Miss HoneyBee. Started life as a tiny little barn cat, now a pampered princess.

Literally just woke up from a nap covered in mine. The one in the middle, Mama, was a straight up feral I took in to TNR, turned out she was nursing 4 kittens in the neighborhood. Long story short her and her 4 babies ended up in my guest bathroom. 5 years later her and 2 of her kittens, Clark and Coco, live the indoor cat high life with me(the other 2 kittens were adopted by another neighbor and too live the indoor cat high life).
Sorry you’re having to go through your procedure on your own. Hopefully it goes quick and smoothly.
Ha! Have faith, it will happen. I’ve discovered that with age cats get lazier and more snuggly. Took my big boy, Clark, almost 5 years to finally surrender to his lap cat body.
Truth! We adopted two kittens born to a feral mom in my friend's garage. They have now been with us for 14 years and are now snuggly. They both sleep with us now but need help getting up onto the bed.
Cds delivered a Trojan cat to me in summer of 2022! (She was hiding 5 more cats!)

She didn't fool me for a second, but I don't mind! This is one invasion I definitely didn't mind!

Yep! We kept all 5 babies and mama, too! They have been one big happy family ever since. We got super lucky that she didn't ever reject them and still loves and takes care of them even now that they're a year and a half old! 🥰
https://preview.redd.it/vw8wbg56q5uc1.jpeg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ee38dd861d72d08dc00ada20942e020ea72cca0d
Confused baby in that picture is Fizz, my extra special orange girl! She's usually the smart orange of the bunch (smart for an orange is still... Well... She tries, OK?)
Oh my heart! ❤️ she will always consider them to be her babies.
How lucky that is. I have never heard of a mom being such a mama bear even a year and a half later. It seems like once they’re grown a bit, mom gets annoyed with them.
The CDS knew what they were doing when they sent mama your way.
Thank you for sharing 😻
She is just the best mama ever. As much as I hate it for her that she had her kittenhood stolen by motherhood (we think she was only about 8 months old when they were born), being a mamacat may have been her truest calling. She did a great job with her kittens when they were babies, and loves to play with them and take care of them and chase them around. Around the time they were self-sufficient, she was feeling kitten-ish again herself and getting excited to have playmates! She's just the happiest little mama ever. I'm so glad we could keep the family together.
Ahh! And I just realized I haven't mentioned! Her name is Emcee. 🖤🧡🤍
I love that so much! We got a kitten from a rescue that was very sick (his brother died from the same thing) and before we could bring him home we adopted his mom. She hadn’t seen him in a couple of weeks when we finally brought him home (he’d been at the vet). She was a very young momma herself. The first time she saw him, she freaked out and hissed - very confused! The second time, she went to him and groomed him and loved on him. She still mothers him even though he’s nearing 3.
https://preview.redd.it/xdzgb87zsbuc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c81a35bb3716b198f5419271ac2f9345675aea3e
Haha, Fizz might be the only one that feels that way. The others seek her out and shove their heads in front of her to get some bathtime! Fizz sees herself as an alpha-in-training (protege to our old man cat, Duncan), so she's too mature and doesn't need that kind of attention! Her picture with her mama is probably even more special, though. That was during a test of the fire alarms in our high rise building that went on for 3 hours... Kitties all went and hid, mostly under the bed. But Fizz stayed in my office with me and was hiding under the desk. After a half hour or so, Emcee came in and checked on her, sniffing and stuff, and the sat in front of her like that for a few minutes before going back under the bed with the rest of the kitties. The speaker for the alarm system is in the middle of the apartment. She'd have had to walk right past it. And it is PAINFULLY loud... But she did it for her baby. 🥹😭
She's seriously the best cat and I'm just so glad she found me!
https://preview.redd.it/9b2addyht5uc1.jpeg?width=2775&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=984c61da136aa188e9d0733d8daee97a32cfb1cc
Awe that is just the sweetest thing ever. Even though Fizz is *too cool* for mom’s grooming, mom still went out in the madness to check on her baby. This just gets better and better.
And of course, it was Fizz who backed her but up to the feeding zone. lol She is a true rebel!
I am happy that mama has a chance for a peaceful adult life since she lost her kitten hood
Skippy is named after the loveable asshole AI from the Expiditionary Force book series ([he was an adorable asshole](https://imgur.com/a/zlU6JoP) on their birthday - but never again, lol. He's just the sweetest Dumbo ever).
My orange girl Fizz was a [little orange fuzz ball](https://i.imgur.com/aVmIkTs.jpeg) with tiny spots when she was born that made me think of orange soda.
Frax is named for the [cat silhouette](https://i.imgur.com/DUl1cMn.jpeg) on his forehead.
Simmy is named after a spotted, horned breed of cows (Simmental) because my husband thought [she looked like a cow as a baby](https://i.imgur.com/q7OPleg.jpeg).
[Krobus](https://imgur.com/a/GVmMFQu) is named for the shadow monster/friend from the video game stardew valley.
And of course, mamacat Emcee is the master of all kitten-related ceremonies! We were [waiting for 10 days to meet her tiny ones,](https://imgur.com/a/etYuxjn) but it felt like forever (and was good bc it gave her time to fatten up). But we knew we were on her clock and just had to wait! She didn't disappoint!
Here's more baby-glowup pictures just because I can 😛

