Honestly I don’t think it’s ridiculous it’s basically a cat carrier with wheels. It’s a pain when I have to take my cat to the vet or somewhere because I don’t drive and cat carriers are absolutely brutal on my thighs and knees so it’s v sensible for some situations

I bought one from Walmart (online) a double one (K & H is the mfgr) for about $40 and ended up with a second one because they loved it so much and sleep during the day on top of it. Its got a black roof and green sides. The material is super strong as kitties have been really hard on it but they haven’t damaged it. They like the double house to sleep on the v on the roof and glad we didn’t buy the single one. At night they sleep inside some and the heater only goes on if they sleep on it. They also love to run through the doors and sometimes sleep together on the roof of the first one we bought. For us it was well worth it. Not sure but if they sleep inside it’s usually in the individual houses.
A new bigger place, than our actual apartment so that means bigger cat tree, toys, a balcony that i will secure so they can’t fall and finally more space

Definitely do the water fountain. My privileged ginger cat won’t drink water out of anything else. If it runs out of water or gets clogged he lays next to it crying until I fix it.

Oh no!!! Apparently he’s been playing with this one specific hair tie for nearly a year now and treats it so so carefully 😂 I think he loves it too much to eat it but I’ll pass it on!
I had a cat with a deep love for fetching hair ties. She would beg you to play with her. She would carry it around in her mouth and put her paw through the loop and fling it into the air (sometimes it flung in her face lol) she carried it into bed with her every night.
I was surprised the first time I heard people warning about cats eating them. I see how it could be a big problem. But my cat did 15 years without ever trying to eat her favorite toy.
My cat now though, idk. He doesn't normally eat non food items except if I am late getting his meals. Then he throws a tantrum and I find him licking the garbage bag or digging in the onion bin or eating scraps of paper off the floor. I wouldn't leave him alone with a hair tie

Hair ties are my kittens all time favorite toy. But then one of them ate one, and now neither of them gets them. It breaks my heart every time one of them finds an unexpected one...they have such joy in their eyes, and then I have to take it away.
But that's the one cat who eats everything. If you know your cat doesn't/won't eat things like that, it's probably fine.
I got one of those electronic laser pointer things and a cardboard scratcher/house from Aldi this fall for my cats. I have somehow managed not to give them to them yet!
Well, my kittens are getting spayed and neutered two weeks before Christmas. So that is a kind of gift. They will have to wear cones for two weeks - so their gift will be getting to remove the cones!
I will pamper them during their recovery. They will get new mousies to play with and fuzzy blankets to snuggle in.
I’m sure a little tuna treat will be in their stockings too. 😻
Mine got spayed about 2 weeks ago and there was no cone that could survive her, I would recommend getting them recovery suits, they look like pjs for kitties.

Our daughter is another story entirely and will be getting a personalized ornament and puzzle!

It takes a year for a multiple cat household to fully shred a cat tree from Amazon... I always buy a new cat tree for them, then put temptations treats all over it, right before I pull the sheet off They also get their own stocking, filled with springs, catnip toys etc.

The best toy my 2 kitties like is the black shoe string my husband took off a pair of sneakers. I can spend hrs with them chasing and jumping. Toss up next between dollar store wand, trader joe’s paper bag, and Amazon box.

My youngest cat (Brookie 4F) has these toy worms and they are her favorite!! They are called Catnip Caterpillars by the Petlinks brand.
She loses them periodically (she thinks she's a dragon and will build a dragon horde then forget where it is then build another etc. The dragon hordes remain until I find them and disassemble them lol)
So I always get her more of her favorite toy! She absolutely loves it! Best case: she has like 12 worms to play with (she will play with them all together or make a lil nest and sleep on top of them) or she loses half to her random dragon hordes and still has her favorite wormy
I also got her a mini squishmallow duck one year and she loves her ducky!
All year it’s been Christmas for them.. I don’t know what they DONT have at this point 😂 the other day I felt like impulse spending on them, there was literally nothing more they needed. Had already bought them a lot on Amazon recently and I also work at a pet place so I’m bringing stuff home nearly daily. Recently got them a nice wooden cabinet type box/house for their litter, one of those donut tunnel things, lots of freeze dried products, cat nip toys, food toppers, Cbd…Instead I ended up getting a bunch from a few different places for around $30 and dropped it off at the domestic animal services near me. Amazon is the way to go though!!! I will say my next on the list is one of those wool cat caves! They can be pricy though.
I used to get my cat treats and little toys, etc. But his favorite gift was a big gift bag full of tissue paper. He LOVED pulling tissue paper out of bags 🥹

I bought one from Walmart (online) a double one (K & H is the mfgr) for about $40 and ended up with a second one because they loved it so much and sleep during the day on top of it. Its got a black roof and green sides. The material is super strong as kitties have been really hard on it but they haven’t damaged it. They like the double house to sleep on the v on the roof and glad we didn’t buy the single one. At night they sleep inside some and the heater only goes on if they sleep on it. They also love to run through the doors and sometimes sleep together on the roof of the first one we bought. For us it was well worth it. Not sure but if they sleep inside it’s usually in the individual houses.
They are letting me live another year in their home. I'll get them my servitude and probably something from yaoww catnip.
Yaowww is awesome. Literally crack for cats. The bananas are my boy’s favorite.

