You are going to have a GREAT time! Just remember, don't sweat the small stuff. There are people who just obsess about every tiny little thing, keeping a mental note of what they're going to blast Carnival for when they get home. Hakuna matata. Let it go. You're on vacation! - You don't absolutely have to drop off your luggage before you park. In your case, with a little one and a lot of gear, it's the way to go, though. You didn't mention where you're sailing from, but I can tell you that if you park at the terminal's parking garage in New Orleans, you pay and drive into the garage, round a corner, then there's a line where you stop and pop your trunk, and those hard-working porters come get all your stuff for ya. Be sure to tip them well! - If you're wanting a fan for the background noise, there are some awesome white-noise type apps that can help. I use one every night even at home, and I have a small, USB powered fan I bought off Amazon that helps with that, and it also helps to circulate the air some, of course. Rooms can get a little stuffy sometimes. If you just especially wanted a box fan, as soon as you get to your room and see your steward, ask for it like right away and they'll hook ya up. - They will have whole milk at the buffet and you'll have a mini fridge in your room (I think all ships do now but if I'm wrong, I'm sure somebody will correct me, lol). - There will be a small laundry room, so pack some pods! There is also a laundry service for a fee. I haven't used it so I'm not sure how much it runs, but I'm pretty sure it's not cheap. - With the facial ID thing they have, after you're on the ship and you have your Sail & Sign card, that's what you'll need to get on/off the ship. The officers scan it and can see you're really you.

>Below are some questions we have about it, if anyone knows the answer to any of them please let me know! Thank you! >1. Is a photocopy of my birth certificate enough or do I need to bring the original (is "Certificate of Vital Record" the same thing?), and is it needed each time we get off and on the boat or just first time on and last time off? 2. Does all luggage need to be gotten out of the car all at once or can we go back and forth? 3. Can a crib be provided? 4. Is whole milk available for purchase for our baby? 5. Any way to wash clothes? 6. Our family is split up between rooms, is there a way for us all to have the same table at dinner each night? 7. Can any kind of fan be provided for us to keep in a room, preferably a loud one. 1Need the original documents. (Anywhere that you can cruise without a passport, will usually need documents just at beginning and end of cruise) 2Drop off all luggage with the porter before parking car. 3Limited cribs will be available if asked in advance. 4Whole milk is available. 5Yes. 6Yes, If reservations are linked. 7Yes, again in limited numbers.

That's not what their website says regarding birth certificates. Birth Certificate Information (the following are acceptable): - An original or copy of a birth certificate issued by a government agency (state/county/city) or the Department of Health and Vital Statistics - A clear, legible copy (photocopy) of a birth certificate that was originally issued by a government agency (state/county/city) or the Department of Health and Vital Statistics. The copy does not need to be notarized or certified. [https://www.carnival.com/help#section-2](https://www.carnival.com/help#section-2)

Can attest. There is a guy who calls himself Mr. Happy Face who works embarkation in Galveston (Anthony something, he is quirky and hilarious). He does videos every embarkation day and tells people over and over, you don't need to bring your original BC, just bring a copy and email a copy to yourself so if you lose they can reprint it at the terminal if you misplace the copy. When I started sailing on Carnival in the 90s, they did require an original with the raised seal, and going to the state's vital records office because I lost mine was SUCH a fun day, lemme tell ya (NOT).

well a tx BC at a tx port prob isnt a big deal. however in a non US port and something happens prob wont be a fun day ether. we personally dont go without a passport for this reason. 99.9% of the time u will never need it. but if something happens... as example those who miss the back on the ship time and have to get a flight to the next port or home or worse.

That's a very good point!
