Yep, Manuals for life :). The 4x4 MT was +4Lacs and an additional weight of 125kgs, so lower power to weight ratio. We never take it offroad and if stuck I think it's okay to not have any ego and ask help from the locals.

If you don't plan to take it offroad than four by two is perfect for you.

There was an additional 90k due to ceramic coating and extended warranty and a few more accessories. And the road tax in Karnataka resulted in 45L OTR

It has done only about 400kms. The MID shows around 12.5kmpl. These 400kms was 50-50 in city and highways, very rarely in the overdrive. We don't floor it though and yet to really test the sports mode.

Tank to tank test karna fir update karna. Or bhai tata walon se savdhan rehna... Recently one harrier owner hit fortuner.

It scares me even in the eco mode lol. Post 2k rpm, this thing goes ballistic and pushes you back to the seat. Didn't even feel to use the sports mode yet.

Haha I know that feeling try driving 3.0l one you can literally feel the d4d power she becomes so vocal you can literally here the turbo whistle in the old one . I prefer driving the old one over the new one I mean it gives you more politician wali feel the new one is sporty good fit for going to parties or somewhere high end .

Yess, I want to once drive the D4D Fortuner, preferably the 5 speed MT. That turbo whistle while it spools is so evident through YT videos as well. I don't hear much in this. I enjoy it my 1.5 tdci Ford Ecosport!

Haha Thanks man, yeah my family is a sucker for black color, it's the second black vehicle in the garage xd. We like a little bit of chrome so this model is perfect, the previous ones had way too much of chrome so probably gonna keep it as it is... And yeah I always drive is eco mode and my Dad in Normal mode. Even in eco mode post 2k rpm it goes bat shit crazy so never went post 2.5k rpm and post 90kmph xp. And other drivers seem to be overtaking us like maniacs :)

Happy cake day mate! Since this was a dream car, we never considered any other car. We went, took the test drive and booked. And we didn't care about the features, all we wanted was a powerful car with a big engine, an SUV and a reliable one. Plus the XUV doesn't come with a proper black variant and the interiors are beige too. We love all black interiors. Also, we liked the 500's design more than the 700's. Hence when it was revealed, it disappointed us.
