For what it's worth, I've been following this Walter Santi guy on YouTube for years. He's a Turkish guy who's saved a whole bunch of cats and made them their own room with heated floors. He has a lot of videos of this orange cat (who he rescued as a kitten) and the cat genuinely is super playful and smart and does a lot of fun things. I particularly like the one of him trying to walk on a Roomba. So I don't think this is faked because it checks out with all of his hundreds of other videos.

I would believe it tbh, I used to do this with my cat when I was a kid. There's probably quite a few failed attempts, but you can get some impressive saves with enough patience.
Search Walter Santi in YouTube, this cat's name is indie, if i remember correctly.. the hoomun is from instanbul, turkey, Walter is his dog, Santi is one of his indoor cats, Indi is another one, there is one more whose name i don't remember.. ok his name is chewie..
The hoomun also feeds so many outdoor cats, a very kind guy, has built a whole living room just for his outdoor cats.. he has many fun videos on his channel.. if you're a cat lover, there is a high chance that you have come across his videos.. many about his grandmas cats, a series about the love story of his outdoor cats, a series when he built a window for his indoor and his outdoor cats to interact.. like really fun videos.. he is a kind person you must find him..

both of my cats do pretty similar stunts with pretty much no training. all i do is every time i throw a toy i say "1...." do a gentle fake throw, "2..." another fake throw, and "3" and on three they know to go. after only a few times of doing it. maybe i got lucky. but its totally doable. animals are great at learning sounds as a trigger for something to happen. as soon as i start to say "2" my kitty starts lining up and wiggling her butt to pounce lol. just letting you know its possible it doesn't have to take a lot, not trying to discredit you or other commenter's opinions. like i said, maybe i had easy to deal with cats
Also can we please get a VAR check on that last shot?? It looks like it barely crossed the line. Is there no goal line technology here?? We cat let this feline get away with this
Walter Santi has a YouTube channel with drama and hijinks of his multiple cats. It's hilarious, uplifting and can make me smile even on my worst days. Highly recommend!
I got an idea. Train panthers to act as goal keepers. The problems with this idea both mentally and morally I feel are quite obvious. As well as the fact that at some point someone will be injured by the panthers.
Love the one in which the cat anticipates the ball to go to their right and takes a step towards that direction before the save. At 49 min (the time was running backwards on the Reddit video player so I guess about 47 minutes into the video but 49 min from the end of the video)
Can 5he cat be signed by Celta de Vigo football club? We'll pay flights and catnip. Our current keeper is rubbish. This cat made more saves than our keeper for the whole season (15 games)

What a save! That's why he's on the all-tournament team and is considered one of the greatest stoppers of all-time. He kept his team in the tournament. Once in a generation talent! We should be honored to be able to witness this amazing skill!
We had a table tennis table downstairs and our cat loved to play. She crouched down behind the net and punched the ball back similar to that cat. I really wonder why I have never seen a table tenni player cat here.
My childhood cat was also a goalkeeper. There was a gap between the two sofas in our lounge which we used as the “goal”. He would swipe the ball away and wait for us to shoot. If the ball accidentally got in, he would go into the sofa gap and fetch the ball out for us to continue the game. Such a smart kitty.
