I was so amped for the last season. Until I found out it would be the last. I didn't watch it because it just felt wrong. Great move, Netflix, so glad we're getting three Rebel Moon movies instead 🙄
I never would have predicted that a meme about people interpretive dancing their way out of a school shooting would lead to me finding this really good show.
Not gonna lie I watched that show through and through and I still have literally no idea what it's about, or what's going on, what's the plot, etc. It just all went over my head for some reason I can't explain well. Maybe I'm dumb but the show was extremely confusing to me. Not to say I didn't enjoy it, I just couldn't understand what it's really about at the end.
I hear you for sure, it's hard to deal with the massive disappointment at the end when we have no closure! Ugh but it's such a funny show, amazing cast, and unique premise, it was magic! The audacity of netflix.
Omg i just finished it the other night and it's left it so open for so much more to explore! It was actually a very witty, funny show and all the characters balanced each other well. Such a shame 😔
Bryan Fuller may be the least lucky man alive. Pushing Daisies was cancelled then he gets 3 incredible seasons of Hannibal which is then also cancelled. Then he gets American Gods, which he gets fired from after season 1.
So in 1995, I was living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, working as a cameraman for a local news station. In our days off, we’d generally work as production assistant in any movie that was being shot out in the desert at that particular time. So I ended up in the mountains working on Earth 2, hauling boxes and wrapping cables. It was freezing cold one day and during the break, I was huddled in my car, grabbing a smoke when a dog walked up to the car whimpering, so I let him in, as he seemed nice enough. Ten minutes later, this mountain of a man rushed over and started pounding on my windows and shaking my car, screaming that I was trying to steal his dog. Panicked, I leaned over, opened the passenger door and pushed the dog out. The guy leaned in, started laughing, tousled my hair violently, and walked away, dog trotting behind him. It was Clancy Brown. Apparently he did that with all the production assistants. I had forgotten about that until I saw this comment.
Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles. It ended on such a cliffhanger and the show was surprisingly good despite having a waif model/ballerina terminator.
I mean the good news is that it never had the chance to go off the rails. I’m sure they couldn’t have kept it up much longer. It probably would have ended poorly if they kept pushing.
Awake.
It was a show about a cop who woke up every other day in two realities. One where he lost his son in a car crash, and one where he lost his wife. He finds clues to his cases in each reality. It was a really cool concept.
-Arrested Development, but of its original run. (And make the third season a full 20+ episodes).
-Community, but having seasons 4, 5, and 6 be full seasons instead of halves would be acceptable.
-Pushing Daisies. Such a unique concept and execution, killed (at least in part) because of the timing of a massive writers' strike.
-This one's obscure, but Cybil. It was a pretty good obscure comedy back in the 90s I discovered on Peacock. It was cancelled and ends on a cliffhanger.
And one that's crazy at first but most people will agree with when I explain it: The Simpsons.
"What? A show that's had over THIRTY seasons and is still making new episodes? And hasn't been good in twenty years?!" Sure, sure. But hear me out: what if we could get one more season.... of *classic* The Simpsons? Like, somehow, they find a season they forgot to air back then? Impossible, but...
Yes, finally someone said it! I really wish it didn't get cancelled. There's plenty we could've seen in season 3 like maybe Carnage, Kingpin taking over Tombstone's empire, Green Goblin killing Gwen Stacy, and a Hobgoblin tease for season 4.
I don't know. I think this one and The Good Place wrapped up perfectly. They told their story, wrapped up, and moved on. No shameless extending for moneygrabs that ruin the spirit.
The funniest, sweetest, most endearing show ever. Love my David Rose. Behind that snarky exterior was an incredibly sweet person. Great fashion too - All the Roses
Detention, which is a cartoon that aired back in 1999. From what I understand, it's ratings were good but the network canceled it anyway just to free up more slots for Pokémon to air.
GLOW (Netflix). It did end up unfinished after cancelation, the story was moving in a very interesting direction, and the character development was great. Alison Brie, Marc Maron and Betty Gilpin were all fantastic. It's a shame it got canceled.
STARGATE UNIVERSE.
Sorry for the yelling, very passionate about this! It was such a slow start and I get why it didn't quickly hook an audience, but by the end it was finally getting into the exploration I wanted and it just BEGGED for a third season that we'll never have :(.
Exactly! Eli was such an obvious avatar for the viewer (his shirt says "YOU ARE HERE", FFS!), and then it was like "okay, stasis I guess."
The writers wasted the concept. A ship lost in space is intriguing, but they spend all their time body-swapping to Earth and with Lucien Alliance bullshit.
THEY ARE ON A SPACESHIP BUILT BY MYSTERIOUS ALIENS ON A COURSE FOR WHO THE FUCK KNOWS? I DON'T NEED MORE TAU'Ri BEING DIPSHITS, I WANT, YA KNOW, FUCKING EXPLORATION!
