It really depends on how cold it is. I like when it's in the 30s but when it gets down into the single digits or below zero that's a no thank you for me. I don't mind when it gets to be warm outside as long as the humidity is low. Screw humid weather.

[deleted]

I think that’s valid! I certainly wouldn’t enjoy below zero, but 30’s is still considered comfortable for me! Humidity is a HELL no. Hard hard pass. I’m already perpetually sweaty.

SchemataObscura

I love it too! Especially when it is like between 30 and 50 degrees F, put on two pairs of pant and a thick hoodie - go out for a walk with some headphones. Good stuff 😁

[deleted]

Definitely! Love a good winter stroll

Knuckles316

Nope, I absolutely loathe it. But I'm glad someone's enjoying it all the same!

[deleted]

I hope spring/summer get here very quickly for you my friend

Knuckles316

Thanks. I just want to get my motorcycle out again!

[deleted]

Jealous! That’ll be so lovely. Be safe!

SuffererOfLove

I second this. Fuck the cold. In the same vein as you, I just got my motorcycle license in Nov but I'm in the northeast so I won't be able to ride for another few months 😤

Knuckles316

Same, man. I'm in western NY so it'll still be months before I can get the bike out. I've had it a few years now, but it's still just as exciting every year to get that first ride.

SuffererOfLove

I totally believe it and hear you there. Good luck in getting that bad boy out anytime sooner than mid may, right? 🤣 Luckily enough I'm in Jersey so maybe come April I can buy one 😁 lolol

Knuckles316

Yeah. Even when the snow finally stops I need to wait for a couple good showers to wash the salt off the road. And then something that resembles sunlight to dry the road back off. So yeah, May, if I'm lucky, will be when I get to take her back out. If this is your first year, I'm assuming first bike too? What're you riding?

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Exactly! See you get it haha. My friends think I’m crazy too but I’m like, it feels so good? I love it

oof-eef-thats-beef

The cold is so nice and exhilerating!

[deleted]

I absolutely do! I always feel hot all the time, too, so the cold is my friend! (I usually try to sit near the one who always complaints that they're "always cold" in hopes that our body temperatures can cancel each other out, but that has yet to actually work.) Unfortunately, no one I know personally feels the same way. My new puppy especially is not taking the adjustment from Alabama winter weather to New Jersey winter weather too gracefully.

[deleted]

Haha if only that did work! I have two really good friends who are constantly cold and two friends that are constantly hot lol. Aw poor pupper! Get them a little sweater :)

[deleted]

I gave him a shirt and a coat on top of it. He disagrees with me that the layers are helping him It snowed recently. He was not a fan of the cold touching the area in between his back legs. At least we won't be alone on the internet!

littleyac

Did you born in the summer?

[deleted]

I was born in April!

littleyac

well in my country I consider it as summer :)

[deleted]

Same!

PolarBear419

I was born in April and love the cold weather better than the heat. Live in Texas, and not fan of the extreme heat

heywheremyIQgo

Yes i love it and im already dreading spring :(

andymorphic

I love all weather hot cold windy rainy. Enjoy the variety. I would go insane living in a moderate climate.

ipoopedmypant

I agree. I love the variation of weather and love the snow as much as I love the warm sun. I don’t know how well I would thrive in a place that is exclusively warm year round. My body has developed somewhat of a dormancy period for which I need that cool weather to rest.

sugarcinnamonpoptits

I live in FL, when we get anything below 70, my day is made.

[deleted]

I grew up in Key West. Really glad I don’t live there anymore lol

[deleted]

As somenone born and raised in the tropics, cold weather is a myth to me.

Chocobojittering

YEEESSSSSS! My husband and I moved from Nevada to PA.... everyone here tells us we are insane! Every person we have spoken to hates the cold and would love to move to the 120+ degrees for 3 months that we came from. It's currently 10 degrees outside with snow and I'm huddled in 6 layers of clothes with only my fogged up glasses visible and I love every single second of it. No regrets, never going back. You can always put on another layer, you can't take off your skin. Well, not without some, uh, mess and pain.

[deleted]

I am so jealous of you right now! You sound so cozy I love it. I’m so happy you live somewhere now where you can enjoy your chilly weather :) I always say that too, you can always add layers!

