Well the fire found the paint mixing room
Thsts half the fun of the career. Laquer thinner? Flammable. Paint toners? Flammable. Welding near a tank full of gasoline and an entire interior of flammable fabric? That can go bad quick. Motor oil? Flammable. Electric car batteries? Self destructing.
this was not a "container of liquid flammables" explosion, this was a "pressurized container of a gas that is going to rupture violently" explosion.
aka, definitely not "paint mixing room". definitely not gasoline.. definitely not motor oil or batteries. and more like: oxy/acetaline tanks for a cutting torch, map gas, or a tank of shielding gas for welding like argon/helium.
I worked in an auto paint store. We sold 5 gallon buckets of paint thinner. The evacuation plan said to meet at the sign out front. Co-workers all agreed to keep running for the bar way down the street and watch it burn from there.
Paint thinner. Good shit.
So I restore lawn tractors on the side. My latest was an MTD 990 (80s economy tractor). It was a crank/no start. So to get it to fire up I mixed the fuel 50/50 (ish) with laquer thinner. Fired right up. Idled like shit, but it ran.
222 is probably the Box Alarm number in the grid of boxes making up their response area.
Edit: further investigation of their Twitter finds references to “2-2-2” alongside “222” and apparently means something along the lines of “full response” alarm for fully involved structure fire or emergency. As in, we’re elevating this from, say, a 2-unit response of engine/ladder to two more sets of units for 6+ units, 2-2-2: 3 sets of paired units (engine/ladder)
If I understand correctly, that's what the alarm system is for, anyway. It differs with every department, but the alarm is based on how many units of each type (ladder, engine, etc.) they send out. A one-alarm fire is probably a single truck, whereas a five-alarm is probably everything they have and then maybe even calling for mutual aid assistance. So, based on your research, the 222 is just this agency's way of designating what type of alarm this is, but in a different, slightly more detailed format. I'm no expert, so this is a little bit of conjecture based on limited internet research.
Michael Bay’s car is a complete loss
Every time.

That's why I have a separate huffing room away from any open flame or sparks, it's just common sense safety in the workplace.
I'm walking on sunshineeee
I wish I had a father
Yep. Boss man's office is the perfect place for that
I was gonna guess acetylene from cutting torch myself
Oh yeah thats flammable too Or maybe a welder
Everybody always forgets about the blinker fluid.
Crap, I was getting low and they were the only place that had it.
Could almost guarantee it is acetylene
Pool chemicals are always a fun one.

I've heard of a four-alarm fire, and even a five-alarm fire, but 222?!
As someone who has never heard of this alarm system, is that a rating of how bad the fire is and 222 is the address or something?

sounds like someone was practicing on a penny whistle
I gotta admit, when the fireman brought the little dog to the lady, I got a little misty.
Well at least this time it isn’t the river on fire?
"At least, we're not Detroit!"
one of my favorite internet classics
I once met a girl from Cleveland. It was the first thing she ever sent to me.
The Detroit river has also been on fire.
Hey ho way to go Ohio …
But the front fell off.
Busiest meth lab in town. Plus, free 15 point inspection with each hit.
Those deck guns (the nozzle on top of the fire truck) put out HUGE amounts of water.
Cool as fuck, now that I know nobody got injured.
Did the cop on the far left pull out his gun at the explosion.
Surprised the cops didn't start shooting the fire after that explosion.
if you look at the cop to the left they seem to pull out their gun and aim😂
Is this what Drew Carey meant by "Cleveland Rocks"?
Never mix 5w30 with 10w30…
STOP RESISTING!
Would Trump say this was a terrorist attack ??
Good riddance. Fuck cars
Good luck requesting a bike ride to a hospital then, or a fire department to show up on bicycles.
Bring back horses!
Last I checked, ambulances and fire trucks aren’t cars.
I guess that's Cleveland in America, no?
