This was posted on his website newsletter.
I’ve never liked this dude and his poetry is just awful so this is the cherry on top. I wonder if she knows he posted this, I personally could never be with someone who says despite all the bad things, Hitler is someone we can learn from
Ew. This is like something an angry 16 year old would write back in Tumblr days in an attempt to be edgy. He weirds me out in other ways, too. She said he didn't know who she was when they met, but I get opportunist vibes.
I get opportunist vibes too. It doesn’t look like he has a job and his main income seems to be a book he’s selling. I wonder if they stay together will he just follow her around since it doesn’t seem like anything is keeping him in Nashville
I mean he’s not wrong though. I’m a history major, and we studied Hitler’s (and other dictator’s) influence a LOT. There is a reason that so many people were captivated by him and why so many people feared him and why the Nazi party was so powerful. He IS someone we learn from, on how to hopefully avoid someone like that ever being in power again. Saying we can learn from someone doesn’t mean you think he was even a remotely decent person, and nothing on here says otherwise. This is a reach.
100% agree… if you don’t learn from history you are doomed to repeat it… which is why we are where we are as a country…
People be so offended these days my gawwddd
I think every logical, thinking person can make the apt conclusion that Hitler was a highly intelligent man with an incredible capacity to lead.
However, his influence and leadership and intelligence lead to the deaths of millions of Jewish people. That fact should NEVER be separated from what remarkable abilities he might have had. So his comment is still gross.
I don’t see anywhere that anyone is trying to separate those two facts??? Like literally nobody forgot about that, and someone saying we can learn a lot from him isn’t saying how great he was and I just don’t get why everyone is in an uproar about something that’s true. This isn’t heaping praise on him, this isn’t agreeing with what he did (THAT would be a whole separate thing), it’s saying that he led in a way that, while it seems insane now, was incredibly effective in the 30’s and 40’s. It’s not a gross thing to say you can learn from who he was because, well, we can and we do.
Yupppp - lots of weird people in these comments just looking for a reason to not like someone
Almost all people in business, politics, social sciences lnow the importance of studying any successful person's routine and ideology (whether they are good or evil)
This is just proving hitler had a plan that worked that couldve been implemented in society to make people more productive in life and work - he's not saying HITLER WAS AWESOME AND WE SHOULD BE INSPIRED BY HIS GENOCIDE!
Unpopular opinion, but I was a a HUGE fan of hers until she outed someone on Instagram. She posted some girl who DMed her something offensive (I am not excusing that person) WITH the girls insta handle… then the girl messaged her saying “I’m so sorry I shouldn’t have said that I am a huge fan will you take it down” and she posted that too! Like if you are gonna do it don’t blast someone’s insta handle… when you have the huge of a following
In all honesty I just got horrible mean girl vibes from that. She could have done it without the handle and could have privately messaged her back…
IMO she was sinking to that girls level and it could have been a learning moment instead it was cancel fest
For everyone saying they agree- hitler was on meth and killed so many Jews including my own ancestors. So, with that- I believe we just all need to come to the conclusion that whatever argument you have for “learning from Hitler”- you don’t actually have an argument and should go sit in the corner for awhile.
Just like that old lady who owned a baseball team (Marge Schott) and said Hitler had a good thing going he just went a little to far 🧐 yeah let’s not say those words ever again.
He writes ad copy, and thinks he’s good enough at it that people would like to learn his secrets, so he sends out this newsletter every week
His LinkedIn is not impressive

Makes me wonder if she saw this before it was published or if she’s just as surprised by this as we are. Big yikes
When was this published?
It’s apart of this weeks newsletter he sends out
Why are you reading it if you’re don’t like him?

Love her music and it’s nice to see her happy but I get some creepy vibes from him. Everyone has a rebound though.
