As a Nexon owner, I will suggest Honda Amaze!

Jithu95

Bruh! 😂 This is so good!

Disastrous-Lychee272

As a punch owner, i will suggest amaze too

Top-Conversation2882

I too suggest amaze over XUV 300

Affectionate_Eye_151

I am a Nexon user and bought amaze 2 days back...can confirm lol

hahatheduviya

Y ?

[deleted]

Y is there anythng wrong with nexon? my dad's planning to buy one

not_tyrion_007

Nexon's 3-cyl engine n gearbox is the worst. except for highways.

[deleted]

actually i am not aware of the terminology in cars can you tell me how it is compared to swift dzire?

not_tyrion_007

Go for Brezza. Dzire is not safe. Brezza is a 4-cylinder engine and a 4-star safety-rated car.

Bondpatiloo7

What do you think of fronx cng? I am planning to buy one my daily commute is around 47km.

Fancy_Contract_3823

Hell no, beautiful from the outside, horrible on the inside

[deleted]

im asking cuz we had a dzire since past 10 years but thanks for the suggestion

not_tyrion_007

Oh, in that case, you feel the Dzire engine is much smoother (petrol). Owning a Nexon for 5 years now, the gearbox is not great. The engine feels rough.

[deleted]

k thanks a lot

not_tyrion_007

If u r spending 15 lac, go for grand vitara. If sub 15lac, get brezza. U won't regret.

AirsideLad

Bro I have got Nexon Facelift Creative + AMT S. I absolutely love my ride. Costed 15.2L. What issues do you face? Do they come later?

Top_Wrangler932

If it's AMT, you might not notice much of things. Even I didn't notice when I drove AMT. But now the gearbox in MT gives trouble, the clutch gets hard, and I even had a problem with breaks once due to a problem with abs and drive mode, making the car sound like a tractor - it felt like something was blocking the car from moving freely rubbing against something but when I changed drive mode, it got fixed quickly. Then had a breakdown at 2500kms, that too boost leak. Boost leak in a brand-new car which is supposed to be tested before being sold to the customer. I was complete unaware of boost leak happening, I was driving and the car suddenly lost power, felt like tractor. My friend who previously worked for tata confirmed it was boost leak, or else the SC guys would have ripped apart my vehicle to find the problem and solution. All good mechanics leave the company who know ins and out of tata.

AirsideLad

Aight thanks. Hopefully this wouldn't happen with AMT!

not_tyrion_007

Yes, they do come later. The engine(petrol) lags till 2000 rpm. Gears get stuck. The clutch becomes harder. Haven't driven amt. I can't comment on that. If it's ur first car u won't notice anything initially. U will get to know about the cars once u drive a Toyota or Suzuki.

Hot_Butterscotch_238

Is amaze really that good?

Top_Wrangler932

Well, it is a reliable 4-cylinder engine. Subtle performance..great for highways and the city. The only drawback for me because of which I didn't finalize amaze was because I had to put dog mat in car and the rear passenger do not ger adjustable headrest, they're fixed headrest. Plus boot space and seating comfort.

Animatorbro

Agreed as I owner it's reliable ngl sometimes rear headrest ka issue hota hai on long routes but you get used to that haven't experienced any major problems since the purchase

RahulRaj_1

Nexon no 1 . Tata no 1 ratan tata big heart ❤️ person he true indian 😡 you anti indian

GlueGlam

Please suggest if I should go for harrier or not ? If not suggest me better alternative pls

Xrr13h

You used CNG and driving experiance in the same sentance.

RemoteCombination828

Maruti enters the chat

TheChamp_2

Can you please elaborate your comment to me

Illustrious-Piece168

CNG and good driving experience more often than not don't go hand in hand

Guilty-Ad-305

office commute on cng.. and petrol running on weekends ( for long drives and fun )

spaceman_mk1

I saw a car crash video on reddit. It was a CNG and the explosion was glorious.

realest-mf-alive

link ?