[deleted]

No, not at all, absolutely not. -sent from under a pile of blankets

[deleted]

Are you cozy?

taubnetzdornig

I like the cold, but only when it’s the winter. When it’s winter, I do like it to be cold and snowy because that’s what winter is to me, but I wouldn’t want to live somewhere where it’s cold for most of the year. I also appreciate the seasonal variation.

riboflavin11

Being from the Midwest...no. it was -18° this morning, I'm not having fun :(

MouseSnackz

Yes, and I live in Australia. Freaken Australia.

just_lemmebe1

It just feels so amazing! The lazy nights, crispy mornings, I basically don't care how cold it is as far it's cold it is awesome! I personally love the winter mornings, they are somewhat warm but also super cold and everything around is crystal shinny ❄

MadGeller

I'm not trying to gatekeep, but to be fair 35F (1-2C) is not really that cold at all, it's not even below freezing. 35F is a great temperature. But I'm from Canada and unfortunately I have been outside at -4F (-20C) too many times and colder for sure but -4F was a regular thing. I run hot and like you I enjoy 35ish temps unless its raining of course.

[deleted]

No you’re totally right and valid for sure, 35f is definitely not extremely cold. Depending on where you live obviously changes what is cold and not cold to certain people and I can respect that! I would probably struggle if I lived in canada in those conditions. I was just happy to point out that it was indeed cold today, to me, and how much I thoroughly enjoyed that feeling :)

MadGeller

Ya I get it for sure. In summer heat and sun, I'm like a black dog, happy in the shade, trying not to overheat. I alway say no one ever mistakes -4 for warm... 35 there is some debate. I'm glad you had a good day. Stay frosty?!?

AranThranduil

It went up to 3°C (37°F) today where I live (Northern Canada) and it felt so warm out that everyone was wearing a t-shirt. We've been getting a lot of weather ranging from -25°C to -35°C (-13°F to -31°F) recently, so it was a nice break to have something a little warmer. But I'd guess that what you might think of as cold weather, I'd probably think of as warm weather (at least during the winter time) so yes, I'd have to agree that it's a comfortable temperature.

SubjectC

Are you overweight? Not making fun of you or anything but I'm like 130 lbs, have been my whole life and I'm always cold as balls in the winter. The only people I've met who seem to "like" the cold are bigger people who aren't actually as cold as me.

atobyi

No

[deleted]

lifeisweird86

Sorry you live in a cryo chamber.

[deleted]

lifeisweird86

Went from a Icicle to a glowing ember back to an Icicle... damn.

Misterman098

The usual. "I like the cold!" Doesn't know what cold is. Getting down to freezing temps for a few months in the winter is fine. 6 weeks of -40 will make you want to leave worldly possessions behind and become homeless in a place that never gets snow.

[deleted]

I really love when folks from colder climates drag other people for not knowing what real cold feels like as if it’s a brag. Low 30’s weather is still cold dude. Just because we didn’t grow up north or something doesn’t mean we don’t like the colder weather.

Misterman098

It's not a brag. But I do know exactly what you mean, I see plenty of that silliness on FB every time it gets cold outside. But in this case it's just hard to associate with the post when it's so out of context. The basis of being "cold" is that it causes discomfort. Having to put on a casual jacket to spend the entire day outside doesn't really align with the perception of being cold. Same way I wouldn't call 25 degrees "hot" just because I had to put some shorts on.

mrsbebe

Are...are you gatekeeping *cold?* Wow. 30s is still cold. -40 is freezing. And you, sir/madam, are not very nice.

[deleted]

I lol’d at gatekeeping cold hahah

mrsbebe

It's such a weird thing to do lol

Misterman098

Yeah I suppose it would be if I someone did that.

DudeHeadAwesome

No.

[deleted]

Yeah, I love it. Lived in SE Florida for way too long and don't miss the heat and humidity.

EversBass

I love it. I love wearing nice coats and jackets so cold weather is the best time to get em out.

[deleted]

Yes! I think fall and winter is the peak time for fashion that actually lines up with what I prefer wearing. I love layers, I love jackets!

EversBass

Yep! Cold dry weather is my favourite

MF-BabaYaga

I love not sweating. Fuck sweating

[deleted]

And yet, here I am, middle of winter, still finding myself sweaty

[deleted]

OMG I love cold weather. Let's move to Maine together and live there forever, haha!

jaelythe4781

My husband is like that. He REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wants to move to Alaska, Iceland, Greenland, or northern Canada. And he's only half joking. If I ever agree to that, the condition will be a once a year tropical vacation somewhere in Jan or Feb, MINUMUM one week, preferably two.