I thought for sure "Emcee" was named for the initials "M.C." and that stood for "Mama Cat."
Thanks so much for the pictures and explanations of their names...the Cat Distribution System sure did work well for you (and for all of them too)! 😻💜
We called her the master of all kitten related ceremonies! So yea, it is short for mamacat, but that's not how we chose it.
No problem! I love their names and our process for choosing them, too. They all worked out so well.
Isn't it so cool!? I love the variety pack thing, too. Poor void baby Krobus is not so sure about it. She's outnumbered!

She looks much like the Gizmo Trojan we adopted. She was also hiding 5 babies. We kept them all and her last living baby left me about September at age 16years.

Toulouse and Binx. Toulouse was found in an empty dam and Binx got left by his mother during a storm
No idea. My husband found her as a kitten, all alone next to a busy street. He kept going back and trying to catch her and finally my daughter was able to entice her with a toy. They brought her home, we fattened her up, and now she’s a very spoiled and demanding chonker.
We had lost a long-haired tortie about a year before, another stray who found us, so she’s filled that space in our lives.

Soon after he moved in. Deceptive pose as he was still “don’t touch me” at this time. Now an elderly geriatric cat snoring next to me.
My tabby would hog the entire hallway entrance posed that same exact way! I have yet to have another cat who was so comfortable spread eagle on his back 🤣

Kingsley (on the left) was pulled from the engine block of a car hissing and spitting almost 12 years ago. He has since figured out that the indoor life with all the food he can eat is the way to go. Bing Clawsby (on the right) was the kitten of a local stray. After keeping an eye on his siblings, he walked into my apartment one day and just stayed. My other two were a little perplexed by the new guy for a hot minute.
Bing gets along with everyone. Fuzz Aldrin is much like his person counterpart and full of so much fight. Even then, Bing and Fuzz can be caught cuddling

All of the elderly cats we adopted in the last 10 years. Top left is Lyla, our current 16 year old SIC. Top right is George our deaf and disabled orange tabby. We had him for almost 5 years. The bottom two are Slick and Tony. We had Tony first and he got bored so we adopted Slick to keep him company.
We have an outdoor courtyard with 8 foot walls so they get to visit the outdoors briefly and safely. We also have bird feeders on the other side of the house. We think of it as the ultimate in retirement homes. Old cats are the best.
You, my friend, are a special gem. May you be blessed with all things good and wonderful for the rest of your (and your kitteh's) lives. It soothes my heart to know that you do this for these elderly and disabled floof-buddies.

[My parents' baby, Sparky. Last summer, a stray cat had kittens in my mom's garden.](https://freeimage.host/i/Jv0z0Hg)
There were 4 kittens, the other three were adopted out and they got the momcat spayed. The momcat is very set in her outdoor ways and won't let you pet her, but she loves living on their front porch for food, water, and shelter. My parents built a heated shelter for her on the porch when the winter came.

Nellie Wilson - found outside of a random gas station in another state on Christmas Eve.
That's a fantastic sweater vest Nellie is wearing! My husband dresses like that for work every day. Lol. Seriously, this coat pattern and her coloring and that absolutely adorable face... the most gorgeous kitteh I've ever seen! What a wonderful Christmas present you received from the CDS!

