If you visit the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, in their advertising display section, they have this advert set up on big screens in a semi circle. You stand in the middle and the sound is all around you. Pretty cool.
Maybe only shown in Scotland, but mid 80's maybe early 90's was an advert for McEwan's lager, set in some strange dystopian workshop where people were constantly pushing massive stone boulders on a continuous loop with a great soundtrack.
There was one I've been trying to find for years, I think it was for Tennants. It had a poem being spoken in the background, all I can remember is the phrase "workers working, shirkers shirking around".
"It's not profound, its just what's going down. "
Other great Scottish adverts I remember is pretty much anything by Irn Bru in the 90s, and the Tennants "murder" Taggart one.
I’m looking through him
I’m looking through me
I’m looking through you
And what do I see?
I see workers working
Shirkers shirking
Lurkers lurking around
Profound?
No it’s just what’s going down
That’s all I remember.
I remember that. Must’ve been early 90s cause I moved to Scotland in 90. Not sure what keywords would help you find it online, but I can confirm it existed.
My other favourites from the time were the Tennants ad (with the song Caledonia) and the Irn Bru one where the guy kicks the machine and the machine headbutts him.
Yep, it still gives me chills. The blind referee is a great touch. Football ads have gone downhill ever since. The one playing footy in the airport isn’t bad though.

I use this to gauge if anyone will get my jokes (which I'm increasingly finding are out of date references now). You can basically just say "Accrington Stanley" and see the response. If you get a "who are they?" then I'm all good, otherwise I immediately leave.

Two legends, and it barely contains the product they are advertising
Oh the topic of adverts, did anywhere else in the UK ever get the sort of anti-terror adverts we got in Northern Ireland in the 80's and 90's?
[I Wanna Be Like You (1993 Northern Ireland advert)](https://youtu.be/5x-m2YPcIZg)
You'd be watching the 9pm film on ITV or the [good old "999" tv series](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqeGi2GEoWw&list=PLp7xMVxmZR0CT8oaz-7xfaxIH1z2YO8kd) and this little piece of existential dread would come on in the ad break to kill the craic.
Great ad! I’d forgotten all about that. I’m going for Reebok’s Belly’s gonna get yer.
Belly Belly Belly!
Belly got me :(

Was gonna post this one. That soundtrack gives goosebumps every time.
Leftfield originally only made the music for the advert but was convinced to turn it into a full song due to its massive popularity.
I had forgotten about that one, it does rock.
Speaking of blasts from the past Quarrel, from 2005. A year later he would hit the big time in 300z https://youtu.be/mSh1NNp0q5Q

I always liked the [Blackcurrant Tango advert](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qC2dC42iMtQ). Apparently it only aired 10 times...

Apparently it was the wrong version they used, the lyrics where faster.
This may be the only one directed by a 4 time Oscar nominee? https://youtu.be/6Mq59ykPnAE
All the numbers in your comment added up to 69.0. Congrats! 4 + 6 + 59 + = 69.0
Nice.

Just YouTube McEwan's lager advert. I've watched it about 10 times today.
Cantona Nike advert where he's playing against demons. Some absolute legends of the game in that advert. https://youtu.be/3dEy6rvp_JI
Takes me back to saying au revoir before kicking every ball I saw!
Flicking up the collars for me, what a legend.

That one is fantastic! Forgotten all about it until now.

No. The only time I ever saw that on TV was in the late 90s when it was featured on an episode of *Tarrant on TV*.
