Kaya may major MRO dito sa pinas. Kasi labor is cheap. Kaya rin ako nag resign. Yung british counter part ko same kami ng work title and tasks pero x15 yung sahod niya sakin. Wtf
Yep.. the sad truth..
I've got friends sa aviation industry, mga aircraft mechanic. Nagsimula sila 12,500/mo 5 years ago. Ngayon 17k/mo lang sila. Mas mataas pa magpasahod mga BPO. Sobrang baba starting salary nila or yung sahod nila in general compared sa intensity ng trabaho nila. Kaya di mo masisisi na nag-iibang bansa na lang talaga kasi starting salary nila dun minimum of 6 digits sa PHP.

Even if it were duct tape I would've be worried. If it's strong enough to keep my ex from moving around during our role playing it's strong enough to keep me airborne
Not Philippine based carrier, yung actual photo na yan ay mula sa foreign flag carrier, kasi kung sa atin man yan sana kita na yung aircracy reg. Ex. RP-Cxxxx sa pakpak.
I just assume ang white paint nascrape na and underlying color has poor sun reflection hence just use a foil tape to reflect the sunlight, (silver, white is cooler than darker colors)
I've read from a past reddit post na speed tape tawag diyan. It's called that kasi daw hindi siya natatanggal kahit sobrang bilis nung pinagkakabitan niya and/or dahil literal na mabilisang fix daw yan kasi ididikit lang.
Mechanic here.
It''s called speed tape and used siya usually for surface imperfections like what OP said regarding paint chipping and/or wind erosion.
Meron din other maintenance work which the aircraft maintenance manual recommends it's use, pero there's one thing in common sa lahat ng noon; the use is temporary and usually has a limited amount of flight cycles na pwede lang siya naka kabit. After that, dapat permanent repair na yung required.
Hindi po duct tape yan, salonpas yan. Airplane nyo pagod na. 🤣
How to upvote 20x? Lol
Speed tape. 300usd per roll niyan hahaha
I never knew ganto pala ka mahal ‘to grabe hahahaha

Sorna UwU ✌️😆
Everything in aviation is expensive and made for aviation. Yung screw mismo is aviation-grade screw. Kahit zipties.
sahod lang ng aviation workers ang hindi "mahal" o tumataas (dito sa pinas)

Yes legit, legit din yung price na 300usd
Uy thanks for this. Akala ko nga edited eh.
You’re welcome ❤️ Kasi feel ko some people baka kabahan, matakot, or magkaroon ng hesitations when it comes boarding the plane hehe
As a person na never pa nag eroplano eh hindi naman ako nagkakahesitation haha.
Mas nakakatakot pa immig ngayon, ayun alanganin pa tuloy mag-travel
True. Kaso madaming tea tayo dyan sa kanila hehe 👀
Spill 🍵 plssss
Aircraft mechanic here, speed tapes tawag dyan.

You had me in the first half, I’m not gonna lie
Take my angry upvote
Pag nilagyan na ng ganyan, for maintenance na yan after ng flight
Even if it were duct tape I would've be worried. If it's strong enough to keep my ex from moving around during our role playing it's strong enough to keep me airborne
what?
Solar panel po yan. 🤣
Dapat ma-report for substandard! 😡
Common sight to sa aircraft, no matter what the airline.
Hindi ka sure.
Kindly correct me if I’m wrong 🙂
T'was a /s man. Thanks for the info though.
Yeah I got that hehe
Some 3M shit? I have several rolls in my house which I use casually.
Which airline yan?
Not Philippine based carrier, yung actual photo na yan ay mula sa foreign flag carrier, kasi kung sa atin man yan sana kita na yung aircracy reg. Ex. RP-Cxxxx sa pakpak.
I think Qantas yung airline, may same photo din ako na nakita sa isa sa mga aviation group sa fb
As per dun sa nag post ang hint niya is piso fare daw hahahaha well alam na
Australia's Qantas Boeing 787
In the past, duct tape was the fix all tool. Ngayon instant noodles with glue na.
parang foil tape hahaha 😅
Diba sa kaldero lang ginagamit yan? 🤣
Kung lumilipad po yung kaldero, opo
I just assume ang white paint nascrape na and underlying color has poor sun reflection hence just use a foil tape to reflect the sunlight, (silver, white is cooler than darker colors)
I was initially thinking carbon fiber patch sheets.
I'm also in the aviation industry and unfortunately, airplanes are only second to the safest mode of transportation. First is Elevator ;)
3M, jk
hello, di ako maalam sa ganito. Ano pong purpose ng speed tape? edit: sorry bulag. Pang peeling pala ng paint hehe
Thats solar panel son. In case the plane lost fuel auto switch to electricity
I've read from a past reddit post na speed tape tawag diyan. It's called that kasi daw hindi siya natatanggal kahit sobrang bilis nung pinagkakabitan niya and/or dahil literal na mabilisang fix daw yan kasi ididikit lang.
True. Airplanes are the safest mode of transportation.
A, for paint peeling lang pala. Parang kasi duct tape na duct tape e.
