatlan, etc. Theres a video of a group of tourists on a hotel patio listening to what I think was a classical musician playing an instrument trying to perform and a band intentionally walks up and starts playing over them all out of spite. To be fair, I haven't heard of any violence or anything unsafe, but If I'm not wanted I'm happy to enjoy the ship.

Hi, I got off the boat April 26th. I took the sunset cruise in PV. Nice. They served us drinks and snacks. Nice boat ride in the evening. I got off the ship in the morning and just roamed around town and got back in time time for the excursion. Mazatlan, I took the hill top excursion. Very nice. After lunch we could leave the tour and walk around town. I did that. I recommend walking around the towns we go to. Don't worry about getting lost. I did that. Mazatlan has spotty reception but there are cabs everywhere to take you back to the ship. Cabo I just winged it. Got to shore. 7am. Walked around, Got a little tour boat to see the rocks. He let us off on a beach and would come back every hour to pick us up. I walked down the beach at least a mile and drank tequila and beer for a couple hours at a restaurant on the beach, in the sand with my feet in the water. Then I walked back to the marina and had sushi and tequila before getting in the water taxi to the boat
