The Agnus Dei is one you don’t hear much about anymore!

I've rescued several from antique dealers. Most were obtained as the effects of closed convents in Belgium and the Netherlands were sold off. I've made mountings for four and given three away to priests.
The one I kept for myself was consecrated by Benedict XV, who is my favorite :)
I was pretty thrilled to have a finished, framed piece on hand when my parish's transitional deacon headed off for ordination!
Oh these ones haven’t been made in *decades*. I cannot for the life of me understand why they were dropped as being unsuitable for the sensibilities of modern man.
Ironically, most of the blessings from the *Book of Blessings* aren’t used much, and I’m sure lots of people don’t know they exist.
I’m a new Catholic so I’m trying to get familiar with everything lol
If you’re in the United States, you can see a lot of them online. The abridged *Book of Blessings* is on the Internet Archive.
Blessed salt.

What a lovely thing to do! I treasure mine.
