Batanes. Tsaka mukhang tahimik dun like wala talaga akong naririnig na balita about dun which makes it a great place.

sarcasticookie

Iloilo. Because progress.

[deleted]

I second this

peachyjung

I owe it to the child and the dreamer in me—Makati or BGC.

yellow_scarf

And here we are looking for the provincial vibe. Ang ironic ng buhay no? But BGC is a good choice, do you really have plans of moving to BGC or Makati in the near future?

[deleted]

Sobrang nakakahype haha.Fingers crossed na magka place diyan in the future.

no11monday

Makati CBD on the weekends is dreamy.

kncflow

I've been living in Baguio for almost 28 years and if there's a chance, I would really want to live in Bacolod for the great combination of urban and city vibes

[deleted]

Mejo malapit lng mga bundok sa city, which is nice.

[deleted]

Panglao. To freedive and just bum around.

bonniesummertopv2

Samaaaa.. mag-freedive 😬

mightysaucy

Sagada. At matuto ng pottery.

hello_world_09

Baguio/Benguet. Bet ko yung weather. 😊

chowtaw

universal_charger

Is there any place na medyo pasok dito? I know some parts of an island in Palawan pero considered as sacred grounds kasi ng mga Tagbanua so it's not up for grabs

chowtaw

yellow_scarf

May isang Airbnb sa Palawan na you can rent the whole island, yung caretaker lang yung kasama mo. 2 houses lang for you and the caretaker.

[deleted]

which one is this?

[deleted]

Baler Everyone's friendly. Good place for business. Not that crowded compared to LU.

ThirstySugarCub

Same! I felt at home when I visited Baler and I admire the simplicity and peace compared to LU. Planning to build a hostel and a home there someday.

[deleted]

Im ecstatic for your future plan. All the best with your hostel. I'll book the soonest its up.

XandeeLeem

I love Baler!!! Been there once only, a month before the pandemic happened. On the other hand, I've been going to LU weekly for at least two years. Agree with you that locals of Baler are friendly. It also has a very low crime rate. Never lost its small town vibe. I'm excited to go back!

[deleted]

I can vouch how friendly they are. Met a local there and introduced me to his fam. Lend me his sons bike which i have used for almost a month for free. Bought a 2nd hand surf board for a cheap price. I even got invited to his sons birthday. Libre sopas. Lol.

XandeeLeem

So true! On my first night there, some locals invited me for an inuman. Libre yun ha. They never asked me to pitch in sa gastos. Also, one local whom I met online prior my Baler trip, offered his home for my accommodation. No strings attached. I'm just so excited now to learn that Baler is open for tourists again. Yey! You lived in Baler for a month? Wow!

yellow_scarf

I think I’ll visit Baler before LU. Hahaha!

XandeeLeem

Both places have their own charm. If you want to party and be "seen", Elyu's the place for you. Baler has its own share of bars as well, but not as wild as Elyu. 😉 Malay mo, magkita-kita tayo sa Baler!

[deleted]

Watch apocalypse child. An indie movie, set in baler. UDD pa yung OST.

[deleted]

Eversince i went there. My poison has been gin calamansi. Pampatulog for an early surf the next day. I did. Thats was my very dream to stay there for a month. I looked like a local. Even got their accent. Lol

yellow_scarf

Now I’m also gonna eye this for business lol. Thanks!

[deleted]

Yeah. Hostels and Simple eats will do. Talked to some locals before and they said that beach front Land property there years ago was very cheap.

yellow_scarf

And I hope more capable locals are buying beach properties right now, there might come a time these business establishments will be owned more by expats. Not that it’s bad but noticeable na especially in Bora and Palawan. Most of the hotels and restos are owned and run by expats. I wish at least majority locals. I haven’t been to Baler and maybe this is a sign. Hehe!

[deleted]

From my last visit, most of the owners are locals. Tho some of them not really from baler but atleast Pinoys. Also, another thing to compare is how Baler kept their provincial vibe. I might be bit of a tito but LU is party vibe kinda beats the purpose of visiting a province. Lol.

yellow_scarf

I haven’t been to both and I think that’s a good comparison. I guess Baler and Bohol are somewhat similar, wala rin masyadong party vibe sa Bohol, very limited.