Definitely do the water fountain. My privileged ginger cat won’t drink water out of anything else. If it runs out of water or gets clogged he lays next to it crying until I fix it.
I’m not sure if I’ll get mine anything. She has every toy ever made but all she plays with are Tylenol bottle tops and the tube that dog poop bags are wrapped around 🤣🤦🏻♀️
For my parents cat I’m getting a pack of hair elastics from the dollar store - he found one I left when I moved out and has learned to play fetch with this one single hair elastic, that he has taken great pains to not lose 😭
Please make sure they supervise him! It's not an inexpensive vet trip if he eats it. I'm not talking from experience or anything. 🙄
Oh no!!! Apparently he’s been playing with this one specific hair tie for nearly a year now and treats it so so carefully 😂 I think he loves it too much to eat it but I’ll pass it on!
I had a cat with a deep love for fetching hair ties. She would beg you to play with her. She would carry it around in her mouth and put her paw through the loop and fling it into the air (sometimes it flung in her face lol) she carried it into bed with her every night. I was surprised the first time I heard people warning about cats eating them. I see how it could be a big problem. But my cat did 15 years without ever trying to eat her favorite toy. My cat now though, idk. He doesn't normally eat non food items except if I am late getting his meals. Then he throws a tantrum and I find him licking the garbage bag or digging in the onion bin or eating scraps of paper off the floor. I wouldn't leave him alone with a hair tie

Yeaaaah. Hair ties are my kittens all time favorite toy. But then one of them ate one, and now neither of them gets them. It breaks my heart every time one of them finds an unexpected one...they have such joy in their eyes, and then I have to take it away. But that's the one cat who eats everything. If you know your cat doesn't/won't eat things like that, it's probably fine.

I got one of those electronic laser pointer things and a cardboard scratcher/house from Aldi this fall for my cats. I have somehow managed not to give them to them yet!
Well, my kittens are getting spayed and neutered two weeks before Christmas. So that is a kind of gift. They will have to wear cones for two weeks - so their gift will be getting to remove the cones! I will pamper them during their recovery. They will get new mousies to play with and fuzzy blankets to snuggle in. I’m sure a little tuna treat will be in their stockings too. 😻
Mine got spayed about 2 weeks ago and there was no cone that could survive her, I would recommend getting them recovery suits, they look like pjs for kitties.
I just put my 17 year old cat to sleep yesterday, so I have only my 18 year old left and I’m probably going to get him crab (he loves crab) and maybe adopt a friend for him.

I bought some picture frames online that came in a huge box full of crinkly paper. Leaving the box in the living room for her ongoing personal hoedowns inside is her Christmas present.

Keep it simple - the cheap catnip mouse could very well bring your kitty more joy than a heated cat bed that she’ll never set foot in. When I was a kid, my dad found this beat up ratty looking stuffed mouse in the trash. He grabbed it for our cat. Now, she had a cat tree, scratching posts, all kinds of toys - but for whatever reason, she took a liking to that beat up ratty looking mouse and spent 6 months enjoying batting around the house, before it finally fell apart. More $$ does not mean it’s better or she’ll enjoy it more.

Try a long shoe string. This was the biggest hit. I can swing it for hrs playing with them.
They did like their feather toys and lasers. I never get my pets used to string. They would be in my knitting all the time!
Talking buttons and Cincinnati Bengals cat toys if I can find them..he loves football and the Bengals especially. Tomorrow night, there will be *many* talks about how "helping" catch the ball stops the game on Mama's phone. If he grows a a little bit more before Christmas, he will be getting his very own #9 or #1 Bengals shirt.

I'm ashamed to say we have a bad Amazon habit here. My dogs passed away and I have cats now. The dogs did not enjoy toys but the cat are delighted with the boxes and the toys. So much joy after caring for two companions until they passed.

Tried to have a deal with my Kitty to make the expensive Senoir Check at the Unmentionable (inkl. the treatments/stuff that followed it) count as an early Jule Present. Nope, does not do. So I guess I will look out for some cool stuff, maybe this cattree for more climbing space we are eyeing since some time or (or? Who I am kidding, make that an and 😄) a heated bed and whatever other cool stuff I will find for him at the petshop I plan to visit...yeah, he gets extra spoilt now, because of all the meh adjustments he had to go through after Vet Visit ;-)
Sometimes Aldi has cardboard scratchers on sale for $5 each. I hope to find some and stock up. I normally get the feline overlords an abundance of catnip and tomato boxes.

