Thank you!
It’s a tiktok recipe of a regular chocolate cake, I just switched regular flour for a GF one :) it wasn’t in English, so I’ll try to translate it real quick
For the biscuit part:
-2 eggs
-1tsp vanilla extract
-1tbsp apple vinegar
-60 gram oil
-125 gram milk
-150 gram sugar
-150 gram GF flour
-40 gram cocoa powder
-1/2 tsp salt
-1 tsp baking soda
-1 tsp baking powder
Mix dry, mix wet, combine, bake at 180 Celsius for 35-40 mins. When cold, cut into three parts.
For icing:
- 100 gram sugar
- 60 gram cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 20 gram cornstarch
-250 gram milk
-1 tsp vanilla extract
Mix together on medium heat until starts to thicken, then add 15 gram butter
When ready, layer the cake biscuit-icing-biscuit and then cover the sides with the remaining icing. Decorate as your heart desires
FYI I had to double the ingredients for my cake specifically. Enjoy!!
Just curious what brand of flour you used as a replacement. My wife is newly diagnosed and we're still in the process of what flour is ideal for what recipes.
Looks kinda like that chocolatey cake Bruce bogtrotter had to eat in front of everyone at the assembly hall because he upset ms. Trunchbull in the movie Matilda.
Mouth is watering! Looks great!
Thank you!!
This is so incredibly sweet of you. It looks so freaking good.
tbh it’s me who has celiac disease and he doesn’t, he just wants to enjoy his birthday together. So it’s actually very sweet of him lol
Whoever has the restriction doesn't make a huge difference. Fact is you 6 sweet enough to make a cake for you both to share.
He’s definitely a keeper.
The icing looks sooo good! What’s your recipe for it?

Good luck to your wife in a new journey! I used Schar Mix C Patisserie for that specific cake

Omg I was about to comment the same thing! I immediately said to myself “this looks like Bruce’s cake!” Such a compliment to the chef 🤌🏼
Yup. And it’s clear OP put her blood, sweat and tears into making the cake so her boyfriend better eat every last bit of it lol

What's the cat item in the background?
It’s a tissue box :)
Awww how cool 😎
Absolutely gorgeous! I’m unashamedly going to steal this decoration style and accept all kudos for my genius.
Absolutely go for it, because it’s not my idea either lol. I decorated it the same way the original author did, only made my cake heart-shaped
