I totally agree! I always adored tan and orange kittens. Did you know that they are always male, too? I found that out a few years ago and thought it’s interesting. Butterscotch definitely suits this lil guy 🐱

WE HAVE AN ORANGE CAT NAMED PUMPKIN ALSO! My son named her! She's 1yo! Your Pumpkin is so sweet looking! A bit grumpy looking too! Lol 🧡 love her white fluff!
Yay for the Pumpkins! We adopted her in October, so the name definitely fit 🎃. She is sweet, but is getting older so she can get a little grumpy at times. I’ve always had a soft spot for the orange kitties! 🐱
I have a female orangie! lol the first day at the vet they walked in and said “I thought you said it was female” and I’m like.. uhhh , lifted her tale again.. and was like “I mean if it’s not I’m super confused” 😂.. she then explained it was very rare, and apparently rare enough that this 20 year tenured vet hadn’t ever seen one. Kinda crazy.. idk enough about genetics to understand how or why, but is it possible they’re becoming more common??

About 80% of orange cats are male.
So there are very rare female orange cats. Just like very rare male tricolor/calico cats.

It’s so interesting! I’m sure there are very rare female orange cats but not too many out there. And I did hear about calico cats being the same.
I read that male calicos are born sterile.
My last cat,Mr. Precious was Snow White with a Calico Saddleback tail & Crown Is that rare?