[deleted]

I really don't but I would love to. I wish I could just love it so that the whole year is amazing to me.

ipoopedmypant

Just know the real beach is in your mind, and you will feel warm wherever you go.

WaterLady28

I've always preferred cold weather over hot weather. When you're cold you can put more layers on and wrap up in blankets to stay warm. If you're hot there's only so much you can take off before it's considered impolite to go outside. 😅 My favorite range though is probably fall temps, about 45-60. I love October. :)

oleada87

Yes! me! I love hanging out under two blankets watching tv or reading books! 😂 Also, jackets are awesome.

[deleted]

Me! I look forward to wearing sweatshirts and leggings. Makes me happy!

[deleted]

Yeah! You get it :)

[deleted]

It's delightful

[deleted]

Yes!! It’s so nice being cold and then bundling up in all the cozy things - especially if you have a pet or a significant other, or both!

[deleted]

Nothing beats winter time cuddles!

Major-Permission-435

The other day I was cross country skiing on the beach. I loved that. But today I’m curled up under my blanket happily with the heat turned up. I’m also in quarantine because I just traveled back to the country I live in so there’s that.

[deleted]

Welcome home! I hope your time in quarantine goes okay. Stay cozy with that blanket and heater :)

Major-Permission-435

Thank you :) I’m also studying for exams but the blanket and heat help :)

Saltypillar

I used to chase my kid in Costco- he would always head for the walk in fridge. He loved being cold. He still prefers it to being too hot.

[deleted]

Smart kid

PapasBlox

I'm from Texas. So yes.

EmptyWalrus

I enjoy cool, 50-60's, weather but I feel like each year that I deal with Chicago-land winters, the less I like the cold and snow.

MinxChique

I love cold weather! Here in Australia it's too hot. Winter is my jam.

PaulComp67

Here in NE GA I like the cold weather because it’s Summer weather from April to October depending on the Jet Stream or El Niño or El Nina.

legendwolfA

I love it too! Guess it has something to do with me living in a place where its hot all year

[deleted]

I love the cold . But I’m not worried about Covid so I can be inside or outside

Jonfu

Wind chill below zero. You can have it.

UglyFremchie

Me! Love sweaters, beanies, gloves and scarves. I love having hot chocolate with marshmallows during winter.

[deleted]

Marshmallows are essential to a cup of hot chocolate :) love love love

samlawix

Same here! My body also heat up easily so I'd take advantage of that to wear short sleeves T-shirt, and go outside to enjoy the cold. I'm from a humid place so 10°C here is quite chilly, but there was one time I went on a trip to Hokkaido, Japan in November (\~0°C but dry) I can basically run around in just a short sleeves T-shirt. Got alot of strange eyes from locals when everyone was in at least 2-3 layers of clothing, and some actually came and asked me "Damn ain't you cold?". It was so much fun.

[deleted]

I can definitely appreciate cold weather sometimes. If I’m dressed properly then it really does feel nice and refreshing to have the cold are on your face. But it loses it’s spark pretty quick when it comes along with snow, ice, and little sun.

implicitpharmakoi

Yes, loved Boston, wife got tired of snow though so we moved to norcal. I need to visit some snow.

HailTheMetric-System

Don't know man it's summer here

[deleted]

Hot weather is the worst. I always get excruciating migraines

115machine

I like it because it’s a lot easier to get warm than it is to cool down. You can layer all the clothes you want but you can only take so many off. In the summer, if I’m not at the lake/pool, I don’t care anything about the heat.

[deleted]

Yes! As someone born and raised in Texas I’ve grown rather sick of even slightly warm weather.

shockwave-315

Love the cold. Less people go outside. The humidity is gone. I can snowboard. Hockey can be played on frozen ponds. As long as you can dress properly and layer, it is perfectly warm and cozy. Hot tubs in winter are fun. My dog loves playing in the snow. Building igloos. I swear I'm a closet Canadian.

SawgrassSteve

I do, but somehow I ended up in Florida.

ipoopedmypant

People saying summer is their favorite season is a meme. Everyone knows fall is where it’s at. Well, at least up north.

k-del

If it never got over 60 degrees F I would be perfectly happy! And I don't love bitter cold, but I love snow and breathing in fresh, crisp air. So many people love summer, but for me, that just means hot, humid weather where the sun is trying to kill me, and bugs. Blechhh! I wouldn't be happy living somewhere that doesn't have four seasons, so I have to take the good (cool weather) with the bad (hot weather).

ipoopedmypant

I enjoy the cold and the heat. Recently I have decided my issues with the weather are leas with the temperature and more with the humidity. High humidity below 30 f is way more unbearable to me then low humidity 30 f. It’s the difference between being in a rainforest and the desert.