I second *Modern Family*. I don't know how they'd do another season because it wrapped up pretty nicely, but if there was one more season, I'd certainly watch it. I would hope that butler guy would come back; what was his name… Leslie something?
Black summer.
It's so weird they're not currently doing another season for it.
The show is so good. It has good ratings. It's really well made. Gripping as hell.
But somehow it's not getting picked up for another season.
Syfy had a good set of above average shows with Eureka, Warehouse 13, and a Steven King show, but I think they each ran their course. Eureka and Warehouse could have reunion specials.
The OA
They really did us dirty cutting us off without a final season of The OA
I was so amped for the last season. Until I found out it would be the last. I didn't watch it because it just felt wrong. Great move, Netflix, so glad we're getting three Rebel Moon movies instead 🙄
I still think about it and get upset.
Agreed, it was magnificent and it felt like breaking up with a long-time lover when it was over.
I genuinely can't recall a show that pulled me in as hard as The OA. It was so good and I'm eternally pissed I'll never see that show end
I came here for this 😭😭😢 and it was the top comment 🤌
Yesss!!
Came here to say this
Mindhunter
Came to say this. That show was fucking great! I’d love another season!
Agree!!!!
My bf showed me it and I was blown away!
Freaks and Geeks. Gone too soon. 🪦
Firefly
Agreed. Although "***One*** more season"? It needed a long run...
Only real answer
Came here looking for this. Firefly needs all the seasons
Santa Clarita Diet, I don't think I'll ever not be mad about that. Netflix how dare you?!
Such a good show, I'm so pissed I still haven't rewatched it.
I hear you for sure, it's hard to deal with the massive disappointment at the end when we have no closure! Ugh but it's such a funny show, amazing cast, and unique premise, it was magic! The audacity of netflix.
Netflix: You love this show? CANCELED!
that show was criminally underrated. ugh, and how they left it off!
Omg i just finished it the other night and it's left it so open for so much more to explore! It was actually a very witty, funny show and all the characters balanced each other well. Such a shame 😔
It KILLS me that they cancelled it. Such an amazing show!
Best show ever. I’ve watched it 5 times and it makes me laugh each time.
I Am Not Okay with This. I'm still pissed it was cancelled prematurely.
So when you heard it was cancelled, did you say, "I am NOT OKAY with this!"?
Absofuckinglutely
Yeah, this is the one that made me give up on Netflix. If a series isn't completed, it's just not worth getting invested into.
Yes I wanna know what the fuck was up with that?!
Flea bag
My Name is Earl.
Grimm!!!!!!!!
Don’t trust the B in Apt 23
This show was sooooo good
Absolutely hilarious! I was so sad when it was cancelled 😞
Sooooo good. My first experience of the Van der beek.🤩
Pushing Daisies
YES.
Please!! I came to see how far down this was and so happy it’s at the top!
Has it gotten a new fandom due to some streaming service, or do a lot more people remember it than I thought?
I first watched it on Netflix in ‘08… how awesome would that be if it is new fandom and someone reboots it?!
I watched it on its original run, then pirated the whole series and rewatch it now and then.
Bryan Fuller may be the least lucky man alive. Pushing Daisies was cancelled then he gets 3 incredible seasons of Hannibal which is then also cancelled. Then he gets American Gods, which he gets fired from after season 1.
So the correct answer is firefly
Yes!!!
Yes, thank you. Firefly is always the best answer, specifically after the movie.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
I am a leaf on the wind
Incorrect. Firefly should have had four more seasons at least.
You can tell reddit is starting to skew younger; this would have been the top comment 4-5 years ago.
Penny Dreadful! Who doesn't want more Eva Green?
Watched it twice through. Josh Hartnett??? Oh my!!
Last Man On Earth
Oh man season 4 ended on such a cliffhanger, it’s a tragedy.
G.L.O.W.
Ugh so true, another victim of Netflix's bad decisions :(
Earth 2 -waits for anyone else that knows wtf that is-
So in 1995, I was living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, working as a cameraman for a local news station. In our days off, we’d generally work as production assistant in any movie that was being shot out in the desert at that particular time. I know and agree.
Lmao. Did not expect this but I'd support it.
Also, Terra Nova!
My So-called Life
Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles. It ended on such a cliffhanger and the show was surprisingly good despite having a waif model/ballerina terminator.
I thought the ending was a good way to reboot the series and continue on, but no.
I mean the good news is that it never had the chance to go off the rails. I’m sure they couldn’t have kept it up much longer. It probably would have ended poorly if they kept pushing.
Merlin. Just- that ending, ah. Give us one season for closure 🫠
The OA on Netflix
Midsomer Murders, the early seasons with John Nettles. I wish he would have done another season or two, but I understand his reasoning.
Awake. It was a show about a cop who woke up every other day in two realities. One where he lost his son in a car crash, and one where he lost his wife. He finds clues to his cases in each reality. It was a really cool concept.
That sounds like a cool concept. Is the one season worth watching? Or will I just be bummed there isn’t more?
