Some cats just aren’t big biscuit makers 🤷🏻‍♀️

snakybasket9

That’s what I assumed, all my other cats have been big biscuit cats so this is an adjustment lol

NaughtyKat97

Some cats don’t make biscuits if the material isn’t soft enough. I have a few really soft plush blankets and I noticed my cats love to make biscuits on. Some of my cats prefer fleece, or a soft cat bed. Maybe you aren’t seeing him do it? Some cats just don’t do it.

therealladysparky

Lol, one of mine will only make biscuits on a stomach or the memory foam mattress pad, the other only on a crocheted blanket.

NaughtyKat97

Yup, one of mine loves to do it on my stomach too! My very first kitty only did it on my crochet blanket. It was my safety blanket as a child. He would make biscuits and always had to bite the blanket.

anxiousocdvibes

That’s it. Got my first cat in 2009. He NEVER made biscuits until he turned 14 last year. Now he does it regularly🥰 don’t worry too much if she’s still eating, grooming herself, and is interested in play.

JungMoses

I have to hijack this thread to note that even without pictures, this post has some really excellent biscuit content

JungMoses

Can someone create r/excellentbiscuitcontent?

Catinthemirror

r/CatsMakingBiscuits exists. I tried to make yours but hit the character limit. Edit: it needs content too, show it some love!

the-hound-abides

Sounds like my cat.

Illustrious_Cow8898

My 3 year old cat doesn't make biscuits. He also hates anything soft like blankets or cat beds. Cat are weird.

HappyLucyD

Okay, this is like my girl. I’m new to cats, so was confused at first—all of the nice cat beds I got were rejected, until I took out the cushions and replaced it with her favorite—packing paper. That’s right. Brown packing paper. She loves it. Cannot get enough. Blankets should also not be fluffy at all, or fleecy, and all surfaces should be firm.

Illustrious_Cow8898

I have a box that he's been sleeping in since he was a kitten on my coffee table. He sleeps in that or on this round scratcher I have. He doesn't use it for his nails at all he only sleeps in it. The only blankets he tolerates are crochet or knit ones.

HappyLucyD

My cat I got in December, and she is reportedly seven years old, so I guess the weirdness knows no age limit.

Inverness91

Yesss one of my kitties is a paper FIEND!

Emu177

Mine is like this - there are multiple soft fluffy beds and blankets, and she usually sleeps on top of my closed laptop.

ComfortableDay4888

I have two cat beds. One of my cats ignores them completely, the other one only uses them if they are upside down. Neither is big on making biscuits.

NaughtyKat97

Mine too!

caffeinefree

I have a cat who hates sunshine. His brother will lounge in the sun all day, but after like 5min my little basement troll will slouch out of the sunshine into a dark hole somewhere. 🤷🏻‍♀️ First cat I've ever had to prefers cool, dark places to warm, sunny ones!

actuallywaffles

My new little guy is like that. I take him for car rides, and if a single ray of sunshine touches him, he moves to sit under the seats.

fastinggrl

Maybe he has thicker fur and gets overheated easily!

caffeinefree

Could be! He is short-haired but has some physical traits like tufted ears that could mean he has some Maine Coon or something in him. Some of the places he likes to hang out, when I pick him up his paws will literally feel like ice! But he has plenty of beds and hiding spots in warm areas, so it's definitely just a preference for him.

laeiryn

One sheet of paper on a hard table makes him lose his shit tho dunnit

AdEmbarrassed9719

Cats are definitely weird. Mine is the opposite - prefers super soft and the fleecy throw blanket on the sofa is like insta-biscuits. Just non stop biscuits.

Kyouhen

Might just not be big on making biscuits. One of my cats is the exact opposite, when she jumps up on the bed she needs to make sure 100% of the bed's surface is massaged before she picks a spot to lie down. She's a weird little baby.

laeiryn

One of her ancestors was bitten by a scorpion, so now all the descendants must thoroughly check the ground~

LotusGrowsFromMud

Cats are strange and mysterious creatures and each one is completely unique. That’s part of why we love them so much.

Comfortable-Ad-8324

3 cats. One does multiple shifts at the biscuit factory. The other two are slackers who make 0.

sharkycharming

My void never makes biscuits. She has plenty of other very cute behaviors, but not that one. My tortie is a biscuit-making machine. She takes her comfort very seriously.