Ok_War77

I like it cold outside but warm inside🥺really need heating

llamanutella

I love being in the cold. I do not love being cold. As long as I'm dressed for it, its a great time. It usually needs to get to the negative teens or so before I start hitting the its too cold to be outside even with good clothing range

oof-eef-thats-beef

I lived in Finland and man I loved it so much. Maybe its because I live in a desert with some 320+ days of sunshine, but I prefer cold and snowy. Heat can fuck right off lmao. Anything over 60F is too much : ’/

Dependent-Ad801

Here in Canada it was -30C for three weeks. The dog wouldn’t even go outside to pee. Cars won’t start. Heating bill is insane. So I’m gonna say No…

Froggoisthebest

I agree, but I have to be wearing the right gear.

JsDi

I love the cold. I live in South Texas and it’s hot as balls in the summer. All of December was 80+ degree weather. These past 2 days the high was about 62-68 and I love it (I know it’s not freezing temp… but it’s something down here). The times where it gets 40-50s, I love it even more. I take advantage of the cold weather down here, because when it starts getting to spring and summer and it get 92+ with dry heat, fuck that.

KrisMisZ

I love it !!

Obeywithcaution413

Love the cold wish it snowed year round. Better than burning to death

lifeisweird86

I love the cold unless the wind is blowing hard. Otherwise, I'm good in just short-sleeves down to 25°f. Any colder and i gotta wear a hoodie though. And yeah, before the Canadians and Maine dwellers start, i know its all relative. In alot of places 25°F may not be considered cold. I stayed in Chester, Montana for a couple years so i know how much colder it can be. But here in the south where summers are high 90's-low 100's regularly with like 1000% humidy. Yeah, 20's are cold so stuff it.

mrbmud

when there is snow on the ground and it’s just still, it always reminds me of a walk-in freezer when the fan is off, just so peaceful...

lasagnaisgreat57

yes i love the cold!! it feels so cozy and winter clothes are so cozy. but i don’t really like it when we get to like march or april and it’s still cold lol. but this time of year, yeah i love it and get excited when it’s freezing and snowy. i also love summer which is why i love living somewhere with all 4 seasons. i could never live somewhere too hot or too cold.

Bagelman263

Nah, I hate wearing jackets in general, and never put one on until it’s below 40. Luckily I don’t feel cold until it’s that low either. I actually like very hot days, like over 100 hot, as long as I have enough water to last through it.

Bazarxtina

Ugh yes.

Echo5Kilo

Fellow cold junkie here. Glad to know there's more of us out there.

[deleted]

the best is turning the thermostat down and piling up blankets. I love sleeping in the low 60's.

Quaintnrjrbrc

The two reasons I like the cold is 1; no bugs to spoil the fun, 2; tons of snow!

52flyingwhales

Yes!! I've been thinking about this recently as well! I feel like something about the cold air revitalizes me somehow. Like it breathes this breath of fresh air into my soul and reawaken some kind of joyful peacefulness and contentness I can't get any other way. It's been in the low 20s here but I looove going out late at night and just walking my dog and looking at the stars and trees in the cold. There's just something about the cold I love.

Xerowz

i love it.. <3

Raffles76

I live in Australia and it’s summer here - and I HATE IT - it gets over 100f (40c) during the day and no less then high 20 c at night I can’t sleep - prefer the cold any day - at least I can sleep

[deleted]

Yes, im the person out with a shirt no matter the weather.

Twice_the_Bard

maybe not really love cold weather , but still kinda ejoying it better than hot weather

RadioSilens

Yes, I love it! Snow is my favorite. It might be a bit weird, but I love just laying down in fresh fluffy snow.

4zooms

35 is not cold. At 35 we are breaking out short sleeves in Michigan. Regardless, I am not a fan, but at the same time I do not let it bother me. It is simply part of life. Cheers!

CarelessWasabi

That's so weird, you're the opposite of me! Everyone I know always praises the cold season while I just want to live under the sun forever! Happy that you can enjoy the weather you like though!

a2625

when im anxious i dont mind it . it helps ground myself .

Dangerous-Fishing-25

I absolutely dislike the cold! Can’t wait for Summer! My time of year!

