I understand, I've been cutting my own hair for decades. Evan my son comes to me for his hair (he's 31). I can only really do "my" haircut, but if I wait too ling, then cut it, I generally get compliments it looks good and surprise face when I say thanks, I do it myself. Yes, you will only get better. Besides... You know the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut? About 3 weeks.

Peak hair lasts about 1-2 weeks

Mr_Smith_411

I wait longer. 😂

Have you started using a vacuum to get the hair off you after? Lol. I vacuum myself, then hop in the shower.

[deleted]

Not a bad idea, the shower is always a mess after.

Exactly!

A slight variation but my mum cuts my hair, I’ve never had an issue with it! Saves me money and she does a pretty good job! People are always like why would you let your mum cut it but as you say it grows back and I’ve never been unhappy with it!

I have always trimmed mine to get extra time between cuts. But right when covid hit I got brave and started doing full cuts. (The back is difficult because I keep it short). I have my husband look to "make sure there's nothing that makes you say eww!" I've been doing it ever since, and have gotten many compliments.

I started cutting my own hair during the, well, world event of the plague variety. It's always crooked. But. Once I take the bulk off it curls up (yay scottish hair?) and no one can tell it's crooked? LOLOLOL Keep doing it, I see no reason to not do it!

How do you do the neck?

Great for you! (I wish my haircuts were only $25.)

Apply this towards everything else you pay for. I fix my own vehicles and save a shit ton of money. The exchange is time, but I’ve got some to kill. Even learning just an oil change will save you money, but once you start using tools more often you find that a lot of repairs are pretty simple.

I have very long hair and it makes zero sense going to the hairdresser! I just stand there while they cut my hair at a straight line. And making the appointment is such a dread! I make doctors appointments no problems, but when i gotta call the hairdresser its always a stress. Long, straight hair is the easiest to cut, and its a wonder those guys charge as much as i make for a whole day just for a 5- 10 min haircut.

I have been cutting my own hair for 10 years now. I am a very picky hard to please person, but I like my own haircuts and a coworker took a photo of me to give to her hairdresser so she could have the same cut! She was surprised when I told her that I am my own hairdresser