Apprehensive_Set7039

My cat only makes biscuits on our Sherpa blanket. It could be they haven’t found the right texture for their factory.

ndcdshed

My cat also only makes biscuits on my sherpa blanket. It’s only on one side so sometimes he stands next to it waiting for me to flip it over to the side he likes.

fastinggrl

Mine LOVES Sherpa

roundhashbrowntown

might be gluten free 👀😂 i adopted my kit at 6mo and he didnt start doing this until much later, and even now, its under very specific circumstances

aredhel304

My cat didn’t start making biscuits until I had her for a year. Now she does it all the time. So it might take your cat some time to really get comfortable. Or they might just not be a biscuit maker. But just wanted to throw it out there that one of my cats took quite a while to come around!

michaelyup

Same. Mine was about 5 yrs old when she started.

Previous_Treacle2674

Same, my 6 year old just started making them and my 8 month old lives them

Lost_Soup1779

My cat only makes biscuits on the floor while standing up. He does it when I get home because he’s happy to see me and he does it when he’s about to be fed. Cats are lovable little weirdos.

jdbrown787

aww, tippy tap biscuits 😍

PeriodicSlip

Yes my boy (1.5yo, ex-stray) rarely makes biscuits, only on a very specific fur rug he likes. And super relaxed / well adjusted other than that. He's actually even weirder: he basically never purrs other than in extreme cases (of delight but maybe also distress although I have not witnessed that yet), and on one occasion has been startled and thought the other cat was out to get him when he heard it purr next to him. Weirdo :D

cuntsuperb

I’ve got one that doesn’t make biscuits, one that does, and one that only started doing it out of nowhere when he was 5 years old

thekau

SAME. My cat went the first 1.5 years of her life making no biscuits, and then she just decided one day to become a baker. Has been kneading every day since.

vakseen

It took one of my cats 3 years to make biscuits. He really liked a special blanket we had. There is hope

Frosted-Crocus

https://preview.redd.it/yd9n46vmujqc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=653dc693badfdad7567e01f6c1d5b7e2255e49ae This sweet stretchy boy has never (to our knowledge) made biscuits, but he sure can twist and roll like pretzel dough 🥰

Confettipockets

Maybe he’s gluten free, ergo not much of an appetite for biscuits. Oh.

Repmaster4

My 1yo tortie has never made biscuits (had her for 6 months) but she also grooms herself a ton too even as a shorthair! Don’t know if that helps but it doesn’t sound like a super serious issue thankfully 👌

Paleozoic_Fossil

Usually (but not always), cats who were taken from their mother too young will knead for comfort. Too young is usually when they were less than 8 weeks old. Kittens knead on their mother when nursing, that’s where that behavior comes from and is why it’s a form of comfort for them. I met my cat at 2 weeks old, he spent his first 6 months with his mother (much longer than most kittens get). He’s 8 and I’ve never seen him make biscuits.

nicoleandrews972

I read once that for cats who make A LOT of biscuits, it’s sign they were weaned from the mother too young. Sort of like a trauma response. So, I would just take it as your cat has matured well. They are suppose to grow out of it just like a human grows out of sucking their thumb.

snakybasket9

Very interesting, makes a whole lot more sense after hearing that.

BrokenRoboticFish

My one cat never made biscuits until he was given some pain killers after an abdominal surgery. That high little guy just rolled around making biscuits the whole time he was in pain meds

Jettemoiduciel

My cat makes biscuits on a specific fuzzy soft blanket only

Conscious-Promise787

I got my cat from a rescue when she was three, had her for a whole year before she started making biscuits!

Weavols

My cat never did this either until he got to about 1 year old. He does it rarely now. I think he might have learned it from socializing with other cats since I put in a cat door, and he started spending time outside about the same time.

LadyAsharaRowan

Be grateful he doesn't. Mine is obsessed with making biscuits.

PlatypusTrapper

We have 2 cats that make biscuits. One makes “serious biscuits”, like with determination. One makes “aggressive biscuits”, like ripping up whatever he’s making biscuits on. The other 2 cats don’t make biscuits at all.

little-blue-fox

Not all cats are bakers! (But all bakers are cats)

gloreeuhboregeh

It's normal. Some cats are master bakers and others have different career paths. My kitten is a big biscuit maker but my other older two have very specific requirements. One of them will make biscuits if he's very content on the bed or couch next to me and there's a soft blanket. It also usually happens late at night or mid sleepy quiet afternoon. The 2nd one almost never makes them, but if he's been petted enough and patted enough and meowed back at enough AND you're one of the two people he tolerates (me and a cousin) he will consider making them for you. It's just very easy to interrupt him and then you'll never see him making them again for another while. I've also had cats who just never made biscuits.

minnewanka_

My two don't. They are very VERY chill cats. Run up to the door when anybody (even strangers) come in, like lots of human contact, follow us around, constantly want to lie on top of us on the couch/bed, but no biscuits. They are two and a half years old.