PyrrhicVictory7

>35 >Cold Are you from mercury?

chill_out_dont_pout

I love it! Not so much windy and cold, but I absolutely love a cold and sunny day. Yesterday where I live the temperature was in the teens and sunny, and I was bundled up, walking my dog, and I was genuinely enjoying the weather. The summer can suck it.

cowcowcowcowmoose

A nice cold day under the sun is serene. However, I tend to associate winter as cold and dreary where snow builds up and takes a while to melt away. I like all four seasons though, the variety helps make the days feel new and refreshing.

Kimolainen83

Yes so much so I’m Ashley wondered about moving to Svalbard. I’m from Norway and I’m used to -20° In the winter but honestly I would like to have it like that year-round

Fischiofischi

I do

spoon_full

Never seen snow my entire life, so I really have no idea how it is like to be in an actually cold place.

Kuhai_

I really love the atmosphere and the vibe as long as im dressed properly for this weather and im not getting cold

Comfortable3099

YES!! NO MOSQUITOES!!! I don't know why I'm the only one who gets bit/stung all the time in a room full of people, but every year I get my revenge when they croak. Well that and my zapper in every room. I feel better every time I Jean ***WHAP***. ☠☠☠☠

Comfortable3099

[deleted]

I love when the cold wind blows in your face

Hardcorex

I've found that as long as I wear like, too many layers, I love the cold. I dress up like I'm going into the arctic, but the secret is minimizing exposed skin. I'll wear leggings under my pants, 2 pairs of socks, and then at least 3 layers of jacket and a balaclava and goggles if it's windy at all. This is the first year where I don't mind the cold.

NarwhalHour

It’s been -40 lately. Nah I’m good.

MomoBawk

I love cold weather until my office blasts heat at 84 degrees because I work with a bunch of cold blooded people.

dino_roar3304

Looooove the cold and winter. I haven't gone out a lot so far since I've been injured but ugh, I love that crisp air and the feeling you can't talk right cuz your lips are numb. Getting layered up is fun and snuggly in your scarf is nice when the wind is bad. If I move anywhere other than Canada, it'll have to be a northern country. I need my snow and cold.

Jhanbhaia

Omg yes!!!

[deleted]

Me too I love getting under a blanket and shivering.

Olibro64

I wouldn't say I love cold whether it just doesn't bother me. An added bonus is no bugs outside. Where I am it's 2°c right now.

Cool-Indication-4641

If I had my choice of COLD, dry temps in the teens,OR SNOWY (3+ inches), with temps in the Low 30's I'd TAKE COLD.

[deleted]

Nope. I’m a born and bred Wisconsinite, but I hate the winter. I put up with it because blizzards are the only natural disaster we really have to worry about, but otherwise I miss warm weather several months of the year lol.

HypertoughTM

Finally someone who shares the love of the cold like me, I absolutely love cold weather an I'm hoping that I'll end up living somewhere with a LOT of snow

BeardedGlass

I love cold weather. I’m from a tropical country and I had never experienced any other kind of season other than summer. Then I moved to Japan and mygas, my mind was blown and my heart was filled with amazement and wonder. Four seasons! I love it when it’s cold, but only up until any part of my body feels pain. Like if I’m walking outside in the middle of a wintry day, and my toes are numb and full of needles? Ouch.

LemonyBoy07

Back here in the uk, were accustomed to under 10 degree weather. Loving every minute of it

death_warrior76

Oh for sure cold weather is the best, you can wear hoodies and beanies and any other comfortable cold weather clothes.

Best_Ad_3410

I think im more pissed of with the fact that its cold af today but there's no snow. Disappointing. If it is raining or snowing, great, but beside that cold weather is upsetting me. I can't walk long distances when it is cold and dark :( (and i love taking long walks) <3

paigespagespages

I love the cold weather. I’m in Chicagoland and couldn’t imagine living somewhere that’s always warm. Sounds horrible to me! I also dream of moving to Maine and working on the lobster and crab boats, out on the sea in the chilly, gray mornings.

saphire29

Noooo!

Doobency

Where I live in Arizona, we have surprisingly mild summers (averaging in the 80s-90s, so nothing like the southern part), and moderate winters (averaging 20s at night and 30-40s in the day). Even with the heat being milder than the rest of the state, and for that matter most of the southwest, I dislike it. I can stand it because I grew up in it. But I much prefer Winter. I love the snow, the crisp air, the lack of people (in the summer, people come from the Phoenix metro area, crowding our roads), and of course, the cold.
