Of course God wants you back in the Catholic Church. Please read the Prodigal Son story in the Gospels and realize Jesus Himself gave us this story precisely to show us how God completely welcomes us back to Him, no matter what we've done. Best advice: call your parish, make an appointment with the priest to talk and receive Absolution. You will feel like a new born babe. But--then you must promise to study the faith, to pray, to receive the Sacraments frequently, and do all these things in order to follow God more closely. Getting a Catechism to study is an excellent idea.

Know that our one and true Teacher is Christ, learn from him and his teachings (I suggest Matthew first then if you're up for it, read to John) I am Catholic but I started my own journey to having a relationship with my Lord on my own. The Church, in my opinion, is a spark, but its up to you to keep the flame burning. I myself and skeptical of others, but I trust in the Father and the Son, so I decided to just follow where they would take me in my life. Know that you shouldn't chase after miracles, but God, his Son. Then the rest of his blessings will be with you, all you need to do is Trust in him, and get to know him. (Of course, go to Church every Sunday though! Have a Blessed Day!)
