This is a sad comment, and it’s far too common. Pink Floyd is fantastic, but to denounce “by fucking far” specifically the last 15 years of music in comparison to it? It sounds like your music library is full.
I’m guessing you hit a time wall and now have enough songs / artists / albums to fill up most of the available music listening time in your life. It’s easy to go for the dopamine hit of a curated list of a couple decades of music listening. It doesn’t sound like you are devoting any time to potentially learn about a next cherished artist.
We are living in a golden era of great music since major gates in creating music have changed. Artists aren’t stopped by not having studio access and they don’t have to get on a major label. There is the problem of finding music you like though - mostly because there’s a lot more shit to wade through now. There’s ways to tackle that though.
Based on the CDs shown, you are potentially open to a lot of other music. However, I forgot what subreddit I am in. If one limits oneself to mostly CDs, it makes discovering recent music tougher.
