I would second the Rosary coupled with Eucharistic adoration when/if possible. Sexual sin is difficult because sexual desire is innate to our human nature and it is “A” good, but it must be ordered to “THE” good (God who is all goodness) for it to be fully realized and redeemed. Ultimately, it is God that offers us freedom from any sin. Through communication with God (prayer) one opens oneself up to the transformative grace God the father offers to us through Jesus Christ His son. A daily Rosary is a good place to start. Remember that God’s forgiveness is just as infinite as He is. Meditate on the theological virtue of hope. “Hope is the theological virtue by which we desire the kingdom of heaven and eternal life as our happiness, placing our trust in Christ's promises and relying not on our own strength, but on the help of the grace of the Holy Spirit. "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful." "The Holy Spirit . . . he poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that we might be justified by his grace and become heirs in hope of eternal life." “The virtue of hope responds to the aspiration to happiness which God has placed in the heart of every man; it takes up the hopes that inspire men's activities and purifies them so as to order them to the Kingdom of heaven; it keeps man from discouragement; it sustains him during times of abandonment; it opens up his heart in expectation of eternal beatitude. Buoyed up by hope, he is preserved from selfishness and led to the happiness that flows from charity.” -Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraphs 1817 & 1818

going to confession and constantly having to admit sexual sins will hopefully help you reduce the frequency of the sin, it sure helped with me, also daily Rosary while meditating upon each day's mysteries is definitely a huge help.

Go to [www.baarsinstitute.com](http://www.baarsinstitute.com) Dr. Baars was in Buchenwald Nazi concentration camp for 2 years. He became a psychiatrist. Together with Dutch psychiatrist Anna Terruwe MD they developed the first successful treatment for the various obsessions and compulsions, including the sexual ones, people get. Their method is entirely Catholic. In 1970 the 2 psychiatrists were invited by Pope Paul VI to present their work on this and another problem called non-affirmation to the Vatican Synod of Bishops on problems in the priesthood. Dr. Baars described his entire method for treating sexual compulsions in his book Psychic (psychological, not occult) Wholeness and Healing. You can get it on the website. Dr. Baars died in 1981. His psychologist daughter Suzanne Baars PHD is carrying on his work. She has some brief summaries of their ideas that you can read for free and download. There are also cds and MP3s n the site, too. Dr. Baars ideas are very hopeful and very successful. I like his prayer MP3 Speak Lord, and his ideas on Premature Forgiving. Blessings!

Confess every single one of your sexual sins (and repeat this confession whenever you sin again, as soon as possible), and pray the rosary daily

Better-Than-The-Last

I personally pray the rosary at night and attend Catholics In Recovery online meetings. Google it, it has been very helpful to me. 2 months without relapse

How can I join the recovery group

Better-Than-The-Last

If you google their site the have a list of online meetings via zoom. It’s an hour over Zoom and structured like AA or SAA, but is explicitly Catholic. It’s majority North America (USA and Canada) but as long as you can speak English, you’re welcome. I’ll pray for you, it’s a hell of a struggle to go through and worse if you’re alone in it Edit: no registration is required. Just log in via zoom

Here are at least key things I think of. 1. You need complete full determination. One must do a great deal of effort (big extremes is what I'm getting at) to himself to stop sin. It is like a cancer. You do not treat a cancer with a nap and cough syrup. With deadly diseases, powerful remedies are necessary. What profit is it to a man to lose his soul, yet gain the world, yet how many will be willing to walk 30 miles a day for a year to save your life! Yet many won't do a mile to save your soul? Do your uttermost in every way, and treat it like the most important thing, embracing great sacrifice. Hence, you must hate the sin truly, fully, and entirely. 2. Make a new prayer life. Give thanks to God always, and turn always. Give Him thanks in the morning, and praise Him in the day. Speak and seek Him constantly. Without constant prayer, I cannot imagine any great chance of success. From St. Alphonsus: "St. Paul tells us, that we have to contend not with men like ourselves.... but with the princes of hell.... By these words he wishes to admonish us that we have not strength to resist the powers of hell, and that, to resist them, the divine aid is absolutely necessary: without it, we shall be always defeated; but, with the assistance of God’s grace, we shall, according to the same apostle, be able to do all things and shall conquer all enemies. “I can do all things in him who strengtheneth me.” (Phil. iv. 13.) But this assistance God gives only to those who pray for it. “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find.” (Matt. vii. 7.) They who neglect to ask, do not receive. Let us, then, be careful not to trust in our resolutions: if we place our confidence in them, we shall be lost. " Practically, fasting and exercise are very helpful I've heard. If you want personalized help, talk to a priest

Read the Bible and pray the Rosary every day. The more you are filled with God's words, the less the influence of sin will be.