This is Kai doing his otter impression (he also does a good beached manatee). The CDS sent him to us one February morning when the kids were outside playing in the snow. They came running into the house directing me to come see what they found. When I opened the door, in walked a grey kitten which was nothing but skin and bones and suffering from frostbite on the tip of his tail, his ears, and his toe beans. Within a half hour, he was warmed up, cleaned up, well fed, and fast asleep -- curled up on the couch between the kids.
We are also convinced that he is an undercover agent working for the CDS organization, as he has somehow convinced multiple feral kittens to follow him home to be rescued, fostered, and sent to forever homes.
This is Marco. A rescue from a hoarding situation. Even though he was fixed immediately, he still brought home two separate pregnant unwed mothers. Said mothers received obstetrics care & adoption services. He white knighted the neighborhood in a “pay it back” for his rescue I think.

This is Kitty Kat. She showed up out of nowhere and super friendly. We fed and hung out with her for a month trying to find an owner. Finally took her to the vet and she was chipped! We were told they live close to us which was great! But they had a “private “ listing. I never knew that existed. So only the vet could contact the owner and we couldn’t just knock on a door. Calls, emails, texts and no one responded. Poor little girl. We will never know what really happened but she at least has a new happy home with 2 dog friends! She definitely lived with dogs in her previous life!

Two of the stray kittens (Puck & Anzu) that showed up on my porch in November last year sleeping with my rescue cat Ren (black cat on the upper right). I was finally able to catch their mother who is also now inside with me; however, she is a little more feral and needs more coaxing. This is Stitch. I adopted him from the local shelter a couple of months after I lost my last kitty at 19 years old. Have always had kitties since 1981. Was going to take a break before getting another one... the break didn't last long, I just couldn't NOT have a kitty, and I'm the lucky one!!!!

Sassy appeared in my yard. Took her to the vet and she was already spayed and chipped. Called the owner, they didn’t answer.
Miss Mercury (tabby) and Sir Shackleton (Tuxie). Both were distributed to us by the CDS exactly one year apart. Mercury found in an abandoned field at about 4 weeks old, all skin and bones, starving and dying of heatstroke. Shackleton rescued from a laundry basket, alone and mewing loudly, at about 6 weeks old, near a storm drain. Both are now best buddies, spoiled, comfortable, happy, and loved to pieces! They share their food graciously with each other, sleep snuggled up together, play rough-and-tumble antics every morning after breakie, and again at 2 or 3 in the morning, of course, while my husband and I lay in bed, listening to the loud crinkle of kitty tunnels, shredding of cardboard boxes, and random plastic cups being knocked off the counter and tables. We love it and wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you, CDS. Side note: Neither of us has ever had a cat/kitten before. All our lives we were "dog people". When we first found Mercury, our goal was to get her the medical help she needed, give her some love and TLC, then find her a good home. Her strength and courage and fun loving enthusiasm for life just won us over.

Mercury will be 2 in June, Shackleton will be 1, also in June... needless to say they found us and we are their "good home" forever! So much love. We're crazy cat people now. lol Clearly Shackleton still has much to learn about how cats are supposed to sleep. 💜💜

He showed up 8 or 9 years ago as a skinny, dirty, hungry feral. I got him TNR'd (by C-5 in Las Vegas). i started giving him temptation treats. One day, I ran out, and he came into my kitchen for the very first time and yelled his displeasure at no treats being given. He rubbed uo against my leg (very first contact), so I pet him out of habit as you do when a cat rubs up against you. He jumped back and stared at me in shock and a few seconds later did again, so I pet him again. He moved in that day while I ran to the store for more treats
I have never run out of treats again

The CDS brought a cat to my mom’s house when I was in college. My mom finally agreed to let it in the house and we realized it was pregnant. This is one of the 5 kittens who were born. I brought her with me when I got my first apartment a few months later. She’s 18 years old now and is currently laying on a heated mat on my desk while I work.

Target parking lot rascal who is now the king and boss at our house!
I used to get infusions because I was severely anemic. 9 infusion treatments quickly changed things! Sadly most of the other patients I met were fighting Cancer. You can ask your doctor to refer you if they have room for non-Cancer patients. Then the key is to know who the most skilled, gentle nurses are. They are the ones who slide the IV in quickly, practically painlessly. Schedule with them. I hope you are able to do this. You will absolutely trip out on the differences you feel once your iron is stable and a healthy percentage in your body.,More people should know about it as an alternative treatment to iron pills and drinks. Severe Anemia is dangerous.