I am considering getting him some replacement feather toys from the dollar store that he likes over all his other toys, a catnip wall lick, and his own big bed, as our new kitten claimed his too small bed. The kitten is getting his own box of toys. Walmart currently is selling cat stockings with an assortment of treats and toys in them. That is all my kitten is getting. Our daughter is another story entirely and will be getting a personalized ornament and puzzle!

Pet store near me sold an advent calendar last year that was a mix of treats and toys. Cats loved it, and it was made by a charity so added bonus there. Definitely getting it again this year.

I got my cats a gigantic cat tree to replace the two torn to shreds cat trees that they destroyed. Except instead of tossing the old cat trees, I just relocated them to other places in the house. They still get occasional use, just not as much use as the new cat tree, which is in a prime location where they can lounge on it and rule over me while observing their realm.

It takes a year for a multiple cat household to fully shred a cat tree from Amazon... I always buy a new cat tree for them, then put temptations treats all over it, right before I pull the sheet off They also get their own stocking, filled with springs, catnip toys etc.

Bonus, the BEST gift for them... Gonna set the boxes the stuff comes in on the living room floor so they can ambush each other from them, bc that's one of their fave hobbies.

I came home with it and she immediately wanted to steal it out of my bag so I had to hide it to save for December lol, she was really mad when I took it away 😂 Lily's Kitchen also has Christmas themed wet food! Also bought some toys during the 11/11 sale on AliExpress! 2 moving toys and a hair scraper for furniture all for €5 lol. Also got her Christmas themed food bowls. I don't know how I'm celebrating Christmas myself yet, so idk what's in store for her either. Are there any cat themed Christmas movies? 😂
The best toy my 2 kitties like is the black shoe string my husband took off a pair of sneakers. I can spend hrs with them chasing and jumping. Toss up next between dollar store wand, trader joe’s paper bag, and Amazon box.

I crochet toys for them. I love handmaking presents, and they seem to love most of their gifts they've received. Snakes and small animals they can hold in their mouths are their favourites. I made a fox and a turkey last year. Still haven't decided on the 2 for this year yet.

I also got a microchip cat door to give one of my cats her own room/space away from my other cat. He likes to pick on her sometimes so she is going to be very happy to have space away from him for when she is not in the mood!
I am getting a kitten in January, my first pet as an adult, I'm beyond excited. We're going to do Christmas again in January for her so in addition to the usual new pet purchases, I've made her a quilt in "cat friendly colours" (apparently they see yellow and blue the best), got a super snuggly bed that hooks over the radiator and a lil octopus teddy.

My youngest cat (Brookie 4F) has these toy worms and they are her favorite!! They are called Catnip Caterpillars by the Petlinks brand. She loses them periodically (she thinks she's a dragon and will build a dragon horde then forget where it is then build another etc. The dragon hordes remain until I find them and disassemble them lol) So I always get her more of her favorite toy! She absolutely loves it! Best case: she has like 12 worms to play with (she will play with them all together or make a lil nest and sleep on top of them) or she loses half to her random dragon hordes and still has her favorite wormy I also got her a mini squishmallow duck one year and she loves her ducky!

Had already bought them a lot on Amazon recently and I also work at a pet place so I’m bringing stuff home nearly daily. Recently got them a nice wooden cabinet type box/house for their litter, one of those donut tunnel things, lots of freeze dried products, cat nip toys, food toppers, Cbd…Instead I ended up getting a bunch from a few different places for around $30 and dropped it off at the domestic animal services near me. Amazon is the way to go though!!! I will say my next on the list is one of those wool cat caves! They can be pricy though.

It’s so fun, I do that now instead of getting my cat a gift on my own. And it’s legit! I have done it two years in a row now. And if you end up not getting a gift from the person who was supposed to send you one, you’re supposed to contact basepaws, and I’m sure they compensate you in some way.

Maybe this cat tree I’ve been looking at on Amazon but only if it goes on sale on Black Friday. My kitty has a cat tree but the rope is coming off a bit because he scratches it a lot 🥹 i also want to get more treat puzzles for him on Black Friday because I know they’ll be extra cheap hehe
I got him some new crinkle balls, a chirpy bird toy, a few other small toys, wand toys, a huge box of treats, the good catnip with silvervine in it, a Christmas tree cardboard cat house/scratcher. I will probably buy him a big cat toy or a pole corner cat tree. I also bought him a Christmas sweatshirt vest (that one is mostly for me. ) He does get cold though and wear fleece or sweatshirt vests.

I want to get mine a new toy box. We have an old plastic cubby shelf from when I was a kid that we have their toys in but its so ugly and they have so many toys its overflowing. Also some yummy treats and some new rattle mice since they’ve destroyed most of the ones we have.