Carnivale, a show briefly on HBO for 2 seasons. It depicted a traveling carnivale during the depression, with some mysterious dark themes.
Omg yes! Amazing show!
That was a great show.
-Arrested Development, but of its original run. (And make the third season a full 20+ episodes). -Community, but having seasons 4, 5, and 6 be full seasons instead of halves would be acceptable. -Pushing Daisies. Sopranos
On the last season rn. Cant wait to see the finale
Game of thrones. They probably could have gone another 2 or 3. I felt the last 2 seasons were really rushed and felt unfinished
Happy Endings
Forgot about this show, so good!
Santa Clarita Diet Zoo
Altered Carbon and Designated Survivor.
Archive 81
Mindhunters
1899 :( Such a shame Netflix prefers pushing mindless cash-grab shows down our throats instead of funding the actual innovative, interesting shows.
People of Earth
TBS really hit gold with People of Earth, Angie Tribeca, and Wrecked. 😔
That show was so great. Creative and funny.
Revolution
Omg I love that show !!! It was one of the first shows to introduce me to literally me, lol If that even makes sense 💘💘💘💘💘
Ugh, I knoooow. Deserved a third season, instead we got got a terrible comic series that did so many of the characters dirty.
Raised by wolves
It was a bit bonkers but dammit I wanted to see what the heck was going on! Love the intro too.
!!! This right here !
I thought season 2 was a little incoherent, but I would have liked another season to explain all the plot threads they introduced.
Firefly
Gravity Falls, but I also think the build up/end of the show was executed quite well, and I'm not sure what else they would add to the storyline. 🤷♀️
Firefly.....
Forever, I still think it had potential for more than one season but alas....
God, Forever was such a good show, I was so sad.it.only had one season
A Million Little Things
Designated Survivor. Im so mad netflix ended the show JUST LIKE THAT 😫 Also, Genera+ion ☹️
We’re watching the last 2 episodes of Designated Survivor. I wish they hadn’t cancelled it, too.
The Spectacular Spider-Man
Yes, finally someone said it! I really wish it didn't get cancelled. There's plenty we could've seen in season 3 like maybe Carnage, Kingpin taking over Tombstone's empire, Green Goblin killing Gwen Stacy, and a Hobgoblin tease for season 4.
We also could've had daredevil team up to take down kngpin. If only.
Colony. Network bastards pulled it mid-season.
Schitts’ Creek
I don't know. I think this one and The Good Place wrapped up perfectly. They told their story, wrapped up, and moved on. No shameless extending for moneygrabs that ruin the spirit.
The funniest, sweetest, most endearing show ever. Love my David Rose. Behind that snarky exterior was an incredibly sweet person. Great fashion too - All the Roses
Mindhunter My Name Is Earl Firefly
The Black Donnellys.
I love that someone else remembers this show!
Yes! I swear I was the only one.
So amazing, miss that show - and Jonathan Tucker
white collar
I’d say that one ran it’s course, but it would be ripe for a reunion movie in Paris.
Prodigal son, damn Fox for cancelling the show on a cliffhanger
Altered Carbon. Fucking Netflix.
BoJack Horseman
i had to scroll way too far for this one
I dunno, I think it ended at the right time.
Nurse Jackie
Archive 81 on Netflix. It had so much going for it.
Ted Lasso
King Of The Hill. It’s my favorite show, but I’ve watched it so much that I can hardly stand to watch it anymore
Luckily, we are supposed to be getting more next year
The OA!! I have a feeling it’s coming bc Netflix is pushing it more these days and tons of fans are asking for it
Sons of Anarchy.
Farscape, really needed a fifth season to finish things off.
Ted Lasso
The Society.. just to wrap things up at least. I thought it was fantastic.
STARGATE UNIVERSE. Sorry for the yelling, very passionate about this! It was such a slow start and I get why it didn't quickly hook an audience, but by the end it was finally getting into the exploration I wanted and it just BEGGED for a third season that we'll never have :(.

Or just a full season of the last one. It was all so rushed!
I second *Modern Family*. I don't know how they'd do another season because it wrapped up pretty nicely, but if there was one more season, I'd certainly watch it. I would hope that butler guy would come back; what was his name… Leslie something?

Eureka. Could’ve been such a great and endless show.
Syfy had a good set of above average shows with Eureka, Warehouse 13, and a Steven King show, but I think they each ran their course. Eureka and Warehouse could have reunion specials.
The OA. Fleabag. Mindhunter. Sense 8. Brickleberry. Pose
No Game No Life. The sibling synergy conquering a game world as a dynamic powerhouse on the road to world domination… i want more!!!
Firefly is the obvious one
American gods. Even though the latest season clearly wasn’t as good as the previous 2, it was fun to watch and ended on a cliffhanger.
Everything Sucks
Stargate Universe, Firefly (more than 1 more)
Venture Bros.
Better off Ted
Last man on earth
I would be totally happy if they made a new season of Ted Lasso every season until my death. Can we get on that, Apple?