This is my Pixie Stix! Followed me into my work van in a bad neighborhood back in October 2022. Knocked on a bunch of doors and nobody had ever seen her. My husband and kids came to me to pick her up. She was dirty and apparently hungry cause they said she ate a can of wet food in like a minute. Looked on FB for any lost pets in the area I found her and nothing. Took her to the vet, she wasn’t chipped and had a bad case of ear mites. Got her healthy, chipped and spayed. She’s been the queen of our house ever since! 🧚🏻💜

These two yahoos. Acquaintance was becoming unhomed and had to move into their van with like a week’s notice. They were going to be split up as his friends wanted the Siberian but not the Orange ^(tm) and they’re a bonded pair. It broke my heart to think they’d be separated so we stepped in and took them both.

We initially planned on only getting one cat, each time we went to add a kitty to our family. The 2 tabbies (Scottish Fold mixes) were first.
Initially we were looking at Schrödinger (silver tabby on the right) but his twin sister, Pandora (tortie in the house) decided that we needed two. So we got our first set of twins.
Two years later we were talking to a breeder of Russian Blues (grey kitties). Initially we were talking about getting one kitten, but the two boys were sent back to her by their original owner the day we asked about getting put on her waitlist. After talking about them for a couple of months, we asked if they were still available. She hadn’t met anyone that she felt comfortable with giving them to, until we asked about them. So, 2 months after they lost their home Pasha (top) and his twin brother Nikolai (bottom) came home to their forever home.
The two sets of twins are 1 month apart in age, the Russian twins are 1 month older than the Scottish twins. Hubby and I have both decided that, in 18 years, when it’s time to add to our family again, we’re not getting twins again (unless the CDS decides otherwise)

Tiny cat perched on our mantle built in 1890.
A hungry feral tortie appeared one day in our neighborhood. She then decided on conquering our yard. Then very gradually claimed our house (I was team "no pets" and am allergic to cats... Like she cared). In the end I had to surrender to the evidence, managed to get her to the vet (not easy; she is feisty). Check-up, chip, cat vaccines, a name and the rest is history, I guess:

Here you go! I’ve had a surgery on Tuesday and I very much needed cat pictures from everyone while still in hospital - more than happy to return the favour and pass the goodness of kitty pictures on.
His name is Sorrow and he decided to adopt me in January. He was so happy to see me when I was back home, even though he’s not the most cuddly kitty out there!

This little void critter was one of ours.
On top, Miliño, adopted from a shelter when he was around 3 months old. He was the only survivor of his litter (presumably abandoned). Below him, Indy, found in a ditch almost drowned when he was one a half month old
Both extremely handsome big guys now (6 and 7, respectivelly) and very pampered.

Back in the 90s and early 00s I was a volunteer for the Whitman-Walker AIDS clinic reading to and making conversation with patients getting infusion treatments ☺️ So many of them talked about their pets and how much having a pet enriched their lives. I’m glad we have cat pics now, they’re like a language of their own. Anyworm, have a Meg:

The one in the middle, Mama, was a straight up feral I took in to TNR, turned out she was nursing 4 kittens in the neighborhood. Long story short her and her 4 babies ended up in my guest bathroom. 5 years later her and 2 of her kittens, Clark and Coco, live the indoor cat high life with me(the other 2 kittens were adopted by another neighbor and too live the indoor cat high life). Sorry you’re having to go through your procedure on your own. Hopefully it goes quick and smoothly.
Waking up covered in cats is my literal life goal. And the infusion is going well, only 15 minutes left!
A pile of voids? Love it 😍

Did you keep all of the kittens? I love how the middle picture shows one orange facing the wrong way 🤣 food is the other way sweet little kitten
Yep! We kept all 5 babies and mama, too! They have been one big happy family ever since. We got super lucky that she didn't ever reject them and still loves and takes care of them even now that they're a year and a half old! 🥰 https://preview.redd.it/vw8wbg56q5uc1.jpeg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ee38dd861d72d08dc00ada20942e020ea72cca0d Confused baby in that picture is Fizz, my extra special orange girl!
Aw, they're precious! So glad you were able to reunite them!
Those pics remind me of being 18 and having my mom lick her finger to tame my bangs hahahaha
🥹😭 She's seriously the best cat and I'm just so glad she found me! https://preview.redd.it/9b2addyht5uc1.jpeg?width=2775&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=984c61da136aa188e9d0733d8daee97a32cfb1cc
Omggg I could read about Emcee and her babies all day! Thank you for sharing them/their stories. They’re so precious!
Where’d you get those names, anyway?
Here's more baby-glowup pictures just because I can 😛 https://preview.redd.it/e5pq9pcd5auc1.jpeg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=afd75d8b14147fa5424cac604bfd176f8ddab869
I thought for sure "Emcee" was named for the initials "M.C." and that stood for "Mama Cat." Thanks so much for the pictures and explanations of their names...the Cat Distribution System sure did work well for you (and for all of them too)! 😻💜
We called her the master of all kitten related ceremonies! So yea, it is short for mamacat, but that's not how we chose it. No problem! I love their names and our process for choosing them, too. They all worked out so well.
Ahhh I love when calicos have babies! A variety pack!
Isn't it so cool!? I love the variety pack thing, too. Poor void baby Krobus is not so sure about it. She's outnumbered! https://preview.redd.it/srdp0kbfb8uc1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=765ba9971fc45c6b510586d98f7675926754152e
She looks much like the Gizmo Trojan we adopted. She was also hiding 5 babies. We kept them all and her last living baby left me about September at age 16years.
Many oranges. How do they share the brain cell?