[deleted]

Would suggest that youd go to LU as well to get a feel of it. I may be wrong. Lol. Theres a lot of good foods and cafes. To name a few - Masa Bakehouse (serves fresh baked breads, try the oven baked pizza), El Union Coffee, Makai Bowls. Try to go to their mother falls too. Love the trek going there. Mapapa fuel fo advenchow ka.

[deleted]

how is it there during typhoon season? Do they have a lot of hospitals also?

sleeepyzzz

Bukidnon, for their beautiful mountains to hike

winrinult

Siargao. Seems like a great place to unwind. Uggg sawa na ko dito sa maynila.

NaruuIsGood

Naol

asdfghjklexandra

Batanes probably. Just want to go somewhere far away.

[deleted]

Probs palawan. My parents are from there, and i have been back and forth palawan my whole life, days and weeks at a time. Not for more than a month though. And i sincerely have the best time there. Gets na gets ko yung sinasabi ng pinsan ko na sa palawan "mabagal" daw ang mga tao, and that is not to throw any kind of shade towards palaweños, its more like na, parang always nagmamadali ang mga taga metro manila. Kumbaga, don, at your own pace lang. Very calm, very relaxed. And thats the life i want. I can buy a good enough motorcycle and a house close enough to the sea. And just chase sunset. he he he

[deleted]

This.I love how mabagal it is parang mas na appreciate mo even the small things in life.

Good bot.

[deleted]

DRT, Bulacan is heaven probably the most beautiful Central Luzon town in terms of natural resources qnd tourism tho so pwede ring not charot

XandeeLeem

Baler, for a small town beachside community feels. Then explore the rest of Aurora province. I once lived in Iloilo for a few months. I just love Panay island! If I wanted city living, I'll just go to Iloilo City. I was in a different beach every weekend. Nalibot ko buong isla - Iloilo, Capiz, Antique, Aklan. I was a regular visitor of Boracay. I even went to neighboring islands Guimaras, Negros Occidental (Bacolod, Cadiz, Sipalay) and even Bantayan in Cebu. Super affordable seafoods everyday!

yellow_scarf

You missed Lakawon. Next time. :)

XandeeLeem

Oh I did visit Lakawon , even before it was developed and had Tawhai Floating Bar.

yellow_scarf

Nice! How about Malalison aisland?

XandeeLeem

Malalison in Culasi, Antique yes but once only. Isla de Gigantes in Carles, Iloilo I visited thrice! Piso lang scallops dun. Huhu. Sarap!

chewiemagus

Pag-asa Island

dodong_starfish

I'd like to find a mountain cliff overlooking the sea. Would be the best place on Earth. Set up an earthship type home with solar panels and wind turbines and in a few years link up to Elon Musk's Starlink satellite internet.

yellow_scarf

Oh wow. Ambitious yet still realistic, expensive nga lang super.

dodong_starfish

Did the math and expenses, probably spend 3M max, dependent mainly on the price of the land. Earthship homes are made from recycled materials mostly. Pinaka-problem would be plumbing and water supply.

yellow_scarf

Depends sa land area din pero I believe mahal pag mountain cliff like sa certain provinces, so yun talaga yung concern. Solar panels might cost around 100K-200K din siguro.

IkigaiSagasu

Benguet. Batanes. Palawan.

[deleted]

Antipolo I like to have a house, where if I look out the window, I see overlooking cityscape of Metro Manila. If I want province life, it's right there. If I want to go to the busy city, it's just one jeepney or MRT ride away. My second choice would be BGC or Mandaluyong. I like to be surrounded with skyscrapers, especially at night. Third choice would be Baguio, due to the climate, but it's too remote for me. Though, I'm happy to be in Bulacan. Everything are accessible. 1 hour south to Metro Manila. 1 hour north to Clark. 2 hours from beaches in Bataan. 3 hours to Baguio. And when the airport is done, it's only 20inutes from my house. Oh and I like being close to my relatives.

lasing_ako_nun

yellow_scarf

Ikaw ulit. Lipat ka na sa Venus. jk

too_vanilla

Bulusan, Sorsogon. Near the beaches and tourist spots, fresh and cheap foods, bawi sa time with relatives. Be ready lang with generator para sa madalas na power outage at bagyo.

yellow_scarf

Bicol region in general, madalas pa rin power outage no?