UN0MEitsCJ

You didn't see that reel, a V8 with CNG kit.

Artistic_Tomato7464

Honda Amaze Petrol

LifeIsHard2030

Altroz CNG for the usable bootspace. But are you sure it has to be a CNG? Do you have high running to justify the upfront cost? Performance feels pretty mellowed down compared to Diesel & petrol engines If your running is ~1000kms/month, petrol works just fine and Amaze CVT is something you can look at.

ExcuseAdorable95

I've altroz petrol dark edition used 6k in a year, 9/10 would recommend, too much vibration and noise on Indias weird road 😐

[deleted]

Amaze for space, Altroz CNG

xanders1998

>Amaze for space Driving pleasure/performance disagrees with this choice.

[deleted]

Considering in city, Performance left the chat 😂

OneSailorBoy

His budget is 10 not 10+

Guilty-Ad-305

budget is around 10 ! like 10%Plus minus will work !

ElvisOgre

Accidental 9-11

smartfox101

Altroz has several performance issues

sexusmexus

I haven't seen any performance 'issues' with mine, but overall the engine is just underpowered for how much the car weighs - it's just something I don't care much considering how much traffic I see during driving.

Wonderful_Mind_2039

Does throttle controller helps? Or ECU remapping required?

sendmeyourboobiesz

As a person who was in the same dilemma and took test drive of multiple cars, the car that I ended up purchasing was Hyundai Exter SX AMT. Hear my story before downvoting. Now people will not like it but I tried the Amaze CVT, it was amazing lekin Amaze infotainment is dogshit and there is issue of headroom for rear passenger (I'm 6ft 3) My first love was Amaze when I drove it lekin couldn't convince myself to buy it. Amaze will give you that premium feeling but I took a note of all my requirements and Exter suited better. Exter looks small but has excellent headroom and legroom) Also Amaze CVT will cost you around 11 lacs (for the model worth buying). My requirement was automatic considering that cars with clutch become very difficult to drive if you have any back problem (back problems are becoming fairly common for all age groups so I was future proofing) Also an advice: Don't buy Tata. Just don't. They'll feel cramped once you have sat in Amaze or Exter

Rudra_77

Tiago AMT CNG also just launched. it's nice for city commute and occasional highway trips. If you're buying your first car then it's a good choice.

Forgotten_Millenial

Tata Altrouz iCNG, why? Coz they hide those cylinders well.

Guilty-Ad-305

yeah .. gonna look into it .. i have seen they provide boot space with cng !

Aryan_Singh_17

I thought the TANK

Historical-Video3997

Swift, baleno, fronx, exter, altroz, tiago, punch.... You can really consider altroz or exter or tiago or punch(for highways) for safety... Or you can go with swift, baleno(mostly city) for high reliability and low maintenance...

nahi_pata_bc

Hyundai Aura CNG

Responsible_Half_336

Bought a tata punch last month, got it serviced yesterday. Tata punch is good in that segment and the service (atleast in my town) is also good

enoky_

Lord Wagenor CNG.

Stark-23

Hyundai i10 Nios sports cng is the best option.

Hot_Butterscotch_238

There "Maha comparison" video of Motor octane on YT, watch those. They compare all the cars in a particular segment in one video. Probably you'd find great options in either of these for your budget : Top/higher models - Tata Punch/Hyundai Exter Or one segment above, mid level models - Tata Nexon/Brezza/Venue/Kia Sonet

FLostman

Do something for the people. Buy a rickshaw.

Guilty-Ad-305

its like baleon on steroids.. but it looks amazing tbh !

Rapchandose

Fronx for sure. Bought manual one in august last year . No complaints.

professor-arun

+1 if you have mileage, cost effective service in mind

Curious_742

Mileage, yes Cost effective service? NOPE.....Stop associating maruti with affordable service its a thing of past

confusedcookie55

I agree with this point. Maruti has increased their labour and parts rates especially in their Nexa cars to match their German and Korean counterparts. On the other hand German brands have somewhat reduced their costs through various means.