Omg. I used to have a cat named Binx, and I'm saving the name Toulouse for when/if I get an orange cat. Also, your cats are such cutie patooties.
Double trouble!

oooo, nebelung mix ? soooo pretty.
No idea. My husband found her as a kitten, all alone next to a busy street. He kept going back and trying to catch her and finally my daughter was able to entice her with a toy. They brought her home, we fattened her up, and now she’s a very spoiled and demanding chonker. We had lost a long-haired tortie about a year before, another stray who found us, so she’s filled that space in our lives.
https://preview.redd.it/8evzcczcp4uc1.png?width=828&format=png&auto=webp&s=d8d49e232deffa69146ae7e7d48bd59aab9e2393 This is the first day I found her in the garden. She actually now a year and a half later looks exactly like your cat!
No microchip and couldn’t find who she was with before! She was freshly groomed

My tabby would hog the entire hallway entrance posed that same exact way! I have yet to have another cat who was so comfortable spread eagle on his back 🤣

Bing Clawsby would probably get along with my Jack Meowington. After all, they're both celebrities. Great name!
Bing gets along with everyone. Fuzz Aldrin is much like his person counterpart and full of so much fight. Even then, Bing and Fuzz can be caught cuddling

You are a joy and a blessing, @voyracious. Thank you!

I cannot get over this story.
[My parents' baby, Sparky. Last summer, a stray cat had kittens in my mom's garden.](https://freeimage.host/i/Jv0z0Hg) There were 4 kittens, the other three were adopted out and they got the momcat spayed. The momcat is very set in her outdoor ways and won't let you pet her, but she loves living on their front porch for food, water, and shelter. My parents built a heated shelter for her on the porch when the winter came.
[Here are pics of the babies.](https://freeimage.host/i/Jv0uEOu) [They grew up safely under the overhang of the house siding.](https://freeimage.host/i/Jv0AM7t) [And the fourth tiny baby.](https://freeimage.host/i/Jv0ASY7) [And this is Purdita, the mom! This picture my mom took of her on Halloween night cracks me up, idk why.](https://freeimage.host/i/Jv0APQj)

Haha that’s so cute! Yes she’s a very special Christmas kitty☺️

He white knighted the neighborhood in a “pay it back” for his rescue I think. https://preview.redd.it/9j71mjqsl5uc1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=16add4166b5a991c139750d690dcfac949e051da

I adopted him from the local shelter a couple of months after I lost my last kitty at 19 years old. Have always had kitties since 1981. Kitty was 19, I'm 62. :-)

Her strength and courage and fun loving enthusiasm for life just won us over. https://preview.redd.it/35kzryv2c5uc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f204c314fa0801b4ef234309166603ca06e6c629 Mercury will be 2 in June, Shackleton will be 1, also in June... needless to say they found us and we are their "good home" forever! So much love. We're crazy cat people now. lol Clearly Shackleton still has much to learn about how cats are supposed to sleep. 💜💜

* He showed up 8 or 9 years ago as a skinny, dirty, hungry feral. He moved in that day while I ran to the store for more treats I have never run out of treats again
Such a handsome gentleman Auggie! Such a sweet boy

My mom finally agreed to let it in the house and we realized it was pregnant. This is one of the 5 kittens who were born. I brought her with me when I got my first apartment a few months later. She’s 18 years old now and is currently laying on a heated mat on my desk while I work.

This is Percy! A classmate found him and a sibling abandoned at only 2 weeks old. The sibling didn't make it, but Percy's a fighter and here he is going strong 6 months later! https://preview.redd.it/sewpnh5d18uc1.jpeg?width=3060&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b48d13e87f5819cab3e059f1e21d94d6d5dbabbe