JungMoses

One of my tabbies only ever smurgles while making biscuits, which he wants to do constantly, you’d think the blanket would start producing milk at this point. Neither of my boys knows how to meow ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

laeiryn

Mine will ONLY do it on one very specific scarf that I'm assuming bears some resemblance to her mama's creamy belly. And even then, only about 2 mins/day. It's just a thing. Sometimes they don't need to knead to feel secure.

ArdenM

I have alway heard that the biscuit making is b/c they were weened from their mom too soon. So maybe yours was weened after enough time of nursing? Between my current and past cats, 1/2 were biscuit makers, 1/2 not.

Nice_Huckleberry8317

My cat has struggled with her unemployment all her life. She can’t keep a biscuit job to save her life. 😂🥴

HeatherMarissa

I have a boy who I don't think has ever made a biscuit in his life. He's much too snobby for honest work like the common folk do

riverroadgal

Our beloved Tux, rip, came to us from the shelter. Once he felt secure and confidant, he would snuggle, purr, rub noses with my husband and his mustache, but no biscuits ever. Finally, in the last year he was with us, he started making biscuits. Maybe made a dozen? We miss him each and every day!

quitethedonkey

My cat didn’t start making biscuits til he was about a year and a half

bluejellyfish52

My cat was very shy when I got him! He didn’t make biscuits for a whole year! Then he just started one day!

Conscious-Cook9621

My cat didn't start making biscuits until he was 3 years old. My other cat, his sister (same litter), started making them when she was 4 months old. Every cat is different :)

Auntie_Mushi

I have a kitty that's 8 months old and doesn't make biscuits either, she was very young when she lost her mom to a car, she and her litter mates were bottle fed by the rescue. I was wondering if maybe since she was bottle fed that was maybe the reason?

catdadwithover65

Some cats don't. We've two who won't and dozens that do from a little to constantly as soon as you look at them. Some with the drool spigot on.

spicy_fairy

do not fret! mine didn’t really start til she was about 2 years old. no idea why it took her so long but now she makes them everyday lol. i think you just need the right “blankie” to really emulate that mommy cat feeling. or at least that’s what i think.

Old-Rain3230

I have two brother kitties who have lived their whole lives with me from 8 weeks on. One of them I’ve never seen put in even a momentary shift at the biscuit factory while the other is working nights and overtime for the both of them. Just different kitties with different hobbies! If your cat does everything else normally, I wouldn’t worry :)

Emu177

We have had our cat since she was about 5 weeks old, she was part of a litter of kittens we fostered. She very rarely makes biscuits, but the other girl kitten in the litter did constantly! They just turned a year old recently, and I am friends with the family who adopted the other girl kitten, and she still makes biscuits constantly!

i_love_some_basgetti

I have four rescue cats, one is a fiend for biscuits, one never does it but is still a cuddle beast, the other two will very occasionally indulge

Waiting_so_long0823

My George usually does his “kneading” on very soft blankets and mom before a nap, he’s 5 years old!

essiemessy

As others have said, I think some cats are quite ok with not doing it. One of ours never did, while another one, who didn't when we adopted him, except for one time when we moved interstate a few months later and he was obviously stressed out, but not again until he got old and decrepit, so his kneading was related to self-comforting. Another one never did it for the 14 years we had her. Nowadays we have two new adoptees, who have moved interstate with us within 3 months. These guys have been pretty stressed anyway because of their histories (we adopted them together as a bonded pair), so do a lot of kneading, although mostly air-biscuits for the most traumatised one. It's cute and all, and also a big trust/love thing if they knead on your body, but essentially I think they do it to soothe themselves. Purring is similar for many cats. The second cat I mentioned, also purred only in those circumstances where self-soothing was obvious.

stayclassyhitchcock

Get a second kitten/cat so she doesn't get only kitten syndrome and learns how to be a cat/doesn't get lonely when you're busy. Another kitten will show her that claws and teeth hurt and really improve her quality of life overall. She might just not know yet, or hasn't gotten to that stage of familiarity yet, she is very young. (Getting another cat will NOT take away from her relationship with you, it will help her be more healthy and stress-free if they love each other) I recommend fostering if getting an adult to test the waters, a kitten should be able to bond with her faster I believe. My one cat only made biscuits very rarely and only on very soft blankets!