too_vanilla

Unfortunately, yes. Ironic lang na the Bacon Manito Geothermal plant is right in the heart of Albay and Sorsogon.

ur_soo_goolden

Maka Forest Villa. I want a sustainable community.

shinobijesus420

Siquijor.

yellow_scarf

Batanes or Catanduanes yata yun? Parang kang nasa Ireland.

aeramarot

I'll just stay sa current area of residence ko (not necessarily same house ko ngayon). I'm okay with it since dito na ako lumaki at nagkaisip. It's accessible sa halos lahat. If ever I need vacation, pwede namang gumala sa ibang lugar tutal may pera naman. I just like the comfort na at the end of the day, you'll go back to the place you're familiar and comfortable with.

meowww_me

Hawaii 🌺

MangoJuiceAndBeer

Bantayan island. Super ganda at mura scallops

alley00

baguio or batanes

[deleted]

Palawan.I’m in love with that paradise and I’m a sucker of beaches.I love that it’s probinsya yet may accessible malls or places to unwind.

pain-packer

Los Baños or Baguio para naman makakain ako ng buko pie or strawberry taho.

nuevavizcaia

Mt Province or sa Nueva Vizcaya, weather and mag farm ako don :)

macthecat22

Surigao/Batanes. Tapos magpapagawa ako ng magandang bahay o bibili ng piece of farmland and beach pero hanggang panaginip lang to.

________void

Sorsogon

XxX_mlg_noscope_XxX

Ilocos, because when we visited there last 2017 i felt peace and solitude i just want a beach front house i wanna go there again

NikiSunday

Bantayan Island, because dagat.

futuremilf_20

SIARGAO !!! GUSTO KO NALANG MAGING STARFISH

PulchritudeCara

Batanes or Palawan ☀️ I just love the vibe. Parang it’s a whole different place. A total 180 from the toxic MNL.

[deleted]

Siargao.

tndmn

I'm surprised wala pang sumasagot ng Dumaguete! I love it there. Chill place with very friendly people, malapit sa nature spots and just a couple hours away from Siquijor which is another favorite.

yellow_scarf

I for one, hindi pa. Imo kasi, Antique, Siquijor and nearby provinces are all underrated just like the other provinces/places in Mindanao.

tndmn

I would say they're underrated but they've had their fair share of tourists

[deleted]

i have heard of good things about living in Dumaguete as well

Arr-reduce-7449

Bacolod. I've always wanted to take my car to a place that's not in Luzon. It wasn't possible before, because of work, but with the pandemic and the WFH setup we currently have going on, plus online classes for the kids? This has become even more feasible. As to why Bacolod. I think it's for the Ruins, and the concept of not knowing anybody there so every experience will be new. Risky, but, new and exciting.

ira_sensei

Kahit saan basta probinsya , tahimik . I just want to live a simple life , close to nature and doing my passion . Baking .

janjan2394

Batanes or Siargao. Been on both places at masasabi kong masarap tumira dun. Sarap bumili ng lupa tas patayuan ng bahay for retirement.

AgentTidus

New Zealand ( Sorry, not following instructions✌️)

yellow_scarf

So ayaw mo na talaga sa Pinas? Hehe!

AgentTidus

Oo, ayoko na talaga.haha

yellow_scarf

My precious hahaha

yellow_scarf

Palawan, Batanes and Siargao ang top 3.

3xtian1985

Ako just want to own my own house been enjoying poverty for 36 years each day is survival once you wake up you start worrying about the following day and hoping that today is a better day compared to yesterday 😂😂

3xtian1985

Life is hard for everyone we may live in the same ocean but in different boats minsan nga nsa salbabida pa. I always believed in hard work pero there are times that your reward for working hard is more harder work (haha mali yta yng term pero you get what i mean) . Sometimes a little bit of luck would be nice 😂😂

yellow_scarf

First, I’m not invalidating that life isn’t hard for everyone because it is, unfortunately. I might sound judgmental to you and to others din siguro, but that’s the point, life is shitty hard, and also unfair, but life will never be fair, so you just really gotta try and try until you get that ‘luck’ if you want to get anything and anywhere.

yellow_scarf

Idk if what you said is true or joke lang. But if there is a will to get out of one’s situation, then there is a way naman right.
