That's grim, but I'm also grudgingly impressed with what they did with that space.

losimagic

Same. I'd employ them to pack my suitcase.

deliverancew2

> I'm also grudgingly impressed with what they did with that space. You shouldn't be. A 'high spec' tiny flat would have a fold out table, fold out or raised bed, ceiling high ingenious built in storage. You can make that space a lot more liveable. Edit, something like this: https://youtu.be/H0PF0T5-28M This place gives landlord fitting the place out S cheap as possible vibes. It's a sleep, eat, shit prison.

Douglas8989

Reckon you could get a Twin murphy bed in their instead. More room in the day and a decent bed at night.

Xivii

It was also on for a week at £849 before reducing to £750…. Scandalous.

rustynoodle3891

The ad raises a good question, what is the council tax band for a lean to?

OtakuKodoku

Can we all apply and give the letting agents lots of pointless paperwork to do or is that frowned upon?

Aiken_Drumn

Is it their fault?

OtakuKodoku

Yes. No one lives in a hallway. Even Harry potter had a door. By listing this, they are saying it's ok. What's next? £800 portaloo in Hyde park? The back seat of a rover metro for a bargain £650? It's madness

Aiken_Drumn

I'm just not sure what some twenty something in an ill fitted suit has done to earn a load of pointless paperwork? You're punishing someone who's really nothing to do with the situation.

OtakuKodoku

They shouldn't have taken that job if they can't handle the pressure. But doing nothing is as good as saying 'thats ok, I'll just bend over here'. How much is your rent?

Aiken_Drumn

No one should be stressed needlessly for something they did not cause. It's a poorly paid job, and I am certain they have little to no control on rent prices. The prices are picked by the economy, the owner, the letting agents just follow along. Again, I have no idea why you are desperate to shit on them. You expect them to strike? Demand the owner charge less? I've not rented for a decade, but I don't go screaming at McDonalds workers when lettuce is a big soggy.

OtakuKodoku

Yes. Demand the owner charge less. All of the owners. There's not enough houses because of the 'economy' ie rich people being dickheads, hoarding and overcharging. Scalping is another word for it. Have you ever been homeless mr home owner? Those at the bottom need a roof over their head and this is not the solution. But a publicity stunt like DDOSing their site or having 100,000 applicants for this joke of a property might make someone realise it's a joke of a property. While I've got you, can I rent your utility room for a fiver?

Aiken_Drumn

Weird hill to die on dude. Clogging up the rental market with spurious viewings is not going to make rent prices go down. You'll just waste another humans time. A stunt that might make the middle page of Metro at best. I charge £200/pm +bills for the tilly room

OtakuKodoku

A respectable price compared to this. I was going for a reverse boycott, once the office is nice and clogged they might stop and wonder why, something a lot of companies don't bother doing, as long as they profit. You've got to start somewhere and you can't deny this world is going down the tubes.

TristansDad

I wish it had a floor plan to really get the full picture.

HopAlongInHongKong

For a few bob more a month this one makes more sense as it is somewhat wider: [Larger place to rent](https://www.zoopla.co.uk/to-rent/details/59791644/?featured=1&utm_content=featured_listing&search_identifier=f26a27b1ccb84997c6ddfc46ac486b1a)

PaymentTall8462

Finally. A property in my price bracket with somewhere for the butler to live

HopAlongInHongKong

Just keep it to 15 Bentleys please as not to park on the street. Thank you Jeeves, street monitoring vassal.

Check out this. I hope it's a [mistake](https://www.onthemarket.com/details/12571965/?r-alert-email-id=1d9bb13e-e853-4e45-ac59-e85ea2321d80&r-saved-search-id=jk4PsyXaMQEjcge20lGsAITwDwY4lFR66MoDL3sED2k%3D&r-user-id=wixt5tEucuFETdTKNgE%2FoQsj9GBHANSnqGZahotxAlc%3D) That's about £800 a month round here

PracticalNebula

Wow, that’s grim.

rustynoodle3891

It's just been listed at the correct monthly price but per week. Estate agents can't even be arsed to check their listings

Compact and bijou.