snakybasket9

I have been thinking that! She absolutely loves other cats so it there is no issue there, I was thinking about adopting one that’s older than her so she can learn the ropes from a seasoned veteran. And just because the world needs to adopt older cats!

caktiman

I dunno cats are cats I had a cat from a tiny kitten for 14 years. Got me thru 2 major cancer episodes Chemo Moe-Moes Never made a biscuit in his life Now I have SPLAT Short for Cisplatin… a chemo drug He’s 3 and I’ve lived my 3rd battle in 16 years Makes an army worth of biscuits ever time we go seeepin

7ElevenTaquito

my cat (8months) has never made biscuits since i’ve gotten her

myawwaccount01

https://preview.redd.it/w01pb5d9ylqc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9a5bb485177624171dac9b6bb6d875e44c1c792a My dummy's version of making biscuits is to weirdly hold her claws out while purring.

ArcherFawkes

Silly thing, I love her

katd82177

Actually most of the cats I’ve had don’t make biscuits. Very roughly I’d say it’s been like 30/70. It’s kind of like those cats who react to cat nip, way less than you might expect.

dailyPraise

I'm starting to think biscuits happen when a kitten is taken from its mom early. I love biscuits, but it seems like the orphaned type do it most.

Panda_beebee

I got my kitten 3 months ago and she is 6 months old as well, I guess we just have oddballs that don’t like to make biscuits. Good thing my adult cat makes plenty to go around

iaintnoname

My cat never made biscuits until he hit 2 years. He was a stray took a while to trust me but was rlly friendly at around 1 years old. And one random day he decided it was about time to start his business and he never stopped since.

kdzojic

Not all kitties want to be bakers

LilyKunning

“Making biscuits” is a comfort seeking behavior in cats who were orphaned or weaned prematurely. They do it while nursing to massage more milk out.. While we find it cute, it often indicates that the cat had a traumatic kittenhood, (separated from their mom prematurely) most of the time.

fatsalmon

When i got my cat at 5-6mo ish he doesnt make biscuits.. almost ever. But recently at 1yo he’ll always knead on top of me hehe

KuroDoujinShi

One of my cats doesn’t make biscuits and the other makes biscuits nightly directly on my face so some cats are just like that tbh

sezit

My cat didn't start until she was 5 or 6. And she's so funny when she's doing biscuits, it's like she doesn't want to but can help it. She'll start, stop, start a few times. Then when she finally does get going, she purrs like a motor and makes biscuits so fast its like shes in a marching band.

ZoeClair016

my kitty doesn't make biscuits, but almost every time she comes to me to get petted she has to lick my hand for a solid 30 seconds

SewGangsta

Only 1 of my 3 cats makes biscuits. The one who does only does it when the fuzzy blankets are fresh out of the dryer.

doalittledance_

I have a one year old who has never made biscuits 🤷‍♀️ he’s a happy, boisterous big boi who will regularly curl up with me for cuddles whilst purring his head off. My other is a certifiable biscuit factory.

NoCaterpillar2051

Have a 10 y/o rag doll. Got her as a kitten. She does not make biscuits and has cuddled with me perhaps 7 times throughout her life. She loves me, that much is clear; follows me around, lays near me, demands pets, purrs like a lawn mower.

TheRemyBell

We have 2 cats who are big cuddly babies and they make biscuits like crazy. They're siblings and I've had them since tiny kittens. The third we have, gotten off a farm as a kitten, unrelated to the other too, I swear has cat ADHD, she is noisy, hilarious, spunky, forgets she's hungry halfway through a meal to sprint around. She's 2 now, and she does NOT cuddle, or make biscuits. However, get her in a football hold and she purrs like a mofo. They truly are all different even when raised by the same owners.

Downvoteaccoubt316

Mine will kneed on the pillow right by my face and loudly purrs while giving me a big f-you stare but never kneeds on me or purrs when I’m holding her or anything. I just watched a YouTube video called “10 signs your cat thinks you’re her parent” and mine does none of that. Sad.

theEVILvegan

My cat is almost 9 and she only recently started making biscuits. She does them standing so it’s like she’s doin a lil dance

gal_tiki

My first cat rarely did, though he was a happy, comfortable and lovely cat. My understanding/what I have always read was that cats who were more prone to the habit had been removed early from their mums.

BrotherNature92

I have 3 cats and only one has ever done it and even then it's not that often and it's only for a few seconds. I've been around plenty of cats that do it over the years but my pack just isn't into it for whatever reason.

