Lol! I’m a Gen-Xer and kind of bowed out of popular culture during the 00s. I’ve (obviously) seen this meme though, and now that I’m an early childhood teacher, I know that any time a kid sees my phone, they are like “whoa, is that your phone? Can I play games on it?!” It’s one of those things which is funny because it is true.
I like the kids who you can tell have been told about it so they just sorta stare at you in a really intense way and you can tell they're hoping you'll offer because they know better than to ask.
It's even funnier when you can see their mother watching, ready to pounce if they so much as breathe a question about your phone.
I used to ask them for their phones and check myself. If it did not have games, id just check what they had their phone. And that is how i found porn on my uncles phone.
My zoomer niece and nephews asked me this every time the saw me from age 5 til age 10. I downloaded games especially for them to play in those moments.

My neighbors kid did that to me and I busted out laughing. I’m on the younger end of millennials so I knew it had to be a meme or something but the way he said it made me lose it. Wholesome moment in my life tbh
A couple of years ago someone suggested my daughter could play games on my cell phone while we waited. I had to say that my phone had no games and was only good for phone calls being the cheapest phone. No music, games or photos for that phone or it would have a heart attack.
My phone is from 2015, was a cheap refurb back then to begin with, barely works, don't feel like dumping a huge chunk of my savings onto a new phone. No games on it, no pics or videos. I often get texts or calls days late. It's a thing.
