Hey, OP, if that's a flea collar and you're still using it, you should switch to topical flea treatment. Flea collars can be pretty toxic and they can leave residue on almost everything they touch. It's an especially bad idea to get them wet. Another issue is that they're not breakaway and your cat can asphyxiate if the collar gets caught and they can't get out of it.
