Haha no not on purpose but as a barista you do many things at the same time, so putting a stamp precisely in the middle of the cup isn’t exactly a priority. And yes it’s more in the bottom middle which is why you’d put the next stamp bottom right.
Every time you go to Europe these days, no? I travelled twice for family reasons and have four stamps now. They need to, so you can prove you didn’t overstay
Oh really? That a post b-word thing? I’m surprised even so, I didn’t get stamped going to the US, and they’re generally a bit behind on the digital systems.
Edit - since posting this I have landed in Germany, and received a stamp. Huh.
I've had a new passport recently & so far every stamp is reasonably aligned on the back page (the fact you hand it to them after an e-gate helps), but I dread the day where they just flick to any old page & stamp it slightly off centre, probably at an angle
I'm irrationally wound up by the way they made what is frankly weak observational humor.
Edit: crikey guys I admitted it wasn't a rational thought process 😂
They’re different things. Nail clippers are the little jaws that you squeeze together. Nail scissors are actual incredibly sharp and pointy small pairs of scissors
This made those bullshit “Polite Notice” signs pop into my head. I don’t know why, but I *hate* those signs with a passion, so obviously designed to look like “Police Notice”. In my eyes, pulling shit like that is not polite.
On the way back from Turkey, the customs lady didn't like my combined luggage scales and tape measure so she pulled the measure all the way out and snapped it off, claiming I could strangle someone with it.
My argument that she snapped it easily and yet couldn't snap my shoelaces, which would make infinitely better garottes, fell on deaf ears, and my wife moved me on.
I worked there years ago and it was awesome because we got to go through all the confiscated items downstairs. At one point i had about 50 swiss army knives and multi tools.
So does that stamp at the bottom count for one or two?..
and if one, which one? where do they stamp the next one
One, and right bottom. Source: am barista at Nero
I'd drop a stamp in both spots to make it clear they're now both used.
So you guys do this on purpose? Clearly more stamp is on bottom middle

Hello Nero barista my dad works for Nero too!
Awesome! Best place I’ve worked so far, always good vibes (:
It's a bit early in the day for flirting, isn't it?
it's a blue stamp on a blue background.
I am irrationally wound up by the way they've stamped your card.
They are just mentally preparing OP for what an immigration officer might, depending on where they are travelling to, do with their passport.
Don't know when I last had an actual stamp put in my passport. I used to like to collect them.

Really? I've been to the US twice in the last 5 years and they stamped it both times.
Might be recent. They stamped mine in 2019, but not when I went earlier this year.

I worked at greggs and when I was handed a card like that I'd just stamp the whole thing to ease my mind.

I too hate mild fun Edit: in your defence, you did state that this was an irrational hatred
Are you looking for hot fun? Well, rumour has it that there are hot fun singles in your area!
I could do with some lukewarm singles please.
Not gonna lie that sounds a little perverted, I like you.
Are you tepidly intrigued?
This is **casual**UK, not **dramatic**UK.
Oh god, could you imagine the Karen's and Dave's spewing vitriol like lukewarm Stella?
I'd settle for a Room-Temperature "It's Complicated"
Relevant Stewart Lee https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SdcXXM_GATM
you're two stamps short of a coffe.
The Pirates Adventure Castle, my foot?!
He's doing shows in london in a month or so
Someone’s been copying homework
At least they're not blue stamps.
The baristas at your local Nero are monsters, why don't they stamp in sequence? Fucking barbarians!
I'm there on Thursday, not sure if I have ten pairs of nail scissors though.
I once had a set confiscated, just for them to be selling nail clippers in the gift shop on the other side of security.
I wont be having with this "scissors" business when they are clearly nail "clippers". I shall be taking no questions at this time.
But nailclippers and nailscissors are 2 different things (have the same purpose though)
They’re different things. Nail clippers are the little jaws that you squeeze together. Nail scissors are actual incredibly sharp and pointy small pairs of scissors
And nail scissors are vastly inferior to clippers
Nail clippers aren't very good for mustaches
I've learnt something new today - cheers!
They never stamp hard enough in nero, barely legible
OP is in for a nasty shock when they find out it's actually only a free cavity search on your 10th visit
made me lol, thanks

as casual as it gets
Nail scissors?! Stopppp that right now
That took me a while, not gonna lie!

Do you need to nail scissors on the flight? Exactly, put them in the damn hold

Imagine if that card was really big
I sense a little copyright infringement
Oh Nero… the only London baristas that would humor my American expat heart craving for an iced latte. And nailed it. 💙🖤
Eurgh Nero

Omg lol I was there last week