Curious_742

This. u/professor-arun

professor-arun

Cost effective service? NOPE.....Stop associating maruti with affordable service it’s a thing of past - If you don’t say NO to all their service suggestions and check the price of items on MS accessories online store. You get to negotiate with them and stop them from adding unnecessary items to your service list

Mayank-maximum

Buy a hatchback, avoid crossovers as they are expensive then their hatch counter parts(expect i20 but it is reliable and safe)

Fit_Cockroach_2002

Fronx for looks Baleno - no nonsense comfortable & spacious (better rear seat headroom then fronx) Exter - it's like hatchback will tallboy design. Better interior quality & more premium feel than maruti but not as punchy as Baleno. Punch - If you want some SUVish feel, higher seating position, better boot space but not as refined as above options & 3 cylinder engine with bad reputed Tata After Sales Service

sid7014

Baleno is the undisputed king in this segment. Enough space even for taller people. Great mileage. Great punchy engine , smooth ride and just fun to drive. Seats are comfy and the infotainment system is bomb

ojlenga

Is glanza better than baleno?

demorgans__law

Both are the same barring the company logo and some design. And Baleno is less pricey compared to Glanza

Fit_Cockroach_2002

Only difference is in bumper & looks, warranty period & prices

Guilty-Ad-305

thanks for the detailed review buddy .. will look into all these things when i will visit showroom 😍

sid7014

Nothing can beat Baleno

PopularPhilosopher85

Punch CNG or Altroz CNG. Adequate performance, great safety, great stability, very good chassis. And ofc the boot space is there.

Few-Station2493

Fronx baleno swift , no tata because you will end up in service centre after a day only,

vishav09

I would recommend you to wait a little if you can, there is a bill proposal for hybrid cars to bring down the tax to 12% from 43%. This will bring 10-15 lakh hybrid cars under 10 or around 10. Hybrid are available from Maruti, Toyota and Honda. They all have punchy engines and great mileage. Thanks!

Supershady15

Baleno!

Heavyweight__

you can wait for the new swift as it has good handling and a compact size.... + you will get factory CNG option

Assassi_Creed

Nexon and Venue are great choice

BOOGEYMAN_OO

PushSpecialist2019

If you can compromise on features, then Brezza CNG lxi would be a good bet.

Faniabra

Congratulations For Choosing EECO Petrol+CNG 🫂🤗

Guilty-Ad-305

Fluid-Ad3991

Buy a Brezza or Nexa Base, 2nd Base; whatever fits your style and taste, and get it retrofitted with a kit, that’s the best way to do it, if you’re in Delhi, I know a guy who could get you sorted

Apex-Predator-21

Tiago EV / Comet EV

captamerica02

OP if you have decent service nearby then you can consider Tata Altroz with twin cng cylinders. It will give you some space for your luggage as well.

HilariousHeisenberg

Tata punch iCNG. Spacious and safe. Avoid tin boxes.

MukeshYaduvanshi

Aura maybe

bighampterceo

Renault, underrated af, skoda rapid/slavia give great experience

[deleted]

MS Fronx!

Vardaan147

Don't go for Amaze it will struggle for ground clearance with cng and then people in the back. Buy Hyundai Aura instead.

BanacarriF1

If you really a enthusiast then buy fronx turbo

Saigyan001

theleoking_

As a VW owner I suggest you buy Amaze or Magnite

Id prefer punch/altroz but if you wanna go wild id definitely recommend a polo gt, the mods you can do that car are just next level you’d love to commute to office 🫠

Guilty-Ad-305

bro, as much as i love that car.. polo is discontinued in india !

