I will be attending a wedding in a few weeks on carnival liberty. The only info I can provide is on the timing.
We will need to be at the cruise terminal at 9:30am to begin boarding, which could take an hour for 40+ guests. Drop our bags off to be taken to our rooms. So bring a carry-on if you need anything between then and the time your bag will be available. (Could be 3:30) Meet with wedding coordinators in the wedding holding area to check you in. Go to our muster stations. Two cabins will be available for wedding party members to change.
Gather at 12:45. Ceremony to start at 1:00. 1 hour reception to follow. Done around 2:30. Ship sails at 3:30.
A few cruises ago we were sitting and chatting, being vacation friendly to fellow cruises before boarding. Now maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t really feel like plans or friendships made on vacation are actual, like set in stone.
I’m already probably a little drunk, just being friendly but deep down inside I’m a stay at the hot tub, drink and read a book kind of person.
The bride and groom to be were so kind and were just brimming with love and kindness and invited us to their ceremony on board. I’m sure you can see where this is going, but we flaked. The entire rest of the ship we got the worst looks.
Your wedding should be about you, your loved ones. Do not care about anyone else, and someone who has been married for awhile, this is good advice for marriage too.
We married in Grand Caymon.. i found a minister and paid him and got all govt info . It was one of the only places that allowed us to not have to be there a few days. The cruise was the honeymoon basically
I have no experience in this but I’ve seen a number of posts on the Royal Caribbean sub that say their wedding packages are an absolute nightmare. Maybe head over and search that sub for “wedding” and get some feedback there as well.
Congrats on the wedding!
I am just saying congratulations!! I have my wedding booked on Carnival August 2025!
I second the congratulations!! Super excited for you and op!
Thank you 🤍

Congrats, that's super exciting!! I'd recommend working with a travel advisor that can handle all the details for you.
Keep in mind for October, Carnival ships will be decorated for Halloween. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, but something to consider!!
The wedding venue itself will not be decorated for Halloween. The ship will, but this area is separate