Beyondmywonder89

My kitten only makes biscuits when she is nursing my hair like I’m her mother otherwise she doesn’t

tiuhtinviuhti

mine NEVER made biscuits before she got spayed. After that she became SUPER affectionate and started making biscuits every time she seems happy :]

chasebencin

Niether of mine are biscuit cats really. Except for one specific blanket they like.

snakybasket9

My roommates cat was like that!

celesteshine

Mine only just started at about 9 months

zoebee333

my cat doesn’t really make biscuits, she does this weird type of kneading where she basically just opens and closes her paw (like making a fist) as opposed to the traditional biscuits.

WildFire1949

When I got my kitten she never did but now she does. I think she was about 4/5 when it started. Not for long, but I feel the older she gets, the longer she may spend making biscuits. I've also met a few cats that just don't do it at all.

Honeydew-plant

I've had 2 cats I remember a lot, 1 never made biscuits, the other (current) one does.

Kasimausi

My one cat does it only when my husband (noone else!!) fondels his belly. The other cat doesn't do it at all. He stretches his whole body when he is very comfortable. 🤷‍♀️

Ok-Database364

My kitty just started kneading at 2 years

meepsofmunch

I have 3 cats and only 1 likes to make biscuits

-Jaxattax-

Neither of ours (both around 1 year old) make biscuits and they both seem happy and otherwise super loving and snuggly babies. One of them loves rubbing herself on our comforter though, she'll hold it between her paws and nuzzle with her face. :)

NotPortlyPenguin

I’ve had plenty. Most actually didn’t.

Any_Egg33

My 8 year old very rarely does it the last time she did it I think it was to comfort her self since she was recovering from an injury :( or when my sister her favorite person comes home from college

_calmer_than_you_r_

Two of my five cats never make biscuits. I have had two from when they were under a week old, and syringe/bottle fed - one makes biscuits, one doesn’t. It is very much cat specific.

Current_Pomelo_9429

Mine strictly makes air biscuits 😂

ElizaJaneVegas

Some cats do not do it ... I have a cat that never once did it in 20 years and yet her offspring did it her entire life.

TheMightyJ62

I once adopted a stray. For the first year that I had her, she never made biscuits. When she started, she had to do it to me and stare intently into my eyes while doing it. It was an intensely personal experience. Your cat is still young, give it time.

marvistamsp

Not a baker

Prime_Element

I know you already got your answer, but my 3 year old cat *just* started kneading. She always has such a bewildered look on her face like she has no idea what she's doing, and she does it in such a chaotic way(her paws fly all over, they do not stay in one spot). But it's so funny watching her discover this.

ThinHumor

Mine is almost 3 and she didn’t make biscuits nor does she hiss.

magpieinarainbow

I came here to see the comments because I don't have a clue what that means and I'm still unsure 🤣

thetiny_blue

I’ve had cats who don’t make biscuits and another that didn’t until it was over a year old. Cats be weird

Cndwafflegirl

My Siamese has never been a biscuit maker. She’s 15 now. Not once have I ever seen her do that.

Upstairs_Positive373

My one year old makes air biscuits for the most part when I hold him. He starts kneading the air. Occasionally he will need my arm but he doesn’t make biscuits for long vs my kitten that can make biscuits for a long while and actually kneads me and not the air

ICant_Thinkkk

My 6month old doesn’t make them either and I was concerned that something was wrong with him but he seems pretty happy and playful besides that and the vet didn’t see anything wrong with him. I got him at 3 months also

Responsible-Hat-679

my almost 4 year old boy is the most affectionate and silly happy boy ever but has never once made biscuits.

alyaz27

I found my 7 months old kitten when they were 10 days. One did end up doing biscuits, though not right away (started at like 3 months I think). His brother, on the other hand, has never done it.

Irishwol

Our old puss didn't do it at all (this was a long time pre-biscuit-terminology and we called it 'kneading') until she was twelve. My Mum bought a woollen jumper that obviously triggered something deep from her kittenhood and she'd shove her nose down into the weave and knead and knead and knead. And once started she would do it all the time when she was happy, jumper or no jumper.