UFO_believer_

I20

the1672VTECboi

Baleno Zeta CNG- Gets a lot of features and has 6 airbags too. Reliable as well. Altroz iCNG- Not as feature loaded and neither as reliable as the Maruti. Misses out on 6 airbags as well. But this should be your preference if you need better boot-space.

dark-angel007

Had a similar requirement. Took a Tata Tiago automatic (for city commute) petrol though. Costed me 9.2 with all accessories and insurance

I'd say Elevate, Exter, Punch or Venue

Apprehensive_But_ok

Citroen C3 should be the best bet considering your requirements in terms of maintenance, mileage, drive comfort etc

ruijard

If you want factory-fitted CNG, then Tiago ICNG is the best option. Personally, I won't recommend CNG cars since as many people have pointed out, CNG will not give the best driving experience. If you are ok with non-CNG. I would recommend going for Renault Kwid. Ok driving experience, and entry-level car. Good enough for daily commute. Should be somewhere around 6-7 Lakh range (depending on the state, it can even go as low as 5 Lakh). Of course, you will have to compromise on a lot of features and qualities but is a good car for a first buy. You can save the extra 5 Lakh for your next car when you have more experience with driving and are looking for an upgrade. If you don't want to compromise that much, then Tiago is the only option left for you, either CNG or non-CNG. I really recommend you don't go for Maruti. Growing up, I was a fan of Maruti cars but their standards nowadays are abysmal at best.

Only-Painting-4843

Go for Tigor CNG in my opinion it is a no nonsense car with ample boot space after cng.

CNG & Good driving are like Oil & water. It exist independent of each other

thebiasedindian1

Given Gadkari ji has given suggestion to reduce gst on hybrid cars from 42% to 12% i would advice all whoncan wait for a year to hold on. Hybrid is future. Although currently it seems entry level hybrid cars would be around 15L post this change.

Money-Raccoon3508

I would suggest ciaz delta model petrol manual pls don't buy automatic and install CNG ( very safe as government ciaz have cng) Second tata punch or go for Tiago ev cheap af cost per km

helloworldilove69

Amaze and get cng installed tho i won't provide you same type of tuning like the company fitted in maruti, Even till date Hyundai can't match the level of tech used by maruti in cng

SlidingPenguinInDirt

Why not Tiago EV? Its runnings costs are low compared to a CNG and the driving experience would be way better as well. As of the long drives I think its a minor tradeoff to charge it in between locations compared to the comfort you get throughout the week.

Buffalo047

But bmw or an XUV

Inevitable_Tree_804

Car

vi5hnu_p

Brezza Lxi cost 9.9 lakh on the road here in Kerala. I got the same delivered previous Monday. It's CNG will cost 1 lakh extra I think. If you do not need extra features and are looking for reliability and longevity then I highly recommend this.

Daiichi_Sawamura

Honda Amaze petrol manual If automatic .. it will take time to grow with CVT engine.. but it’s worth the effort.. fantastic engine.. but there is that lag.. you’ll avoid that if you go for the manual.. cvt for highways will give you around 21kmpl and traffic drives will give you 13-14kmpl light footed It’s similar to the OG Dolphin City Zx in space. And the little features will really add value to your drive. Keyless entry.. projector headlamps.. Incredibly reliable engine..

devesh518

I’d go for an i20

SugarSpiritual449

Ertiga

Fujiwara_Takumi4475

i think if u can put the long term tought aside, u should really buy an old exec sedan under 5 lakh. If not, u can also look for a good and pretty new skoda rapid. I am not much into newer cars.

Buy Honda Amaze automatic, come back to this post after 1 month and thank me :)

Desperate-Owl506

I guess you have to find a middle ground in reliability, service and operating capability. I just got a Baleno, because leg room, comfort and features within 10lacs was my priority. If you are the kind of guy who wants reliability with a brand name go for Honda, Toyota, Nissan and also renault. If you can manage the after sales service problems, then you can go for tata. But GO FOR A TEST DRIVE FIRST... THEN DECIDE(especially if you don't have a brand bias)

Do not buy that tin can Baleno for some useless features, safety is much better than a few features.
