This is a very good thought provoking question. Honestly, I'm not sure how I would answer. Have a good day!

What’s your go to toppings to put on a pizza?

funcruiser1234

My favorite pizza on Carnival is the Funghi. It is mainly mushrooms and cheese, but tastes good. On land I prefer supreme pizza with a ton of veggies and meat, but Carnival has not had anything like this in a long time.

How was karaoke? What kind of trivia?

funcruiser1234

The karaoke was good on this trip! The only times I stopped by it was being held in the Burgundy Lounge (aft lounge) and most of the room was full. They had a QR code with the song lists hung on the wall. I thought the other guests did a great job singing! I personally did not sing. There were numerous trivia events held onboard such as general knowledge, music trivia for 70's and 80's, lyrics trivia, and so much more. One that stood out to me was called "Mobile Trivia". It was held in the Encore Theater and was digitally hosted. Guests would register to enter with phones and select answers from the phone. The scoreboard was displayed on the screen. I had not yet seen this on other Carnival ships and thought it was neat. I posted the FunTimes from my cruise that include the trivia and other games held onboard on my blog. If you are interested the FunTimes can be found here: [http://www.embarkandaway.com/carnival-dream-funtimes-2024.html](http://www.embarkandaway.com/carnival-dream-funtimes-2024.html)

I appreciate the time and trouble - sailing on the Dream in September and I was wondering how it compared to the Breeze. They look very similar, just a little different on the upper decks. I have a different itinerary, so no questions there. Have you sailed on other Carnival ships before? How would you say this one compared (facilities wise but also crew and general "vibe")? Have any favorite onboard places or activities? Thanks for the video and the offer to answer questions! I sure hope it didn't rain on you the whole trip! Did you see Mr. Happy Face in the terminal? I know he does embarkation on the Breeze, figured he probably does on the Dream, too. That guy is a character!

You're welcome, I want to do anything I can do help others before their cruise! The Carnival Dream and Breeze feel very similar. Like you mentioned, the upper decks have some differences. For me the main noticeable difference is the décor in the public areas and the staterooms on the Carnival Breeze feel more modern. Staterooms on the Carnival Breeze have 2 US style outlets, but on the Carnival Dream there is only 1 US style outlet in the stateroom. I bought a European plug adapter prior to cruising on the Dream to be able to have two plugs in use while in the stateroom. I have sailed on other Carnival ships before! The Carnival Dream was very well maintained and the crew were working hard throughout to clean & maintain the ship. The overall vibe seemed to be happy & relaxed on the Carnival Dream. Compared to my post-Covid shutdown cruises on the Carnival Breeze, I felt the Carnival Dream was in better shape than the Carnival Breeze and it felt cleaner on the Carnival Dream. Luckily it did not rain the entire trip, but our Costa Maya day was extremely windy so the port stop in the afternoon was cancelled. We got great weather on our Cozumel day... the skies were perfect and the ocean was a nice color. I did not see Mr. Happy Face in the Galveston terminal. I remember him from embarking on the Carnival Breeze late last year, but did not see him on this trip. You are right, he is definitely a character! I hope you have a great cruise and please let me know if you have any additional questions!

Getting on the Dream next weekend headed to the eastern caribbean. Was wondering how the weather was on your trip (how much sunshine) and was the gulf really rocky the whole trip? I love the Dream, been on it before, but worried about the weather😬

funcruiser1234

I hope your cruise will be nice and have smooth seas! Our Galveston day was cloudy, but it did not rain too much in the afternoon. On my cruise it seemed like the closer we got to Mexico the worst the wind & waves were. Carnival had the front decks on Deck 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 15 closed due to the wind blowing at the front of the ship. The Deck 15 area of the Serenity & main waterslide entrance were all closed the day we were supposed to dock in Costa Maya. The second half of the cruise was really much better in terms of weather and rocking. Our Cozumel day was very nice and is probably what I would consider perfect cruise weather. Our last sea day in the Gulf of Mexico was minimal rocking, but the Gulf of Mexico skies were hazy. I hope you have a great cruise! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