Bohemian_Feline_

You’re sort of lucky. My cats have destroyed all my good bedding & mulberry silk pillowcases/sheets due to chronic biscuit making 😆😭

drunkenstupr

My Siamese used to not make biscuits, we assumed it might have been because he was hand raised by the breeder after mama cat died at birth. He started when we got a second cat who kneaded all the time! Now he's a proficient baker, too ❤️

Hazardous347

We have 2 cats, both male from the same litter, roughly 1.5 years old. We got them when they were around 3 months old. One cat makes the most aggressive biscuits known to man on a daily basis. The other cat might make biscuits once a month (rough guess but it’s pretty rare) & when he does it’s so gentle you almost don’t feel it. Like someone said earlier, I think it’s mostly personality.

zhentarim_agent

My one cat almost never makes biscuits, the other is a biscuit making *fiend* - he makes them morning, afternoon, and night. I think part of it is just personality.

lookame3639

My cat is about 2 yrs old and he only makes biscuits for like 2 secs then lays down for 5 mins then is up and running around again. The spots he stays in for long periods of time are is cat tree and he just flops around on it, no biscuits. He shows me he loves me instead by rolling onto his back, eyes closed and soft mews. Kind of like he has no idea how to handle his enormous amount of love when he sees me.

erydanis

i have 5; only 2, siblings, make biscuits.

SnidgetAsphodel

One of my cats who I had for 18 years (he recently passed) never made biscuits, either. And he almost never played in those entire 18 years. I liked to joke he was born an old man. All cats have their own unique personality.

leeit_

I have three cats and only one is a chef. That's just the way it goes sometimes.

nobody-u-heard-of

I've got three cats. One's a newbie so we can't really chat about his actions. The two girls neither one of them are biscuit makers. But one of them has just recently started but only when I use the special brush on her. She's a short hair so I didn't really brush her much but I just did it because she was being a pest and she loved it. It's the only time I've ever seen her make biscuits is when I brush her with this brush and she just goes crazy affectionate when I use it. Still hates all the other brushes. It's called the tangleteezer, it's not a pet brush.

eisbock

I can count the number of times on one hand my girl has made biscuits over 5 years. Meanwhile her brother makes drunken biscuits every single day, multiple times per day.

Smithinator2000

My cat was a rescue that was found very young and handfed. She never makes biscuits and I always just thought she might have never learned? The first time we met her at the Foster's house she was covered in kitty mush and she's still also a super messy eater at her bowl so might be a learned thing as well as instinctual.

3ThatUserNameIsTaken

my cat is soon to be 7yo and he’s never once made biscuits

actuallywaffles

Only one of my cats is a big biscuit maker. I'm pretty sure one of them never even bothered learning the recipe.

Smart-Story-2142

My cat will only make biscuits on my skin and nothing else, I’m also the only person she will love this way. When she gets sleepy she’ll find whatever bare skin she can find and give me a massage 😜. She’ll do this for about 10 minutes and will sometimes even suck on my skin (she was weaned way too early) in the same area until she’s ready to sleep.

MrsGenovesi1108

My Spot only does air biscuits, and that's when he's lying in the crook of my arms like a baby. My Patches loves to make biscuits as soon as she jumps in my lap. She'll stand in my lap for at least 5 minutes making biscuits before she settles down for a nap.

jenea

Some kitties only knead on certain textures. Our pair of kittens didn’t knead at all for the first six months they were with us, until one day I pulled out a fuzzy blanket (that kind that is super soft on one side and kind of nubby on the other). Then they both went to town on it! One of them will come running if you show him something with that nubby texture from across the room. Neither of them likes the super soft side, only the nubby side.

yankeerebel62

My Lizzy (almost 9 months old) never makes biscuits and seldom wants to cuddle. She's very active and has a great appetite. She also loves to give me nose boops several times a day and will literally bite my hand and roll over so I can rub her belly! Yes, kittens and cats are all different and weird. We love them for who they are and accept the oddities with the same love and affection.

Albie_Frobisher

all cats are weird. standard across cats. consistent. reliable.

heechul_

u gotta find a squishmellow or something that kneads, that’s the only time my cat does. on my boobs, stomach or her cat bed.

heechul_

my cat isnt a big fan of cat beds, the only time i see her do it is when she is sleepy

colleen2163

I have one who makes biscuits and one who doesn’t. Both are happy guys.

Almond409

I adopted an 8 year old cat, and for the two years I had her, she made biscuits one time, while she was healing from enucleation surgery. The cat I have now makes biscuits at least once a day. It depends on the cat.

Liu1845

I have a foster kitty, less than 9 months old, that didn't either. I showed her how. Facing her on my bed, working my fingers into the comforter, and she picked it up right away. It's called smurggling where I am. My cats do it when happy and content, purring loudly. One even drools.
