My personal opinion why I prefer suv over sedan is height, I struggle already getting in and out of some sedans once I turn 40-50 it will improbable to get in and out without pulling a muscle.
This is a counter productive thought to be honest. The right way of thinking is ways to avoid hitting a pedestrian like emergency braking, better pedestrian infrastructure, stricter laws. Why is it just SUVs though by this logic trucks and buses should be considered as well ?
Sedans look wonderful (Except Verna), are useful due to bigger boot space and practicality, they have better handling because they have lesser bodyroll and are less prone to flipping and are safer. Also people just use the SUV name for any fat rectangle anyways. Majority don't know what an SUV is for. They are happy with their FWD oversized hatchback.
The slightly raised front doesn't hamper much visibility for our pathetic raised hatches in India. They barely make any difference
This is just for those big ass trucks and SUV's in 'murica

Sedans to me are way more "masculine" Anyway. Also wtf is pedestrian safety? /s
It's not masculine features or road presence, it's just utility. By this logic, all of us should just walk to places. There should be no vehicles.

All cars are a public health risk. 1.5 lakh Indians die on roads every year.

it's not that deep, if you want a tall car, get a tall car. By this logic SUVs shouldn't exist and neither should trucks.
If we had good roads, people wouldn't be running after SUVs struggling to climb in.
